@BeddieKU23 he literally is and even against top 10 teams on the road won more than he’s lost by a decent amount.

In season big games, he wins at a clip that I’m 99% is the highest among active coaches.

@BeddieKU23 if we get this fastbreak offense which then opens it up for BiG Dave because we don’t start out every game force feeding him the first 4-5 possessions and get down 10-2.....yeah then Self’s figured out how he should adjust his scheme to fit this team

@mayjay the best we’ve looked is when he’s figured out the lineups and played one guy that many have clamored for all year......

Where’s @benshawks08 - that dude trusted Self and this team to win the big 12 when I 100% doubted them.

While playing wrong lineups we went 6-1........uk loss with those athletes and then och out really helped force Bill’s hand and reconsider things.

Can definitely see what you’re saying. Tools he’s got them but his shot ain’t great and he needs to go shadow Frank for an entire summer. Someone get Frank to Lawrence for the summer and pay him plus expenses to train our guards (best jump I’ve ever seen in a player).

Joe gets his right elbow so far in front of his body he’s like the anti chicken wing jump shooter....needs a tweaking.

He also needs to drive every time with a purpose. Shoot 3 three’s a game and unless you’re 2/3 don’t bother chucking again.

Harris just limits us title wise against athletic teams who also have skill (Auburn, duke, tucky, zags ect).

5 spot was good BECAUSE we didn’t feed the post it was fast break to start and it opened things up to feed the post when Baylor finally got back and we ran controlled half court sets.

Other feeding of the post was from dribble drive and yes, we still had the we are absolutely throwing it into the post possessions but that isn’t how we started the game nor should it ever be ever again.....Bill.

He had one drive he gave up bad but otherwise defensively was solid. Would like a 2-3 steals like isu where he’d just strip the ball away but Baylor’s guards are obviously much better than isu’s

Post game Bill loves Harris - no surprise always likes the least offensive talented player who tries hard

Side note: Harris was terrific tonight

Joe - not as terrific needs to attack twice as much as he shoots. Defensively was okay but didn’t impact like ISU.

Does 13-5 win the league? Say worst case we lose 4 more times I think 13-5 at worst ties for the lead looking at Tech and Baylor’s remaining schedules

Divisive? It’s a message board....I came here stating emphatically Self screwed this up. As expected I got crapped on because I don’t see practice and I’m behind a computer. Divisive was never me it was people who didn’t like hearing at 18-3 we have some glaring holes keeping us from being the title team we thought we were coming into the season.

I like a good debate you will never offend me. I’ve enjoyed when people don’t just say “oh you don’t know”
They come at me like dchawk and texashawk with reasons I’m right or wrong. That’s the point of any sports message board to discuss and analyze the team.

Not really following what your posts means I’m not superior I’m seeing that the roster has been mismanaged and pointing it out.

You taking offense as I’m lauding I’m superior is funny....no one on this board or pretty much all of coaching is superior to Self....but he does make mistakes that’s what I pointed out in my fan frustration.

@jayballer67 you’re assuming he will get in foul trouble. You’re assuming the other team will feed the post like we feed Dave meanwhile most teams don’t they get out and run.

There is a definite risk of foul trouble but what we gain offensively (only when Dave is bad) seems worth it for 4-5 minutes a game....let’s see what happens.

@jayballer67 what you said about Wilson is true but same for Mitch and Kj (he’s 6-6 and has played the 5).

I’m conceding D won’t be good but that’s okay I expect with Joe and Harris hounding the ball that I’m willing to give that up for having the 5 best basketball players and scorers on the floor.

Give up defense for better offense and pushing the pace. Opens things up for Och and Braun.

Also what Texashawk said the breakdown per player is correct each has their deficiencies.

You guys act like we are giving up a lot when in reality we are fine we have 6-6, 6-8, 6-8. Yes, if we play Oscar again I get it but after watching Svi shut down Bagley in the Elite 8.....rolling with Wilson at the 5 puts our best players on the court.
