Switched over to the Gonzaga game for awhile. Idaho State has a Muggsy Bogues-sized guy who's throwing his body around against the bigs. (Listed at 5-8 on the roster...no way.) Entertaining, if nothing else. .

@Gorilla72 Guess I haven't. Good to hear though. It's just nice to have KU competitive in something other than men's hoops. Hopefully the new AD can start working on that.

@Fightsongwriter They talked about Naismith in the first episode, replayed earlier last night. It included an excerpt from that radio interview with Gabriel Heatter where he talked about coming up with the original rules.
You're right about the East Coast bias, but not too surprising when you consider that the national media in the Fifties and Sixties were even more concentrated in the East than they are today. Also, those college basketball doubleheaders at Madison Square Garden back then were huge draws, as was the NIT, which for a while was considered a bigger tournament than the NCAA.
Okay, now I'm happy...they finally got around to doing a few minutes on the 1987-88 team, with the emphasis on Larry Brown and Danny Manning (and rightfully so, though I would've liked to see a bit more about the surrounding cast).
Anybody been watching the miniseries on ESPN2? Some interesting stories so far.
Unfortunately, the longest segment about KU was the one on the 1957 NCAA final vs.Carolina.
Interesting how the show critized Coach Harp for holding the ball in the final overtime instead of going inside to Wilt, even though he was being double- and triple-teamed.
Besides the segments on Wilt, they also showed a brief clip of Lynette Woodard joining the Globetrotters. Theiy're airing more episodes tonight.
