Dave Aranda is at the top of a lot of lists and Wisconsin is where he made his name. Jim Leonhard probably isn't most peoples first choice for the job. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a strong push for Leipold. I hope that doesn't happen. Despite my Badger fandom for decades it's really only because I lived there for 15 years right when they got good in sports. I'd rather see KU football succeed at this point.

I assume they do strength of schedule things in NCAA football and ours I assume is fairly high since we played a decent non con slate. We’re not 5-0 playing little sisters of the poor but more big brothers of the middle class. I’m assuming we are a top 20 team. Next week will be our sternest test yet. One more cozy confines game before some hellacious road games. It’s a silly debate to be honest because not one of us on September 1 would have said 5-0 for this team. It’s awesome to be here and I’m enjoying the ride

Going back to losing to TCU late last season in basketball our teams are on a 16-0 streak.
@Texas-Hawk-10 big pet peave of mine is people saying we got lucky, our coaches, etc. 11 points is all that team scored. They have a really trendy young coach who won’t last too long in Ames I’m afraid. The double doinks we’re both about forty yards, the last one nearly that long of memory serves correctly. The defense forces them to settle for long fg attempts. I didn’t like the punt call necessarily but it was a call that helped us win the game because unless I’m mistaken they ultimately didn’t score on that one.

The feel of this one is way different than the other games. Defense and hard earned yards are leading the way today and I'm actually encouraged we can play a game like this because our D hasn't come close to looking like this so far.

I absolutely loved going to amazing sunny days like that during my time in Lawrence. The team stunk except for 1985 but it was still a great experience.

The list of names there is boring. These haves and have nots in college football means players build up ridiculous stats against inferior opponents and these days the entire BIG is inferior to the OSU machine. OSU has more 5 stars than the rest of the league combined. I don't get too impressed by it all to be honest. It's way more compelling when someone like Jalon comes along and is a part of an outmanned team and leads them to great win after great win. I don't know what Stroud would do playing for KU. If the Heismann is an MVP type award Jalon is the front runner by miles.
One slight rant against the award. Why are the best players in football always QB's, RB's or WR's? There's never been a year where a DB or Center is the best player? No offensive lineman is ever the best college football player? Rant over. Jalon for MVP.
