When the wide bodied TE makes a catch like that to keep a drive going you just sense this team just has a team of destiny type thing going. Not that we're going to a big time bowl, but we're on our way. Back up QB runs for 80 yards for a TD and is 15-20 passing. Key RB goes out for season and guys step up. Seemingly like 6-7 guys down injured today, yet we're still rolling. Really remarkable what we're seeing. Lance Leipold should win coach of the year for the effort put forth this season.

@AsadZ It's a pick that's being panned by a lot of Sox fans. The common comment is if he's so good why didn't the Royals hire him? I obviously hope he's good but our administration has screwed up so many hires I'll believe it when I see it.
@bskeet He grew up in Wisconsin and was a 6 time national champion head coach. He was 109-6 during his time there at UW Whitewater.
I hadn't realized Marcus Garrett had a shot, but he broke his wrist back in mid October. He'll be out a little while longer. Hopefully he gets to stick with the varsity squad.

Braun with some major minutes tonight. Got fouled on one play by Ochai and made the bucket too. Braun had a nice block. Ochai finally got some minutes scoring 9 points. Doke played too making it three Jayhawks in that game.

Christian Braun played 24 minutes and scored 9 points last night. Ochai can't find the floor at all in Utah.
@Texas-Hawk-10 They have amazing talent which makes it worse that they felt like they needed to cheat to win a world series.
@FarmerJayhawk I think the bowls can select whom they want as long as they have the 6 wins. I'd guess bowls would love to have KU come as it'd be a big story to have KU in a bowl game.

If I'm not mistaken Zach had an unfortunate first time on the floor. He gets called in and immediately drains a three. I was like, wow, this guy is going to be the GOAT! I say unfortunate because he didn't continue making 3's like that but he does have a high side and I think because of what Beddie pointed out we're going to enjoy him by the time he's done here.
KJ is going to be a stud by the time he leaves here I believe. Don't know anything about Cam, Zuby and Udeh so thanks for the info @Kcmatt7.

Watching him run helter skelter all over the field for 5 games I kept thinking that young man is going to get busted in half. Unfortunately the modern style QB that Jalon reminds us of is prone to lengthy injury delays.
I don't follow this too closely, but reading about a 3rd new recruit who is highly regarded sounds like a good sign for the future whatever the future looks like. Elmarko Jackson is the guy we really wanted according to one tweet. Several other 4 stars coming in. None are big however so hopefully we're set there with Udeh and others.
Since I follow the BIG too I hate this. I'd seriously rather see the league say screw it, we're still playing home and home. 26 game reg schedule. Still leaves time for a couple of tuneups and a travel to exotic places tourney. Ditch the conference tourney. Fans will love paying for a fuller slate of competitive home games than paying for games against Southern Hawaii Institute of Technology and other similar schools. Seriously it's a slap in the face of people to tell them they have to buy tickets to a game against some team we're going to beat by 40 and have 3 or 4 games a year on the schedule like that.

The Barry Alvarez model was to draw a fence around the state, not so much for the skilled position but for the positions that need brawn and muscle. They did this really well for several decades even as the 2 schools you mentioned had much higher rated classes. A lot of Chicago kids go to Madison too so the fertile grounds are close enough. There's also the factor of a lesser Big 12 now that Texas and OU are gone and replaced by far less glamorous teams like Cincy and Houston.
FWIW, Tait wrote today that the Badger opening has got to be making KU officials nervous. If I was exclusively a Badger fan he'd be the one I want. I really hope he stays in Lawrence though.
