@sfbahawk I think that is one of the reason that this particular game without many of the students was why we lost to SDS two years ago right before conference.

We found out that height and weight are not a problem for Lucas. He can guard any size player and out perform him if the player is a tad bit slower than Landon. McKay, Gathers and WVU Goggle Eye are a tad bit faster than Landon. Enter Mickelson, Bragg and Diallo.

Looking at Rico's assist record, it seems like a double team will be appropriate. Once the ball goes into the paint, he rarely throws it back out. This weekend within 48 hours, we will find out how strong these #1 ranked Jayhawks really are. It won't get any easier as Conference now gets underway.

That's fine with me and I will fake my answers quickly to read which ever article I want to. I'll keep looking for the direct Micro, Macro comment, but my main point is that apparently, the things we write back and forth are being read by people surrounding the Men's Basketball program. Self was just saying, "I don't care what @wrwlumpy or others write about me, I'm going to run this program my way." Which as we all know means that our disagreement will stay as only (Our Disagreements).

UCI Coach talked after the game that they are the team that usually wears down the other Bigs. Then he went on to say that they had never faced a team that had this many to throw at the Anteaters. Depth of the Bastards is what's going to do it for us. We realize that we are blessed with our guards and Perry. Hunter and Landon made a statement last night that they belong. By the way, when Diallo came out of the game, I realized that Wiggs never got yelled at like Coach screamed at him.
I check out the KU SPORTS web site just like all of the other basketball sites. I noticed that many of the crowd that stayed there have been checking out our site and conversing about our blogs. One in particular, HEM's MICRO AND MACRO has been getting big play from the other site that Keegan is a part of. I congratulate HEM for his excellent method of playing the Devil's Advocate and being so thought provoking and raising our site to the point that at least the people and reporters who cover KU Basketball have to acknowledge that we as fans exist. That being said, Tom has raised a "Middle Finger" to HEM and the Gang of Five in this morning's article on the KU Sports Basketball web site.

It has been a week since the SDS game. Finals are over, Jamari graduated and Coach has had this team to himself with two-a days since last Tuesday. I'm sure the experienced Bastards were doing their best to hold back the Inglorious Rookies and visa versa. One of the in game decisions that Coach makes comes from finding out if you are following the Scouting Report. All of our Bastards know that this would be the game to take advantage of this information on how to play these Footers from the Bedroom Community of Irvine.
We will know by who starts who the one is with the best week of practice. We will see who improves the most by the number of minutes played. After this comes Rico Gathers and then the team that this week passed KU in the Power Ranking, Buddy and the Sooners. It has been a long, long week to wait for this game. Tonight I think we learn something.

Mamaduo has learned the great Jeff Withey ability of not leaving his feet to block a shot. I don't think he really learned anything, he just can't get his 300 lbs. off the ground. He's not easy to foul out, but he is easy to wear out if we run like we have in all of our games except Harvard.

As a child, I understood what it meant to laugh until your ribs hurt. The magic displayed through the warm up with "Sweet Georgia Brown" was simply unreal. The start of an overhead pass which would end up going backwards to another player while the passer would keep going towards the original target and shake his hand and scream, "How you doin Curly!", It would crack up and be the loudest, painful laughter I would ever experience. Meadowlark was the Maestro of the entire proceeding while Curly smiled the entire time with his exhibition of dribbling skills while laying on the ground laughing at the Washington Generals who were trying to steal the ball. In every Globe Trotter game that I experienced, Meadowlark always made his half court hook shot.
@BeddieKU23 So what you're saying, is that if it looks like we are losing, bring in Jamari ? I saw the SDS game slipping away like the MSU game did. Then I saw Jamari get rebounds, steals and dunks until we were back up by 14. I think we would probably win with Diallo going back in at that time, but, allowing for points by the opponents when a rookie is out of position a couple of times down the court and the game gets tight again, only shows what kind of decision Self has to make. I've been called a "Jamari lover" and that doesn't bother me, it is that feeling that the opposite of that is in the thought process of some of our bloggers.
As a senior in high school, I had worked my way into the starting rotation. I didn't play football, but at the end of the season, some of the football players would try out for basketball after we had already had about three weeks of practice. They were bigger than I was, they were stronger and faster. The only problem is that they played basketball like football players. There were no shot fakes so I blocked every shot or they kept barreling through screens. Diallo really hasn't been playing basketball very long and it is unfair to compare his learning curve to someone like the Savant that was JoJo. Diallo will play when he helps more than he hurts.
Question. Would you rather beat Kentucky in Allen Field House with Jamari continuing to play as he did against SDS or lose by one because we need to see the greater picture. Also, after the loss, would you praise Self for doing the perceived "Correct thing" so that OAD's will come to KU because Coach will let them work out their deficiencies on the court rather than in practices, that we are not allowed to witness. The argument is basically that in order to get "Steeled," fans have to witness it, not just a good Coach. Although I appreciate these discussions, I support Self's philosophy of "Prove to me in practice that you know what you are doing and when you do that, I'll trust you with more minutes." Because I write this, HEM will refer to me as he has done to all of us who don't agree with him 100% as, and I quote, "Jamari Lovers." We can always converse with each other about who should play and who shouldn't. But I'll stick with Coach and his professional staff. People leave Churches because they disagree with someone or a different philosophy.
Diallo will play when he plays. I stayed with the Church through the "Cliff Alexander is the next JoJo" argument. Coach wants a National Championship more than anyone.
