Can't get open looks because no one can get by their man. You can mitigate that a bit with great passing but this team definitely isn't elite in that area.

It’s not an excuse, it’s a fact. Defense could be better but the analytics are clear that defense has a small effect on how the opponent shoots. They’ll cool off, we’ll get better.

I disagree. They haven't given up an any game this year I feel like. They care. They try. Think we will cut it to ten and then lose by 15-20

This has not been the same team since the Christmas break. That's when the switch was turned off and only came back on for the first TCU game.

Dave needs to be a better rebounder. We played great D and almost gave up another second chance point because he didn't even try to rebound.

Dribble drives is ok if that is the system. But we don’t seem to run offense that really is optimized for that.

We just don’t seem to have an identity.

The drive and get fouled instead of kicking then brick 1 of 2 at the line strategy isn't working.

Well. This isn't good. At least we have a Hall of Fame coach and 3 stud 6'8 guys coming in next year. Chalk this season up to bizarro pandemicland and bad personnel and chances are most likely we are a top 10 team next year.

Talent is still the same as the decent team of the first 9 games or so this year, so I'm hoping we can figure something out and salvage the season.

It's not. We're not a good shooting team. The strength of this offense is driving, but we don't run sets designed to open up driving lanes.

One common thing with the way we have been going - -we dig ourselves such a huge hole from the get go - - just adds that much more pressure trying to come back. get's to the point the guys get to thinking and it's true you have to almost make every shot to crawl back and opposition has to miss makes it really hard

DeJuan Harris has to learn how to play defense. He commits way too many fouls because he plays defense with his hands instead of his feet.

Harris is a guard, just can't shoot. Bryce needs to get stronger (and healthy obvs). But the #1 need this offseason is a guard.

Remarkably similar to the Texas game. There’s a highly significant proportion of the shooting that’s been just dumb luck. Most nights Texas and Tennessee wouldn’t shoot 40% from 3 against air.

But the shots Tennessee made weren't end of shot clock 30 footers so I'm just not buying luck. They were in rhythm shots with no hands in their face. They got 2nd chance points and killed KU on the board. At no point did KU'S defense force Tennessee to run bad offense.

So what if Texas and Tennessee had one of their best shooting games against KU. They are ranked teams with rosters full of 4 star and 5 star talent. We shot our wad against West Virginia and TCU and haven't come close to the same offensive output in most other games.

KU's average games are not going to beat good teams. KU'S bad games get them blown out the gym. They used to win a majority of the former and would have a chance with the others.
Flawed team. Can't shoot. Two of its 3 guys taking high volume shots are horrible offensive players and really don't make the other 3 better around them. First year in forever guys are just not good enough

1 game according to Kenpom was a major swing. 4 & 5 spot movement.
