So... A key difference tonight... Not letting OSU get out in transition. This has been a focus since the OSU game. Weird it's almost like Bill is a good coach.

The sole focus of our offseason should be practicing finishing in the lane.

Yes and no, KU has still only lost 1 game in AFH so far this season so KU has still been been good at home this season.

The rotation has really really tightened. 25 minutes from the bench and it would have been less if CB didn’t get 3 fouls in the first half

That was a horribly officiated game IMO. Like very different calls on both sides of the court. 2 or 3 uncalled push offs on OSU and phantom ones on us.

Lots of no calls on obvious contact. Just really a poor job.

If KU has to postpone games due to Covid, it won't be because of the players, at least not at this point. Christmas break was big hurdle for the players to get past without Covid and they did. They're pretty much isolated in McCarthy and really only leave for team related activities. Their food is brought to them, they have online classes, and generally don't have any interactions with the student body right.

Any Covid outbreak within the program is going to come from the coaching staff or the support staff who aren't isolated in McCarthy and do have to interact with other people.

Covid postponements won't come from the players, it will come from either the coaches or support staff if anything happens because the players have sacrificed social lives during the season to minimize the risks of an outbreak.

A couple of rocket science observations - McCormack had a monster 2nd half. I'm obviously not going to knock his performance (nor his tendency to show up for only one half). I'm going to ease up on him, we've been losing of late and I've been wrongly been blaming him.

Braun is a very important player for this team. Even when not making shots (people guard him, know that he can knock them down), he always seems to be around the ball making something positive happen. I feel much better about our team after this win.

Would be nice to give UT a little bit of payback. And I'd love to see Marcus guard Butler 1v1 the majority of the game in the Baylor rematch. Garrett helped to force 7 turnovers from Cade last night and even though he got 26, it didn't FEEL like he got 26. He wasn't lighting us up.

Sounds about right. Can't lose any of the next 3. I think a winning streak going into the Tech game at home is winnable and Texas has hit a lull in play. Baylor looks like the only game we are likely to be overwhelmed.

Kansas St game has been rescheduled to Feb 17th giving the guys 2 extra days of rest..
