First road games of the year are always scary.

I sure hope Hunter brings his A game. Hunter has seemed to coast during several games. Maybe he is adopting Juan's attitude where Juan says he'll shoot/score if he feels the team needs him to score. I say shoot and score whenever you can; whenever the shot is there.

I'll take good rebounding and good defense and hope we make enough shots to control the game. We should, we are better then them but nothing comes easy on the road.

Indiana hasn’t impressed me to this point but you can bet after getting embarrassed by Auburn and with us coming to town. They’ll be ready to go this morning.

I looked at the stats, if Furphy played equal minutes to Hunter, Johnny would be 2nd by a couple boards on the year 2.4 per game at 36 minutes. That’s good for a guard. KJ is a terrible rebounder for a “post” player. McCullar should be better with his length and basketball IQ. Harris is used as a safety, maybe most are being used that way?

One and done trips are killer when the other team just keeps getting rebounds and shooting until it goes in. Sucks because rebounding is 90% effort.

These games are tough to watch — I don’t enjoy drifting behind opponents by double digits. But the comebacks are works of art and a sight to behold.

The only silver lining is that these experiences are super valuable later in the season and speak volumes for the heart of this team.

Juan's 12 pts seems about right to me. He's certainly enough of a threat to score that defenses can't just ignore him like Kentucky did. The bench only took 6 shots today, 6pts. If the bench and Jackson can't contribute more on offense, then Juan may have to shoot more than the 9 shots he put up today

I saw that too. To be fair to the bench though they barely got any minutes today. I'd still like Juan to shoot a little more.

Dang, I caught the first few minutes where we didn’t look so good, then had band practice all afternoon. wish I could have watched the comeback kids do their thing in the second half. But as usual… good guys win again!

Wow, what a great experience! Even had we lost I would have said the same thing. The people were friendly, some good natured teasing. Some realistic fans like this is a surprise to us, you'll probably come back.

We had seats about 4 rows from the top, strange arena with almost all the seats on the sidelines. Could see fairly well, but had to stand the whole game.

The crowd was really loud and engaged the whole time. Like really loud. Fun to experience.

After the game we were about to leave but I said I want to see in the gym once more and we noticed people hanging around and it looked like you could exit from ground court level so we went down there. CBS was still on air so I waved behind Spanarkle so I'm probably on the broadcast. (watching right now). And saw Hunter Dickinson so I said hi, told him I used to hate him when he was at Michigan because I'm also a Badger fan, but really glad he's one of us now, because where would we be without him? Saw a few other players milling about. Then said hi to Greg Gurley, he was cool.

Went outside and there was a bus and Jayhawk people hanging around, this is about 45 minutes after the game. Talked to a few fans, then Brian Hanni came out with Gurley and me and my KU roomate whom I went with were able to chat with both of them for about 5 minutes. We didn't know how long it would before the team would come out to the bus and had 3 hours back to Chicago so we got going.

They have horrible traffic management there and sat in a line 20 minutes making us wish we'd waited for the bus instead of sitting in miserable traffic.

Actual basketball observations. Kansas had 3 guys playing major minutes who'd played in a national championship basketball game. I think it showed in this game. They never panicked or got upset with the silly turnovers or missed bunnies.

There were a lot of strange calls both ways I thought. It almost seemed like the refs would make a call against one team that seemed strange and they'd make up for it by calling one the other way.

The bench just gave us 6 points and well that's not enough. Kevin's maturity showed as he got ticky tacked to foul trouble but played 38 minutes. I think he played the entire 2nd half, much of it with 4 fouls. Kevin also has shown a clutch knack knocking down 3's in crunch time. He may be the only guy who can do that, although DaJuan is making 45% of his 3's this year and hit some timely ones today.

Bill Self is the best and showed it today. Proud to have him as our coach.

Oh and Indiana fans boo a lot.

Woke up and still couldn't believe we won. I rewatched the last 11 minutes of the game this morning and I swear when Jamari came in at a little over 10:00 minutes the whole mindset of the team changed and his energy was a big factor. Hopefully he's earned more playing time. His 3 was HUGE.

Not sure if anyone else listened to Hunter , Kevin , & juan doing their postgame or not but I hope Kevin isn't coming down sick with the flu or possibly what KJ had last week. - - -During the whole post game Kevin just kept coughing,& Coughing- & coughing - - - -hope he isn't coming down with the flu

I had a great time. Indiana fans are always gracious and really know the ball. It was a great atmosphere even though the students' last day of classes was Friday. My spoiled son has been to Allen(2020 Senior Night), Rupp(last year), and now Assembly Hall.

Had kid sports this weekend and didnt get to watch the game until now. Was interested to see Timberlake play long minutes as the 2 and i guess elmarko was the 3 in the corner. Timberlake looked much more effective, was facilitating and active. Would like to see more of that.

Seems like this is the beginning of potentially seeing Dajuans minutes regulated if Elmarko and Timberlake can man the backcourt for short stretches

saw this posted somewhere else. KU fan didn't have good seats.

*We wound up underneath the friggin balcony overhang about 5 rows from top. Can't believe the arena is set up that way bcuz those seats suck. Couldn't see the top of the scoreboard, let alone the balcony on the other side.

To compensate, IU has hung smallish TVs on the underneath side of the balcony overhang so you can see the action better. Thing is, the camera for that TV is on the OTHER side of the floor. That means you're watching play go one direction on the actual floor and the other on the TV. Have never see anything like it.*
