you know, as I spend multiple ways of trying to use my time during the day I like to scroll through ummm - - YES other teams sites. Now I know I'm not the ONLY one that does this - -but Rupp's Rafters just kills me.

They post threads -- multiple threads about KU, now I know on " the shiver " and others that yes we also do the same about them, BUT I dunno it just seem to me as to the same degree. I mean SOME of these threads on there is almost to funny lol, and yet they talk about how OTHER teams - - fans are infatuiated with them. Some times I go there for the laugh. - - I feel they are paranoid. - -If THEY are so good why they worried about our threads, the same can be said for them. They say others are obsessed to which I say look in the mirror lol

Their latest episode today was talking about or titled " Hey Kansas " then goes on to make comments about - - see you soon- - -how Frank doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell = - -how they hay MR " Triple Double" - -the kid has had ONE game with a Triple Double, for GOD'S sakes. - - Now I'm not saying he isn't any good- - - -he is plenty good, but to say Frank doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell? - - Seriously?

They follow that up with the continued belly aching about the officals from last year- - how they got cooked and how we won't have that this year - - how they will pound us by 40 lmao I'm sorry yes it's trolling on my part - -BUT really I mean come on, I can understand logical banter back and forth BUT some of the statements they make - -holy shit. I need to et ahold of some of the stuff they are hitting the pipe with, I sure could use some to take this pain out of my back.

Just not logical statements - -saying they can't wit. -- but anyways makes for some amusing reading, again they talk about people being infatuiated , obsessed, with them - - ummm look at it from others side idiots -- talk about calling the kettle black lmao - - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Hey on a side note Lost my old profile decal on here somehow. Some explained a long time ago how I could put on up, can someone please help me as I don't really get off on my little decal being a purple dot - - thanks - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Nov 29, 2016 10:16 PM #3

@jayballer54 I saw the purple and was expecting you to start posting some stuff in Korean. How is the recovery coming along? Still rehabbing?

Nov 29, 2016 10:40 PM #4

@mayjay hey , no, no re-hab anymore BUT I dunno at times something just doesn't feel right. - - have some problems stepping up onto a step at times, knee feels weak. Then at times like I was just laying in the bed last night and it woke me up out of a dead sleep. Real shearing pain -- throbbing all around my knee cap and then in the outter side of my leg just below my kneecap, hurt like hell. For the most part ok I recekon, but a few times it like JUMPIN - - GEE -- HOSSIE - -FATS lo really hurts Ahh I'll be allright, thanks for asking appreciated. -- -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Nov 29, 2016 10:45 PM #5

@jayballer54 Sorry to hear that! Pain can be a warning. Or it can be the body still adjusting to all the indignities. Get it checked out. Don't want a minor problem to get bad! Good luck--I have been thinking about your recovery for months and hoping it was going well.

@jayballer54

You know I never could understand the love and respect UK gets for it's basketball program. I remember a couple years the words Roman Empire and UK basketball one being used one in the same. I get the east coast basis but this love relationship with UK goes beyond just Espn and the east coast mafia.

Even in this day and age of political correctness, UK basketball gets a free pass. Just last year the country and the BLM groups were in a fervor to remove the confederate flag and plaques associated with slavery and racism. Hello? UK was like the most racist college there was. Where's the blow back on them?

Lets not forget UK's history of cheating and giving the game a black eye. How many times have they flirted with receiving the death penalty?

I will say this about UK fans. They are as fanatical as any fan. They'll come in droves and out of the word work to watch their beloved Wildcats play. Their fans dominate NCAA sites when UK shows up.

Either way it's interesting what you find when your trolling. .

Nov 29, 2016 11:34 PM #10

Have to admit that I am a bit surprised that no UK "violation" talks have occurred yet under Coach Cal. What's the over under in years for an investigation into their program? LOL

Nov 29, 2016 11:56 PM #11

Nov 30, 2016 01:57 AM #20

@jayballer54 I was looking at Kentuckys non conference schedule so far. They havent played near as tough a schedule as KU has. Not even close! Sure they are blowing teams out by 50 points. They are all ranked out of the top 100 schools. Except Michigan St and UCLA. Everyone else, CUPCAKE!!

I think UCLA should kick their butts. I think we could be them in their own house too. Kentucky has not faced a team as good as KU and likely will not even when they get to their conference schedule. Patty cake, the SEC is weak as F%$#

@BShark no not really, they are talking about the re-hab on my knee, that I had surgery on awhile back -- -having some issues they just showing some conern and thoughts for me - - not re-habbing they are done with that BUT my knee woke me up out of a dead sleep last night - -felt like someone was driving a knife into my knee cap and then throbbing really bad down the outside part just below my knee cap - - like has been said I'm just going to have to call and get it check - -AGAIN if it keeps it up -- - thanks for the thoughts my friends - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@BShark 2 knee surgeries

Nov 30, 2016 12:03 PM #25

@Lulufulu

The UCLA match-up should be a good game, fast pace but its in Rupp. I think Cal is 124-4 at Rupp. Unlikely they lose at home where the whistle will be in their favor. UCLA will have to match guard play and if they are smart will zone Kentucky to force outside shots. Ball vs Fox- exciting to see 2 future NBA PG's go at it. It should be a fairly close game if UCLA comes to play on the road

Nov 30, 2016 01:47 PM #26

@jayballer54

Let the chip building begin. We need our guys psyched when they go into Rupp.... because it is a tough place to win.

And the strange factor is having this game smack down in the middle of Big 12 season. I don't get that. How do we put everything into a game that is just window dressing and something for pollsters while we are entrenched in winning #13?

Anything is possible in that game in Lexington. It may just boil down to who has the hot hand.

I'd like to see our defense turn on the pressure and get lots of steals. That would truly be an avenue for "stealing one" in Rupp.

Dec 01, 2016 12:37 PM #27

@BShark Jayball's had a surgery on his knee, I believe. My nurse brain just kicks in when people talk about medical stuff here and I feel it is my duty as an RN to give people feed back on things related.

Dec 01, 2016 12:39 PM #28

@jayballer54 Oh man, if your having pains like that bad, absolutely call your DR!! If your PT exercises are causing you pain, dont do them until your Doc says you can. But seriously, go get checked again my man. Increased pain post surgery is not really a good thing.
Best wishes and good luck dude.

Dec 01, 2016 12:42 PM #29

@BeddieKU23 UCLA imo is by far the best opponent Kentucky has faced all season. Michigan St is a shadow of their former selves from last year. All the other teams have been major cupcakes. UCLA may not win in RUPP, I agree about the tough environment there, BUT if UCLA can keep the game close, I like their chances at a win.
On the same note, I like KU's chances at winning at RUPP too. Kentucky wont face a team as good as KU until late into March. The SEC is so weak and their non conference schedule has been pathetic.

Dec 01, 2016 01:23 PM #30

@Lulufulu

I agree this is definitely the toughest game for Kentucky so far this season. UCLA will need to rebound the ball. limit transition and get some production other than Leaf from the post. The freshman post they just got back could be a key guy as he can offer some rim protection. If UCLA plays M2M defense, honestly they are up against it, Kentucky has 1 perimeter threat and I feel this is the first team with talent that could exploit their weak 3 point shooting. I don't think UK has earned the #1 spot but if they beat UCLA that will validate them

Kentucky also plays UNC & Louisville before KU comes in January. Both of those games should be stellar, wouldn't mind seeing them lose both:sunglasses:

Dec 01, 2016 01:51 PM #31

@BeddieKU23 You do have to respect Cal's willingness to play a heck of a lot of tough nonconference games. He gives his fans an exciting product (despite whatever else we can say about him).

Dec 01, 2016 02:05 PM #32

@mayjay

Definitely he's consistently playing UNC, Louisville & the Champions Classic. As long as the SEC/Big-12 goes on it seems like KU/UK will play every year.

Dec 01, 2016 04:24 PM #33

@BeddieKU23

Yeah the conferences would be super dumb to not have the KU/UK match-up be annual.

Dec 01, 2016 04:48 PM #34

@BShark

I wonder what they will do next year when KU has to play UK in the Champions Classic. Can we really play them twice? Florida or A&M would be the next choices I would assume but neither of them would bring the Challenge star power like KU/UK does..

Dec 01, 2016 04:58 PM #35

@BeddieKU23 Hmmmm, you bring up a good question? - - I don't think they would have us match up twice in the regular season - - - do you? - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Dec 01, 2016 05:03 PM #36

@jayballer54 Why wouldn't they? Imagine the TV ratings of game 2 if game 1 was an OT classic or something like that. I could see it happening. I hope it does actually.

But you guys are probably right, they won't do that. It could make for some damn good basketball though.

Dec 01, 2016 05:10 PM #37

@Kcmatt7

You made a compelling argument for why they should do it.

Dec 01, 2016 05:10 PM #38

@BeddieKU23

Good point I didn't think about this. Probably Florida.

Dec 01, 2016 05:35 PM #39

Kentucky is in a lot of our heads. Same with Duke. Me personally, I wouldn't spend a second reading the Kentucky versions of our KUBuckets.

In 1986 KU played fellow final four team Louisville two times in the regular season.

Dec 02, 2016 06:30 PM #40

I would not be at all surprised if KU and South Carolina would play in the Kentucky "Double?" year. Frank Martin has really taken this program to a new level, is very anxious to up his SOS after last year's tourney snub, and it would be a great renewal of the old coaching rivalry..

Dec 02, 2016 07:13 PM #41

@mayjay I love Frank Martin! He gave to trobs sisters fund.

Dec 02, 2016 08:26 PM #42

@Crimsonorblue22 Frank Martin seems like a great guy off of the court. He is tough and verbal with his players, but he seems like the type of guy you can tell isn't yelling at the person, he is yelling at the player. If that makes sense?

Like it is nothing personal with him. He loves his players. But when they are on the court it is 110% - 110% of the time.

I can't believe KState let him go. Huge mistake. South Carolina got a great coach. And he is only 50. So he could be around for quite some time. Which is good. Glad to see someone besides Kentucky running an actual program.

Dec 02, 2016 08:27 PM #43

@Kcmatt7 my boys would play for him or knight!

Dec 02, 2016 08:59 PM #44

@Kcmatt7

I have a lot of respect for Frank Martin. Even when his on court demeanor would indicate otherwise, he is one classy individual.

Dec 02, 2016 09:39 PM #45

@wissox not a even a nano-second...

Dec 02, 2016 11:12 PM #46

@Kcmatt7

No doubt about it Bruce was a major downgrade.

Dec 02, 2016 11:18 PM #47

@BShark

But there is a case to be made that the head hair from Martin to Weber was a sideways move for KSU.

Dec 03, 2016 02:30 PM #48

@DoubleDD UK is the "groomed and accepted villain" in the heirarchy of the east coast media marketing machine. Colorful coach. Colorful history. Top recruits. Always contending. Put Louisville in that same group--colorful coach. Usually contending.

What am I saying? You cant just have Duke play UNC over and over again. Need interesting 'enemies' for the ACC. KU and UCLA would be other interesting 'competitors' sitting just outside the inner circle fence..., as is Tom Izzo and MichSt...

Dec 03, 2016 02:33 PM #49

@hawkmoon2020 At KY, Calipari doesnt have to recruit dirty, like he did with Rose at Memphis. The Enos Kanter thing was quickly exposed, and he was deemed ineligible. Calipari truly does have his pick from the top 15. Now, his concept and playstyle are proven. His path to the NBA is proven. A true OAD/2AD factory. No worries though.

Dec 03, 2016 02:40 PM #50

Tucky is going to curb stomp the UCLANS, imo. I want the media to anoint Tucky as all that and a bag of chips, so when our guards lay waste to their freshmen guards in Rupp, they'll have a litter of kittens.

Complete garbage. They just don't have the athletes 1 through 5 to be much better either. Too many weak links. Ball and Leaf are NBA players though.

Dec 03, 2016 06:41 PM #130

you can hear the crickets in the Kohl Center right now. hard to believe I'm watching the same team that was dominate against Cuse the other night

Dec 03, 2016 06:41 PM #131

I think the CBS feed made it sound like it was halftime

Syracuse is kind of garbage, which pleases me.

Dec 03, 2016 06:44 PM #133

Happ has POY potential as a Jr/Sr. He's got post moves for days

Dec 03, 2016 06:45 PM #134

The epitome of a Wiscy player. Fringe top 150 lanky combo forward that developed.

Dec 03, 2016 06:49 PM #139

UCLA up a quick 9. Don't worry Cal's got another bag for the refs coming

Dec 03, 2016 06:50 PM #140

@HawkChamp this is example 1 why i should just stick to picking ku games.

Dec 03, 2016 06:50 PM #141

@BShark

yupp plus he's white so its not like he has a ceiling in the NBA

Dec 03, 2016 06:51 PM #142

@BeddieKU23

Would be ecstatic if Mitch developed in a similar fashion. A shame he couldn't RS this year but we are too thin.

Dec 03, 2016 06:52 PM #143

Leaf is a badass OG

Dec 03, 2016 06:52 PM #144

I see just enough things that make me think he will be a very nice cog in his JR and SR seasons, RS or not. Will be interesting to see if KU ends up with more post players to allow Mitch to RS next season.

Dec 03, 2016 06:59 PM #157

Regardless of this game, UCLA is definitely a title contender this year

Dec 03, 2016 06:59 PM #158

ucla really does optionally decide to play defense

Dec 03, 2016 07:00 PM #159

TJ LEAF GANGSTA

Dec 03, 2016 07:00 PM #160

This really is the first team with a pulse that UK has played (sorry MSU...)

Dec 03, 2016 07:02 PM #161

that didn't take long for UCLA to blow that lead

Dec 03, 2016 07:03 PM #162

@BeddieKU23

This game is n-v-t-s nuts.

Dec 03, 2016 07:03 PM #163

Kentucky would be down 15 or more if not for being at home. Different team when playing in the half court

Dec 03, 2016 07:06 PM #174

@wissox

no missed it, to busy watching UK's fanbase further put themselves where no other can go

so another flop?

Dec 03, 2016 07:09 PM #181

Dec 03, 2016 07:10 PM #182

@kjayhawks

UCLA does a good job of stopping UCLA sometimes.

Dec 03, 2016 07:11 PM #183

DYING at Willis trying to guard Ball

Dec 03, 2016 07:12 PM #184

@BeddieKU23 He and Happ had their hand on a ball, but Lattins arm pinned down Happs and he wouldn't let go so Happ gave a little shove to get free and Lattin threw his arms up like he'd been hit by William Perry.

Dec 03, 2016 07:12 PM #185

gonna turn into a FT contest here

Dec 03, 2016 07:13 PM #186

@wissox

Sounds like Marcus Smart.

Dec 03, 2016 07:14 PM #187

Oh man Leaf is special.

Dec 03, 2016 07:14 PM #188

UCLA reminds me of Wisconsin from a couple years ago. So smart offensively

Dec 03, 2016 07:16 PM #189

Wow UCLA gets slapped in the mouth no foul and a tap leads to UK FTs

Dec 03, 2016 07:16 PM #190

@kjayhawks

Refs favouring UCLA tho!

Dec 03, 2016 07:18 PM #191

Too quick of a shot from Fox. Also UCLA needs to stop feeding this dork that keeps getting stuffed.

Dec 03, 2016 07:19 PM #192

UCLA has to start moving the ball again, playing not to lose, not playing to win.

Dec 03, 2016 07:20 PM #193

TJ Leaf without a doubt the best player on this floor? I vote yes.

Dec 03, 2016 07:22 PM #194

Dec 03, 2016 07:23 PM #195

got to guard Monk!!

Dec 03, 2016 07:23 PM #196

ONe ref just called a charge on OU, the other called a block on UW. They charged both players with a foul and alternated possession. Never seen that before. Pretty obvious charge to me of course.

Dec 03, 2016 07:23 PM #197

Dec 03, 2016 07:24 PM #198

@wissox

I have seen that a couple times this year, it's crap.

Dec 03, 2016 07:26 PM #201

UCLA should have ran more clock there!

Dec 03, 2016 07:26 PM #202

How is that a foul guy has inside position and you jump on his back and he is called. The only reason its a contest is UK is getting every call.

Dec 03, 2016 07:27 PM #203

@BShark Agreed, been running clock the last 5 minutes and then take a off balanced silly shot off of an offensive rebound lol

Dec 03, 2016 07:30 PM #204

UCLA looks really good. They may not hold on....but Kentucky has the better athletes that will ultimately be really good players. But Ball and Leaf are really good....and the others are good. They execute really well. They are the better team on a neutral court at this point.
Remember the UNCA coach ranked the teams they had played as.....UCLA, NC, WSU, and Louisville. For whatever that's worth.

Dec 03, 2016 07:30 PM #205

Terrible D by UK last poss

Dec 03, 2016 07:35 PM #215

Dec 03, 2016 07:36 PM #216

@BShark lol

Dec 03, 2016 07:36 PM #217

UCLA's Kenpom schedule strength of 275 might be why they're ranked #1?

Dec 03, 2016 07:37 PM #218

@wissox I mean Kentucky's ken pom SOS

Dec 03, 2016 07:37 PM #219

Dec 03, 2016 07:39 PM #225

LOL at UK still fouling. Game is over dorks.

Dec 03, 2016 07:39 PM #226

@wissox yep. They fattened up on cupcakes and got away with just running every game and didn't have to play in the half court. Kentucky has a hard time scoring in the half court and UCLA didn't allow them to run.

Dec 03, 2016 07:39 PM #227

@kjayhawks

yupp agreed

Dec 03, 2016 07:40 PM #228

@HawkChamp Haha that's great, I just died and my 17 month old just looks at me like I'm gifted.

Dec 03, 2016 07:40 PM #229

well this will put the UK being #1 into perspective. gave everyone in that program false sense of what they were. Still a good team but lots of flaws that can be exploited by a team like UCLA that made shots

Dec 03, 2016 07:41 PM #230

Badgers by 17. This is starting to look like OU-Nova!

Dec 03, 2016 07:42 PM #231

@wissox

I hope OU plays like crap all year. Or, until Trae commits at least.

Kansas is a paper tiger & has been ever since the Great Toupee arrived in Low Rents. I don't think they are top 10 this year, last year, the year before that, etc. They R consistently in the 12 - 18 range probably. The big 12 championship streak is a joke. It is fake. In every big 12 game the opposing team gets treated just like MSU did at Duke the other night. Big 12 "Officials" are afraid to make calls against KU. I don't know why, but is is good for atleast 3 wins a year in conference play. For the most part, that changes in the tournament evidenced by the multitude of upsets & lack of living up to their annual overseed. Chickenhawk players seldom make any impact professionally, which further fortifies my point that the KU program is not elite & does not deserve, in any way, to be included in the discussion of NCAA championship contenders in this year or any other.

Dec 03, 2016 08:04 PM #255

@BShark

Definitely I enjoyed seeing them lose but that takes a special type of person to write that kind of stuff. and in special I don't mean in a nice way

Dec 03, 2016 08:05 PM #256

@BeddieKU23

In the way that Florida's (football) offense is special, not Bama's defense.

Dec 03, 2016 08:05 PM #257

@BeddieKU23 YES!!! I knew they'd REALLY have a tough time with UCLA. Its ok tho cuz KU bout to beat them on their home court next month. SEC is not as tough as Big 12 and UK had an easy peasy lemon sqeezy schedule, and UK is full of frosh and sophs

Dec 03, 2016 08:07 PM #258

@Lulufulu

If UK plays like they did today it will be surprising if KU doesn't pull out a W but UCLA also got a lot of solid post play from Leaf/Welsch/Big Ike that KU simply doesn't have right now.

The atmosphere for that game will also be completely different. It's a toss up game especially in Rupp.

Dec 03, 2016 08:08 PM #259

FSU boards are so torn on Jimbo.

Dec 03, 2016 08:13 PM #261

@BShark

It's more Charles Kelly the defensive coordinator then anything. He should have been fired after the UNC game but he found a way to improve the D the last 6 games. Jimbo is a loyal guy- sometimes too loyal. The LSU rumors don't help either and I'm glad they are over with.

It's like any fan-base though we expected to be championship material and after the Louisville beatdown that was gone. Next year we open with Alabama so I get why fans are already thinking next year is "doomed". Kelly is not a good coach against Tempo, actually he's probably one of the worst.

Dec 03, 2016 08:16 PM #262

They aren't torn on him, they want Kelly gone, yesterday. :joy:

Dec 03, 2016 08:19 PM #263

@BShark

can't blame them there were some plays earlier this year that the defense was no even lined up when the play occurred. there is no denying he's turned it around as the team has gotten healthy and young guys have stepped up. He had to abandon zone defense schemes to get it. Some knowledgeable fans have pointed out its defense you teach in High School
