Game chat y'all, expect a good game

I don't think that football game that is on is going to be over in time for the start of our game.........we could miss a fair amount.

of course a football game would take more time, i'm sure it will be on another like ESPN news

@Hawk8086 Because ESPN doesn't know how long football and basketball games last we keep having this problem.

at least the first 10 minutes will be on another espn network unless they delay

Mason has missed a whole bunch of shots he's made this year and the 3 point shooting has been terrible.. if 3's go in and we guard the screen and big play we will be fine

UNC/UK may be frontrunner for game of the year so far. UK is going to be hard to beat at Rupp next month.

@Texas-Hawk-10 right now, no one should be expecting that game to be close. Too often our guys space out on defense, miss layups or wide open shots and commit bonehead turnovers. Those things should not be happening with a veteran group.

We have done a good job on Gibbs but the big guys shooting three's are killing us.

The defense this team plays maybe the worst since self has been here.

Davidson has shot out their mind from 3 and it won't hold up but KU has to keep Jackson and Doke on the floor as well as Graham otherwise this will keep close

Davidson getting away with to easy of a game. Time for KU to rough them up.

Team knew Davidson can shoot the 3 so why are they leaving the shooters open? We can't miss the bunnies. Too many missed ones. Who is going to lead us in 2nd half? Frank can't think only he can. He needs to share the ball.

Anybody notice that after a made Davidson basket if they can they will bump into the ball. Bouncing it back up the court.

It's a long season Kids have ups and downs. As long as they pull it together. All is well. KU wins coach gets a chance to rip his guys in practice.

But to expand here, KU had a horrible stretch of play but a normal game from Davidson means 9-12 less points. Probably good for this team though, they could use a challenge.

Aldridge is the only player keeping Davidson in this game.

Who would believe we shot 70% FTs to Davidson's 60%. They were supposed to be the much better FT shooting team. I guess that's why you still have to play the game. RCJH

A few post game observations...

Who invited Mr. Fool's Gold to this game? Kudos to whoever kicked him out at half time.

I know the program runs a big surplus...why can it use some of this money and pay the refs like everybody seems to be doing so KU does not get screwed? Zenger needs to make sure the checks clear on time instead of trying to figure out new ways to black out games for Jayhawk fans.

I wonder how Missurians feel watching the premier arena in the State sporting a gigantic Jayhawk in the center of the court and a full house...do they even have a floor with a tiger or is that too much to ask for a team that will only draft a couple of thousand fans?

@globaljaybird I have come to realize that this team will only play defense - championship defense - when they need to. Remember the Siena game a month ago? Turned a five point game into a twenty point blowout in a couple minutes. Frustrating to watch, but I am waiting when they decide to play for forty minutes at Rupp.

@HawkChamp I'm OK with Frank burning some extra rubber against KY to nullify Fox. Jackson Svi Devonte and Vick will want it bad enough from there.

Can confirm! Also lots of snow on the ground last I looked.

When I was driving Friday I saw an elderly black man slip and fall. Immediately stopped and made sure he was okay. Nothing broken at least and he was able to dust it off and walk on. It was scary to see though.

We wore them down. Their second half was a disaster caused mostly by our defense stepping up. But all that KU energy caught up with the Mildcats. After a while you could see their spirit leave. They didn't give up, but they definitely backed down. Trey shots really looked bad that second half, too.

Our pace got to them. Pushing pace can take a toll on good trey shooting teams that aren't used to the fast pace.

Davidson is a solid team and they are going to make some noise this year. Glad to see them bringing in good talent again... proof they are more than just the ghost of Steph Curry.
