I heard on the radio the Trae Missed 39 shots in the last two games. This makes OU sound like one of those mid-majors that has the D1 scoring leader that can't do anything else. Similar to when we played Detroit in a first round game. I think these last two games has given Bill an accurate game plan for tomorrow night.

@wrwlumpy He went 14/39 @ OSU and 8/21 @ KSU. I like our chances if he turns it over as bad as he did in those 2 games, 12 against KSU and 8 against OSU. Hes probably gonna get his points because he’s gonna shoot it so much. But in their losses he averages a high number of turnovers. A rare mistake on your good scouting, the games @ 6.

I think if most of us are honest we have had this one as well as the one at WVU circled as our most likely Ls in conference. I'm hesitant to change my mind. OU losing back to backs doesn't help in my opinion. Yeah we've seen some of how to boggle the young gun's mind but so have they. Adjustments will be made, OU won't want to drop 3 in a row, and the Jayhawks play better with people doubting them. For these reasons, I say OU by 8 tonight!

@benshawks08 I get what you're saying, and yet this squad keeps finding ways to win on the road. I'm going with one of the good guys steps up with a surprisingly great game tonight and, after many lead changes and much yelling at the tv and handwringing, KU by 2.

Vegas says OU by 2. I say KU grinds it out and wins a mid 80s game by 3.

Well seeing a how we haven't won any of our big 12 games by more then 6 and that was Texas - seeing as OU has Trae and OU has played like crap - -I still think we win this game I'll agree might be a higher scoring game - -I'll say KU -89-84. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@Crimsonorblue22 that's why playing smart is so important. Oklahoma went on this run when Dok went out. He has to play smart and not try to block every shot. That's playing stupid, not smart. Could cost us this game. They aren't better than us.

@BShark Was just about to post the same thing. When they were up by 10 I was criticizing Self for not taking the risk and putting Doke back in.....that's why he is the coach and I'm not. I'll take it.

Malik has really found his game lately.

Malik has been good. Need Devonte to make smart decisions, Svi and Malik to continue to drive the ball and Dok to stay on the floor. OU doesn't have an answer for him and only went on that run when he was on the bench.

Self blew it. Three straight times were three turnovers. Kept Oklahoma in it. Self was an idiot.

OU told the referees they would be taking fouls against Doke. That's why the officials were watching him so closely. Making sure things don't get out of hand.

This is on Self. He allowed Kruger to make him play 4 on 5. You can't just put Doke in the corner there. You have to take him out. You can't let him be the goat there.

My wife started telling me to calm down at the 3:30 minute mark when Ubrika was still in the game. Bill lost this one.

I can't remember a time when I questioned Bill Self like this. He's the guy who has a 80% winning percentage and is in the HOF. I drink beer on my couch. But what the fuck just happened? We were in control until Doke was getting fouled and we did nothing. Am I missing something? This one hurts.

I think there is a method to the madness of leaving Doke in. Coach Self is sending a Doke a message...I am going to leave you in so you better start hitting FTs like you do in practice. What else can it be?

But what does this do to Doke as far as confidence? He knows OU's whole strategy was to foul and see if he missed. That could wreck his confidence long term from the FT line.

Bill blew it. Better he learn from it now than in a couple of months. Maybe he sacrificed a game after a surprise win at WVU.

It wasn't even like Mitch was playing poorly, so I'm extremely confused. I'll buy the Bill was sending a message line just to make myself feel better.

KU is still ahead of the league. This game means nothing if Doke goes back to the dorms and works on his FT's non stop until March.

That was an elite eight style choke by Self. No doubt we are the better team but the score won't show it.

We need Doke to hit those period! The refs should have been calling those off the ball fouls the whole game though. That was pretty obvious and IF you go back and watch the tape during that OU run one of the refs was ALL EYES ON DOKE... That is called cheating if they weren't calling it that way the entire game. Had they been calling that all night OU's bigs would have all fouled out! Hopefully Self learned something tonight. Not only can you not pass it to Doke in the final minutes he cant contend for floor space either without getting a call that is basically a turnover on the road!

If all OU could do was foul a poor FT shooter, they are pretty desperate. This won't work in most games. We all knew Doke's FTs were/are a huge risk, and teams are going to use the same strategy in games going forward. Self and Doke just sucked it up to grind through the game. Kruger will have the same game plan in the Phog.

There is zero chance he hits any more fts percentage wise in practice. Zero. He has absolutely no mechanics whatsoever. The ball never hits the same place twice. This is not the shot of an individual that works frequently on that shot. Simply no

When a team is taking off ball fouls, they will usually inform the officiating crew that they will be fouling away from the ball. This is to prevent injuries so guys don't have to be overly physical to draw the whistle. Ultimately, that keeps a guy from getting beaten up or possibly hurt. That's why the officials were watching Doke and Freeman - the officials had already been told fouls were coming.

@cragarhawk or someone who has received any sort of instruction. Simply pathetic for a program to not teach any sort of basic mechanics. Unacceptable

Simply can't have Doke in at the end of close games. 6 straight missed FTs and not one was close. Plus, the offensive after we were down 2 had Doke in the corner - what the f*** is the point of that - no reason to have him in the game if they can defend 5 on 4. The last 4 minutes, we didn't come close to have a good offensive possession - only score was a put back. Really solid 35+ minutes just wasted in the last 4-5 minutes....
