My computer has told me that I do not have the privledge level to download and post KU action photos. Until I figure this out, would some of you post action photos of our previous game with the Sooners and also some of your favorite moments of Sherron Collins as our halftime Honoree tonight.

@wrwlumpy Biggest upset of the year!

Feb 19, 2018 05:00 PM #3

Looking at the Big 12 stat sheet which I am unable to post, KU is in the middle and towards the bottom of many of the important stats. My question is, how are we in first place? Is it just Bill Self?

@wrwlumpy We win ugly. We conserve energy. We have the number 1 SOS in RPI, so we're always playing tough teams. The games come down to a possession or two unless the opposing coach has a conniption fit, and gets tossed. These are guesses - I have no idea how we have played so badly at times, and are at 10-4. I have no idea why we're being considered a 1 seed by the two most prominent bracket guys in the country. This has to be one of the most oddball teams we've ever had.

Feb 19, 2018 09:45 PM #11

@KUSTEVE indeed. I think the lack of consistency is the most frustrating part. Sometimes they play tough, defend and rebound well and play somewhat smart, then we see clunker games like Arizona State and Washington where they don't look like they care that much. This week would be an ideal time to string together two good games in a row.

I think Svi just asked Holly for something to eat, and from the look on her face, the position of the hand doesn't look to favorable for Svi. Walk away from the table Svi, walk away.

Yet another potential KU Revenge Bracket after the 1 vs 16 game!

Feb 20, 2018 01:32 AM #21

Ya, I wondered when I heard Trae say this. " I'm being guarded like nobody else in the Nation now I've forgot the other part" - -when I heard this I thought what? - that just didn't sound right

Now Jay Williams & Seth Greenberg both have brought it up. -Jay said as a player you may thin things-- -BUT things you don't say. Seth pretty much repeated as much the same thing - - saying there is just like a protocol - things not said.

Again when I heard this the other day I thought then something just didn't sound right when he said that - thought maybe just me - but then they brought this up right off the bat tonight.

It almost came off as like some spoiled little kid pouting - like saying why - why are you playing against me like this. - Seth said Trae has to realize this is just the way it is - -and he isn't playing AAU ball and he is playing against some of the best in the Nation. - Just some strange words I thought. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Feb 20, 2018 01:54 AM #22

@jayballer73 I hope we cover him like a glove all day long, baby!

Feb 20, 2018 02:03 AM #23

I turned it on expecting there to be 12 minutes left in the earlier game.

Feb 20, 2018 02:03 AM #24

Instead, I was treated to the Trae Young excuse fest

Feb 20, 2018 02:11 AM #25

Trae: I'm getting guarded like nobody else in the country.

That's because nobody plays like you and that's not necessarily a compliment.

Feb 20, 2018 02:16 AM #27

Dang the okies are icy cold. Sure hope they stay that way. Would love to hang a nasty record setting loss on em tonight

Feb 20, 2018 02:19 AM #28

Feb 20, 2018 02:29 AM #31

Even though Garrett missed that lay up, I love seeing him play more aggressively on offense.

Feb 20, 2018 02:34 AM #32

Dok with more silly fouls.

Feb 20, 2018 02:39 AM #33

Desousa in and Graham out, don't see that every day

Feb 20, 2018 02:47 AM #37

Lol, a little non call payback, as defender jumps, falls on desousa as desousa collapse under the weight, he's called for traveling. Uh yea.

Feb 20, 2018 02:50 AM #38

Nice to see DeSousa get some extended minutes with this lead.

Feb 20, 2018 02:54 AM #39

@Texas-Hawk-10 yes but no Dok really hurts us. Seems like he is automatic for two fouls every first half.

Feb 20, 2018 02:56 AM #40

Texas Hawk 10 said:

Playing fairly well too.

Feb 20, 2018 03:03 AM #41

Most points by the 'Hawks in a B12 half this year, but how come I feel nervous about just a 10 point lead? We shoot 60% from the field, better than 50% from 3 (9 makes) and outrebound OU by 8. With those stats, we should be up 20. Not a good last 3 or 4 minutes, esp. with transition defense (or lack thereof).

Feb 20, 2018 03:03 AM #42

The first four minutes of the second half will tell us a lot. OU is still very much in this. No coasting.

Feb 20, 2018 03:04 AM #43

The biggest problem for KU in the first half besides Doke on the bench was 9 turnovers. That's a lot considering OU barely plays defense.

Feb 20, 2018 03:05 AM #44

Graham also got some rest. This game is crazy.

Feb 20, 2018 03:09 AM #45

It's a given that KU will get more fouls called this game after the 35 FTs we got against WVA.

Feb 20, 2018 03:10 AM #46

Power failure in a Olathe. Thank God for hotspot and iPad.

Feb 20, 2018 03:12 AM #47

That should've been a no call. Doke did nothing but stand still.

Feb 20, 2018 03:16 AM #48

@Texas-Hawk-10 True, but he also didn't put much effort to tie up the ball when it was on the floor...

Feb 20, 2018 03:18 AM #49

They are getting all of their points right at the rim...

Feb 20, 2018 03:19 AM #50

@DCHawker Because he didn't want his 3rd foul which would've likely happened had he gone to the floor.

It looks like it's starting to click for him. DeSousa becoming a legit option would be huge for KU going forward into March.

Feb 20, 2018 03:32 AM #64

@Texas-Hawk-10 Could not agree more. Even if he just becomes reliable for 7-10 minutes a night that would be HUGE.

Feb 20, 2018 03:46 AM #78

I've tried to follow Romeo's recruiting news. The latest is most think IU is out. I thought that a LONG time ago. They are just now realizing that if he was going to choose IU, he would have done so. I agree. He's not going to IU.

Now it's down to Vandy and KU. He wants to play for good players. Well, Vandy has two good frosh players coming in and that's good, but they aren't proven and neither is their coach...Drew? At any rate, Romeo wants to WIN championships. I don't understand why the "experts" were so hell bent on him going to IU and Vandy. The kid will come in and play with Dotson, Grimes, Garrett, DeSousa, and Big Dave. We have a HOF coach, and we are right behind our 14th consecutive conference championship.

Now, will someone tell me, please...why would he go to Vandy?

This is exactly what I was talking about a few weeks ago inserting Vick and Newman back into the line up.Swinging the ball side to side, not caring about about who’s shooting the ball. 5 guys operating as a unit, BEAUTIFUL.
