KU is up 24-18 in rebounds against Duke, that's keeping it close, cutting out turnovers and we're up 5-6 points right now.

The trough theory is made up. We could just as easily shoot 7-14 in the 2nd half and end up shooting 40% and still lose this game.

Self very clearly determined he isn't letting Bagley win this game. Both of his makes are on oboards.

Execution is everything at this level. Really bad half for KU and -3 is going to be very tough to dig out of when Duke makes shots

Graham isn't the issue. Vick is the main issue on offense. If we keep trying to run offense through him this is ending in a loss. Self is being stubborn again and it's going to bite him.

Cut down the TOs, get some 3s to drop and this game is ours.

Everything Self schemed worked but our guys were not recognizing the obvious because duke kept shifting zones. It’s the best multiple defens I ever recall

Yet somehow we are only down 3 and could just as easily be up. Selfs gameplan has been better than Ks. I think we look better than them right now.

If they keep that zone, I don't know who you put in those inside corners. Vick isn't ready to be the man. Like Washington, who dared Vick to win the game for us. He scored 28, but we lost the game. Svi is an interesting idea, but he needs to be on the outside.

@Kcmatt7 Kansas shoots 52% against zones so they are down 24% from their average actually. i refer to a trough as a valley in performance based on this 1/2 if basketball only. hopefully they can get it up to 42-44% by the end of the game.

And I saw one of Self’s old 3-2 junk zones one possessions.

Duke missed 1 fewer shot than KU, we're legitimately outrebounding them so far.

Not impressed with Bagley he was largely neutralized by Svi who is much smaller and Doke punked him a few times and his outside shot was AWOL. He can dominate smaller college players but he will have problems with the bigger NBA bodies.

Svi had his best game as a Jayhawk tonight IMO. The job he did guarding Bagley tonight was incredible. And he had a double-double as well the tying 3 to send the game to OT. Malik was great tonight, but Svi was the MVP of this game.

I forgot about that.....when Tripper's shot at the end of regulation rolled round to the back of the iron...I thought it was in and we had lost. Game of inches....and we were due to get a break!

I’ve never been so proud of a team. 7 man rotation. Bill bringing Silvio on at semester will go down as the greatest recruiting move he ever made. Hope Ayton and Sexton enjoy the cash they took.

4 Duke players played a combined 176 minutes and 198 for all 5 starters, 4 KU players played 172 minutes, 191 for all 5 starters. Doke and Carter limited to 22 and 19 minutes due to foul trouble. Our bench outscored Duke 8-6. Iron man basketball for both teams.

When the refs took Allen to the woodshed for his tripping, his defense went to hell. I saw him get his ass handed to him four different times tonight and I may have missed some more. Was so glad to see KU put an end to his BS atitude.

Benton Smith said we eeked out a victtory today. Call it what you want,the guys worked their butts off and deserved the win!
