- Kansas Jayhawks
Key Losses: Devonte Graham, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Malik Newman, Sam Cunliffe, Clay Young
Key Additions: Devon Dotson, Quentin Grimes, David McCormack, Dedric Lawson, K.J. Lawson, Charlie Moore, Ochai Agbaji
The Jayhawks lose a Final Four MOP and Big 12 POY, Midwest Regional MOP, and a tenacious 6'5" dude with a 3" vertical who completely shut down a 7'1" Syracuse big for 21 minutes and was instrumental in proving Self's system, when followed, will work during a stressful time in December. They also lose Sam Cunliffe who came in with high aspirations but requested his release to seek a new adventure elsewhere in search of more playing time. Jayhawks will potentially lose "Mr. November...take off 3 months...and show back up in March" and bmensch1's favorite player, Lagerald Vick to the NBA....but....
The Jayhawks add 3 standout, best in the class, Mcdonald's all american freshman, a legitimate NBA class stud in 6'9" Dedric Lawson who averaged 19.2ppg and 9.9rpg at Memphis, his brother KJ Lawson who averaged 12.3ppg and 8.1rpg at Memphis, and Charlie Moore who averaged 12.2ppg and 3.5apg at California. The 3 transfers, Sam Cunliffe, and Clay Young proved to be a standout team that beat the 2017-18 Final Four KU starters on a regular basis in practice games per reports.
The only plans the Jayhawk faithful should make on April 8, 2019 is either a trip to Minneapolis, MN or party planning for an 11:37 EST party to celebrate back to back National championships.
2-337. Who Cares...4,368 kids just wasted their time playing for second place. Well there are the 26 kids who will live their championship moments with an NIT and CBI victory parade.
