@BeddieKU23 Ridiculous. Good play, couldn't execute.
JFC Dave
Meh, I'm fine with an offbalance long 2
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Surprise (Nevada) Game Thread:
I mean, Zach and KJ are available, right?
Theoretically
Three posts in a row saying the same thing, heh.
@RockChalkinTexas said in Surprise (Nevada) Game Thread:
Stagnant
Definitely. Bill still hasn't figured out bench combinations that work. Starting line-up is excellent at least.
Damn
Way too much Jalen Mitch combo, for reference. Extra struggle because Harris is in with them. 3 non-scorers...
Bill Self loves line-ups that can't score.
2nd made three of the year for a Nevada player? Clockwork
Early JCL sighting :eyes:
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Surprise (Nevada) Game Thread:
Wilson has a chance to make our offense more dynamic, but Jalen needs to play defense too
On one hand yes, on the other hand he can't go left which limits the offense.
Love that from Dajuan. Gotta make them respect you.
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Surprise (Nevada) Game Thread:
I appreciate that Remy is trying to be a facilitator.
Yeah he has bought in a bit. He has never been an efficient scorer so in a way I am glad. He can get a tough bucket when needed obviously.
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Surprise (Nevada) Game Thread:
Honestly just keep Juan on Sherfield all night.
Hard agree.
Juando on both ends baby
Problems on both ends when Jalen comes in. Now we get the Jalen Mitch combo. :beer_mug:
lol Remy
CB!!!!
2 pt defense better with Dave, 3pt defense worse.
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Surprise (Nevada) Game Thread:
@BShark The team we're playing might have something to do with it lol
I think this is a lot of it and they will score eventually.
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Surprise (Nevada) Game Thread:
Defense looks pretty good though
Will Baker still :pile_of_poo:
Sherfield will go off tonight
We good.
I think it's because they don't want to cause a shortage on them.

No KU offer...YET.
Left the UNM program today.
Started 9/12 games but was trending in the wrong direction.

With so many going on the covid list, other AFC contenders may get rocked soon. Chiefs are on the short end this week, but Pats, Titans, Bills, Ravens could all get hit and lose key players for a game.
This could even affect playoff availability.
I'm thinking we may need a pause or they will have to change player eligibility rules. We know the NFL reaaally doesn't want to cancel games.
Not surprised.
I think a lot of the "less deadly" talk just has to do with people being vaccinated + natural immunity combo. Death count on curve isn't quite increasing at the same rate as past case spikes even considering lag.
I've said this before but everyone will get it. Best you can do is try to avoid it and put yourself in a position to survive it. Vax, take vitamins etc...
I'm sick with something right now, but don't think it's covid. Just a minor thing.
@BeddieKU23 said in Concerns for Colorado game:
KU's defense is last in ppg. Kenpom has them #38 nationally (8th best in Big-12).
The defense isn't good and it was an issue collectively and individually. Dave was the domino that set the game in another direction when he got 2 early fouls.
Not many are going to go around claiming KU's defense is good but when the offense doesn't play to its Top 5 capability everything becomes more noticeable. That wasn't even close to KU's best performance on offense and I think that's what really made it much closer then it should be.
I give credit to SFA's coach for knowing Self too well and making a defensive scheme that he knew would potentially slow down KU enough to keep them in the game and it worked. They were prepared well and gave KU a lot of issues getting into sets.
The 2 pt defense if horrific but that's what you get when you have to rotate Dave and Mitch at the 5.
New offer
SFA had a 6'5'' center come off the bench and go 7-8 shooting. 7-7 from 2 as his only miss was from three.
@Crimsonorblue22 said in Latrell's Revenge Game Thread:
I don't know that, but he's got to make more of an effort to meet the ball and not just stand there. They were overplaying everything
Well Bill didn't play him at all tonight right? Team was exhausted late because the rotations were very tight. Zach only played in the first half because of foul issues.
Interior defense is a massive issue and has been all year. I don't think it is fixable.
Made an offhand post in the game thread and got to thinking about this.
Dajuan and Jamari came to mind immediately, any other broken home life success stories in the Self era?
@Crimsonorblue22 said in Latrell's Revenge Game Thread:
Jalen good post D on that
He should play the 5 more
@BeddieKU23 said in Latrell's Revenge Game Thread:
Good win needed a test
Bill Self toughening box game.
The real success stories for a coach are getting 4-5/10 players to 7/10 or better level. Dajuan, Jamari etc

Love him. Tough upbringing.
REMY COOOOOOL
Free throw issues for KU tonight
yikes
Crunch time with 44 COOOOOOOOL
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Latrell's Revenge Game Thread:
We have 2 bigs who play and they both aren't very good.
Thought Zach was okay in the first half. Tournament Bill rotations in the 2nd...
@DanR said in Latrell's Revenge Game Thread:
Remy is not that good. there, I said it. Can make a flashy pass but that's it.
I'll continue watching this year, but a lot of new faces next year will be fun. I also think Bill is upping the athleticism with all our high school signees.
