I think he could show more than Harris if given the time

He's easily better than Dajuan lol

@wissox Braun having a real good game so far.

One of our 3 best players easily. His detractors are weird.

Dayton has good young talent. If they get the turnovers under control they can be a tournament team (with their early losses I assume they will have to win their conference tournament).

Just because we go 10 deep does not mean line changes

I want a minimum of 2 of Remy/CB/Och/Jalen out there at the same time.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 06:38 PM

Weird to see Dayton go on a run when Bill takes 3 of our top players out of the line-up.

Rebound jeez

Dayton is a very good rebounding team and KU is not. Gonna have to make shots today.

Hoping JCL gets more run today, good match-up for him.

Rock chalk

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 06:12 PM

@drgnslayr Makes me really sad that KU didn't make a real play for him.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 06:10 PM

As long as we aren't taking a shot every time.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 06:08 PM

Gonzaga looks like by far the best team in the country to me. This SHOULD finally be their year.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 06:02 PM

@wissox Good thing ESPN told us 5000 times, might not have known.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 05:30 PM

Dayton has been very bad defending the three point line so you know Bill will hammer it in to Dave (who never passes out). Bodes well for the game in general though.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 05:29 PM

We good.

Non-KU Games • Nov 26, 2021 04:53 PM

@BeddieKU23 said in Non-KU Games:

The defense is not nearly where it will need to be to beat good teams. Rebounding especially is another big issue. Good problems to have because both tend to get locked in as we go

Agree. I am more worried when we can't score and the offensive efficiency of this team is pretty damn good when they don't turn it over (or give Dave the ball currently).

Rebounding is...well Remy led the team in rebounds yesterday. CB and Jalen I think will be our main rebounders. Dave is just terrible at it.

Non-KU Games • Nov 26, 2021 04:46 PM

The goal is to switch everything with most line-ups. Bobby is also lost on D still. Our best line-up currently is Remy, CB, Och, Jalen, Dave or Mitch. When Dave is right mentally it's him. There is probably a small gain defensively with Dajuan over Remy in that line-up but it loses a lot on offense. Opposing coaches are going to ask their players to just completely ignore Dajuan. He gets into a good position and most players in college basketball would score and then he doesn't even take the shot.

Non-KU Games • Nov 26, 2021 04:40 PM

@KirkIsMyHinrich I love the way Bill has this team defending threes. They don't always execute it and it's my main worry about Zach (we can't execute it at all with him in there and gave up open looks when he played) but the plan is very good.

Non-KU Games • Nov 26, 2021 04:39 PM

UNT is rolling Miami. Could Larrañaga's days be numbered? His last winning season and tournament appearance was 2017-18.

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 02:15 PM

@Marco with what Bill is bringing in I would assume Dave is moving on.

KU favored by slightly more than the UNT game. 15 points.

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 26, 2021 01:26 AM

Eh, last year was hard to watch. That was a pretty good result with a hurt Remy and Dave playing awful.

Non-KU Games • Nov 26, 2021 01:14 AM

I'm with you it would have been a more interesting test athletically.

Non-KU Games • Nov 26, 2021 12:22 AM

KU was good today when it mattered. Not remotely worried as it was a 20 point win before putting in the walk-ons.

Non-KU Games • Nov 25, 2021 11:54 PM

Bama down in flames against Iona. No "chalk" final for this tournament.

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 25, 2021 10:27 PM

Not the worst idea for 3 games in 3 days.

You can tell Remy is feeling a bit hurt, UNT has been going at him defensively almost exclusively lately.

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 25, 2021 08:54 PM

Jalen :star-struck:

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 25, 2021 08:49 PM

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 25, 2021 08:48 PM

Oof JCL

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 25, 2021 08:47 PM

Remy back in, I knew Bill could hear me lmao

UNT Turkey Day Game Thread • Nov 25, 2021 08:45 PM

The offense got bad when Bill took out Remy for a complete non-scorer (Harris). I for one am shocked.

Why the Jalen/Mitch combo?

I...don't hate it?

Just seems weird that it has been in unison. Not really playing Dave/Jalen together. Or Jalen at the 5

Yeah not much Jalen at the 5 today. Saw it briefly. I'm pretty good with not seeing the Dave/Jalen combo tbh.
