Lucas and Bragg in there. Game gets tight, Self goes back to his roots, he just can't help it.
Enh, upon further review, it was correct.
Bit of a bail out call but I love Frank too.

12 points in 9 minutes isn't beating anyone to be fair.
8 points in 2 minutes is decent though, lol

They are getting good looks tonight though.
Mason was hammered but no call, I see how it's gonna be
Good grief Carlton that was gift wrapped
Amen brother
Slopppppppy
I was hoping they'd be fired up after that bad performance but it seems like winning by so much despite poor play was a negative.
Woof
Shooting away from AFH has been an issue....
Ugh, Lando post up
Sandstorm? When did we get to Mancrappin?
Let's rough em up.
KSU and Texas are both hot garbage. That said, the refs are really favouring KSU.

Love these tweets. Always a place or two like this on the team for kids with this kind of work ethic.
Yeah 4.5 is a bit low, I don't think it ends up a 1-2 possession game.
The bad part about his transfer is that he went from one hard nosed coach to another. So if he was unhappy, I'm not sure what he thought was going to change. He should have went to NDSU or somewhere like that.
I'm no fan of Bruce at all, but I bet they beat Texas by 15+.
I think WVU will win otherwise same picks.
Would take. He was solid for them last year and with a year off for more development would be a nice part of a post rotation at KU. Get Copeland and Cunliffe and that's more nice talent on the bench.
Lol at the article mentioning Naz Reid. Though, I'd love to get him. Just not happening.

I don't think Cal is nearly done recruiting. New names will emerge, some kids will back out of commitments after coaching changes etc. KU and UK will most likely be after any hot name that emerges this spring.
Fair. There are always decommits.

Sima ended up at Oklahoma St..
Also Cunliffe visits Georgetown before his KU visit. And reportedly Seattle is involved, can't imagine really in it.. Hopefully he don't commit to Georgetown before his visit
Nice, more talent in the B12.
We know Georgetown will sell the kid hard. With KU on the table though, hopefully he will at least visit KU first.
Seattle would only be if he REALLY wanted to be back at home you'd think. Maybe just a courtesy to be mentioned but who knows. Not a ton of options considering wherever he goes has to have an open scholarship and he can't really shoot (you can succeed with a non-shooter or two in college and considering his athleticism I think he would be a good pick-up in spite of this).
I like Gabriel too, I was just thinking since Cal is bringing in two other hybrid forwards then maybe. I think they'd be crazy to do it, maybe Gabriel can play the 3 for them next year.
And yeah they only have for sure on the roster next year: Green, Alexander. Now I don't think Briscoe should go pro but reports are he wants to. Doesn't look like they will get Hami and I still believe Duke gets Knox (who is a wing and not a guard anyway). Really interesting situation. Will Cal have to comb to JUCO and/or grad tranfer ranks? Not sure what else he can do, maybe get Quickley to reclassify? You just can't roll out there with only two actual guards.
So Vanderbilt popped for UK the other day. This makes 3 post commits for them.
Adebayo will be drafted and Willis is a SR. That leaves approximately 1 million post players still on their roster. I am thinking someone will transfer. Wynyard is the most likely candidate. 6'10'' 250 pound beast buried on their bench. I could see it being Gabriel as well. Humphries seems like a program back-up big for them but he is only playing 11 minutes a game. 5 star Killeya-Jones is buried on their bench as well. If it happens, I'd bet KU would inquire about any of them.
Still need to add probably 4 players. Likely 3 guards and a post. Young/Walker/Cunliffe would be the dream, but probably not likely and one of the guards will probably be a sub 100 ranking project.
Staff is recruiting under the assumption that Graham is leaving.

@BeddieKU23 Mailing it in certainly describes the 2nd half. I can rationalize by saying they are young, they were clearly superior to UNLV and they were thinking about leaving for their respective homes. Boy, Devonte was off from the jump.
After reflecting on Dokes injury and the effect on the team......
We still have 7 good or very good players. Coleby is a decent 8th man and Lightfoot, though inexperienced can fill in as needed..........and should get better as the year goes by.
Josh can dominate all by himself.
We can beat anyone with those 7-8 guys. The lack of depth up front could lose us a game or two.
More importantly............it could be the difference in one specific game in the Dance..........but won't necessarily be the case.
We can win with the 7 regulars we have plus the other 2 when necessary.....lots of teams have.
Yeah we made a title game with 6 guys (that run was crazy) so there is always hope.

Definitely we have a pecking order of sorts. Svi is fast approaching for 3rd though when he plays like he did last night.
I have no doubts this team will be focused for TCU. I don't think KU has ever lost a Big-12 opener. Is that correct?
Yeah, I just want to see it consistently from Svi. And some might think well Josh has only been here a fraction of a year but the difference is he has been consistently good the entire time from the moment we have seen him. Whereas Svi has had good games before (esp against bad teams) and then went back to inconsistent play.
Mason and Josh are the two clear cut best players on the team. So far to me, it's not super close. Then you have the other guards Vick, Svi and Graham who are all capable of great games, but aren't as efficient night in and night out.
Lucas and Bragg are pretty close to the same player, at least statistically. I think long term Bragg can be better of course. I'm never expecting much out of our bigs, but outside of rebounding they were pretty close to invisible last night, except Bragg and Lucas both had an inexplicable miss at the rim.
I would expect the team to be focused for TCU.
Graham and Mason 6-20, 1-9
Svi and Josh 17-30, 5-8
Weeeeeird game.
MITCH LIGHTFOOT JUMPER
Wow Landen
Svisus
Save us Svi

Devonte Graham being a joke show for 35 minutes doesn't help
Didn't feel like playing tonight I guess
Good grief
UNLV putrid at the line
These numbers are about what I would have guessed. Really bad on both.
2nd half offense has been pretty putrid. Let's just get out of here and get to break.
Effort level is returning to good levels
That miss at the rim by Bragg....yeah you knew he was getting yanked.
Graham and Mason can't shoot tonight
There is always a pre-Christmas bad game.
Not even trying until recently. Can't get away with that against good teams.
UNLV already at their first half total 2/5 into the 2nd half says about all you need to know about this half.
