In addition to rebound, I feel KJ's path to extended playing time involves developing enough skill to potentially play the 4. Right now, he's a situational defensive player.

The Baylor kid is not a big. He's a wing. He wants an Ochai type role in terms of creative responsibility. I'm not sure how hard we go but I think if we press really hard we get him from what is being whispered around. I think a visit is key in terms of showing how serious we are. Agree there are real concerns with his athleticism.
The other kid mentioned, DJ Burns is not a KU level big.
Hunter is a great player and there is mutual interest. As @kuballin10 said the defensive potential is very good. There would be some offensive concerns but this could be mitigated by having good to great shooters at the other 3 spots.
The staff wants a small guard and a wing. Would be nice if both were starter level players or close to it. We have 2 5* wings coming in but Freshman are never entirely predictable..
Watch to see if we bring in the Baylor kid for a visit...
