Yay let's turn the ball over at every chance
What is he supposed to do there, become invisible after passing it?
Just awful refs
Might as well just play teehah
Jalen checked for the guys wallet. Wtf
Oh the makeup phantom call
Rack up the fouls on em
Can't play mitch. Just can't

Wilson can contribute in a lot of ways - shooting from deep is not one of them. Shots aren't even close.
Hes got 3 assists at least
Love the intensity so far. Gotta keep it up. That's what we missed Saturday
Big start for JCL
Coleman lands!
@BShark said in Boo Part 2 Game Thread:
JCL you gotta finish that
Yeah that's why he doesn't play much
Nice cb
Awful coleman
Nice start for Dave on track for 30 shots
Come on jalen
Remy is officially out tonight. He did travel

@BeddieKU23 gotta feeling that it may happen
I wish I was confident it would. Iowa St really made life difficult for us in Allen. I hope that those two take the opportunity to step up. Cb has been passing up shots for 2 yrs now
@rockchalkjayhawk said in Boo Part 2 Game Thread:
So, not to get into Covid crazies and have a million anti masking remarks...but do they still contract trace? Will others who were near Och have to sit and isolate?
Not sure but the team is boosted and they are not testing unless symptoms occur. That could have changed if Och has it etc. Bet they did test everyone so they could play the game.
@BShark said in Iowa St game:
A win would be pretty neat but really hard to see it happening.
It's bill. But for real CB and Jalen need to get 40 combined
@tundrahok said in Iowa St game:
@Texas-Hawk-10 JCL also has extra incentive playing against his former team tonight.
Don't think he made a shot the first go around. But perhaps Hilton will help

Where the heck we going to get points from to replace Oach ?
30 shots from a hurt dave
Iowa St 8th best defense per kenpom. We struggled to score in the first matchup and most likely 29 points per game will not play tonight. Might be a miracle to hit 50.
Sounds like change of scenery needed.
Jackson averaged 5.2 minutes over 16 games as a freshman last season and appeared in just four games this season. He missed the start of the season due to an undisclosed health issue and has not appeared on the bench during games since Michigan’s trip to Rutgers on Jan. 4.
He’s just working through some things,” Martelli said on Jan. 17. “He’s getting all the support from the coaching staff, from the personnel on campus, and making sure he’s in a good place mentally to rejoin the team if that’s what’s best for him.”
Newell tweeted about 30 minutes ago about Yesufu continuing to work hard for when he gets the opportunity. That opportunity to score 30 could come tonight
Another rumor out there is Remy will not play either. We shall see
Might as well get this one going.
Zeb Jackson, 6'5 4 star PG leaving Michigan after half a season. Talk on him is he will have a lot of interest.
Also hearing they may not even have games this week. Might not just be Och. They made the trip but could be something to watch.
80th in 2pt% in the country as a team. Torvik shows 66% as a team on close 2's. Hoop explorer shows 63% on layup/dunks.
Mitch and CB are the only individuals shooting 60% or higher on their 2's. Jalen (59%), Och (56%), Coleman-Lands (56%), KJ (55%).
Dave, Remy, Harris all under 50% on 2's overall.
Och has the highest % of shots made at the rim (75%). No surprise there. Dave (56%) & Remy (53%) are the worst at the rim. Dave & Mitch combine to get 11.7% of their shots blocked at the rim. That's just crazy bad.
Surprised they even made 11 tbh
We all know he's mastered what to say to the media at this point
Remy playing at 60 or 70% if you believe dat:dizzy_face:
Zach out another week or so
Bobby playing through his injury. Playing 10 minutes was his max. Doesn't sound like he will be healthy enough the rest of the season.
Last but not least Dave McCormack now listed with a foot injury. Self says he is not 100% and won't be the rest of the season.
Pretty much how every season goes at some point.

Glad the staff realized they had no shot and secured Udeh.
Agree. Udeh just fits here as well. I think we might even get 4 yrs out the dude
I feel confident they will be better then Saturday because it just doesn't get much worse. I also feel confident because Self rarely losses back to back games. After that I don't know. Hilton probably will be difficult and we just have to find a way to defend in this one. Iowa St can get awful on offense so that potentially helps us a bit.
Yeah he is not a lockdown defender, not many are at the level. Think his ceiling is higher then Braun who's now on draft boards so we should be pretty darn excited
Hes been doing that all year. Noticeable improvement in his game. Taken on a bigger role without issue. I think he's the best shooter KU has signed in several classes
I read over there too for giggles, agree and good way to put it. Savages over there
Highs and Lows of following your favorite team. It's a message board(s) where people express what they feel, what they want. We all are passionate, maybe even get heated, say things we don't actually mean and that's easy when things go badly as they did Saturday. When things are cookin' and wins are piling up its easy to relax a bit and enjoy. When you lose by 18, not so much.
The blowouts seem to bring out more views since it usually only occurs when KU doesn't play well for all or a majority of the game. We've had some pretty bad losses in recent memory, some in the regular season, some in the post-season. As the original post hits on, we just need some dudes and looks like we have a recruiting class that is expected of a blue-blood program. Would be nice if we sustained those classes. I think Self can maintain and get some more success landing more recruiting classes like this one and sprinkling in some good transfers.
Yohan Traore got his strong a** offer to go to LSU
Kentucky moved up 5 spots in the polls to where KU was before Saturday. Biggest jump of the week.
Duke stayed neutral. I was fully expecting they'd move up after beating a team without a coach.
5 ranked Big-12 teams in the AP Poll.
KU down 5 spots to #10. Iowa St up a few to #20. A chance for a road win against a ranked team. Not bad optics to have potentially after a bad, bad loss.
No I don't think what he does well would have been valued here. Maybe he gets more PT with the coaching change now. He was their only big that did much of anything down low against that 2some of Banchero & Williams. One play that stuck out was he drove baseline on Williams the monster shot blocker and pinned him on the backboard while reversing to get an athletic layup. Also got fouled (actually absolutely clobbered) on a running start play where he tried to take the rim off only to get taken out in mid air and Williams blocked it from behind. No foul on the play, way too much contact for play on imo. That game was getting awful chippy
Played 15 minutes on Saturday. 8 pts, 1 board. Shoots 74% from the floor and worse then Doke at the FT line (44%). Knows how to finish at the rim, not much of a rebounder or rim protector. His playing time has been very sporadic. Had a two game stretch where he played a lot and did well on the box score (season high 22 and 10 against NC St). Avg 10 minutes a game.
Sydney had some good moments against Duke on Saturday. Played a lot probably due to his big body and athleticism against Duke's imposing front line. I've seen him play sparingly in a few others so wonder what's been going on there. Can't shoot a lick from the line but he's an athletic body we sure could have used this season down low. Got into it with Duke players a few times after some hard plays/fouls. The fact we got Cam and let him go to Louisville seems like a bad trade off. Who knows for sure. Just a few observations after watching that game Saturday.
If you want "the sky is actually falling" visit the phog board. The absolute coaching failure thread has some pure gold.
Something that may be 100% true is that everyone involved in this process is frustrated at the lack of a resolution. This has clearly gone past its due date and the milk is chunky and sour now.

@rockchalkjayhawk Maybe in addition to the players being gone they are waiting for a generation of fans to stop caring....or die off.
They are getting damn close @mayjay ! :(
I mean, the lack of transparency in the process seems opposite of the intention of this “Independent” process. Maddening.
Oh your not satisfied with the timeline transparency that basically tells you nothing more then a sentence of something that may have occurred? How dare you! Of course I'm kidding. If this heads to court we may get even less transparency
