Bryce is probable to play according to self in pre game..
I understand this isn't a good team. They haven't really played much games with their full roster and have had covid interruptions. The body of work says we should win easy but recently they have played 3 straight teams to single digit defeats. They usually play KU tough even on our home floor with full fans. Recently most of their rotation guys are shooting the 3 ball well which is something KU really struggles to defend.
I'm obviously hoping they play well tonight could care less if we cover, the line did surprise me though
What's worse is the foot he landed on was none other then Omari Spellman, the same jackass that made a bunch of 3's against KU in the final four playing against Doke..
Vegas has this one KU favored by 15.5..
Seems high given Iowa ST has lost by 4 to West Virginia, 7 to Oklahoma & 3 to TCU recently. Their recent results don't speak to us being 16 points better then them.
Recently (last 3) Bolton- 20ppg, he's the kind of guard KU has trouble guarding. Inconsistent 3 pt shooter but gets to the line and draws lots of fouls (13-13 ft) last game.
Coleman 44% from 3, Johnson 44% from 3, Harris 57% from 3, Walker 50% from 3. As usual Iowa St a 3 point chucking team.

No doubt I'll take Blanks over Fran. Maybe its the whole production atmosphere for the ESPN + games that kills me. It's not great but at least we get to see the games someway somehow. I just think Blanks tends to get ranting about things outside the game. I'm not interested in your book collection dude. But it sure beats Fran's 40 minute slobberfest of Cade Cunningham
Really haven't seen Bailey linked with KU. Honestly don't think we can play in that sandbox if you get the hint. National recruit playing on a big HS team that funnels kids to Nike etc. He's a stud but I think our recruiting efforts would be wasted on him with what we are currently faced with
Lots of potential benefits to having Thompson back. The first one has to do with the fact Harris has been underperforming lately, to say the least. Self needs a guard that can spell Garrett or any of the guards without a significant drop in play. Hopefully he can get comfortable again and give this team a boost off the bench. The bench has scored 2, 4 & 11 pts in the last 3. We need more bench production, Thompson can provide that.

Kansas St game has been rescheduled to Feb 17th giving the guys 2 extra days of rest..
Sounds about right. Can't lose any of the next 3. I think a winning streak going into the Tech game at home is winnable and Texas has hit a lull in play. Baylor looks like the only game we are likely to be overwhelmed.

KU up to #22 in the NET (from 26). 4 Quad 1 wins..

Bracketology dropped them to a #6 seed (from 5). CBS has them a #7 seed.
Agree the level of effort has been much better the last two. Noticeable. Now if only they could make layups and stop turning the ball over..
