Probably will change. I'd assume we get the toughest schedule once again especially when it comes to the Saturday/Monday games

Portal over 2k entries. Portal Window is closed. Should see a few trickle in here and there. The only guys left will be those withdrawing from the NBA draft by end of month.
KU is still pursuing Jaxon Robinson & Jordan Ivy-Curry currently. Small committed to West Virginia so he wasn't interested in winning. Still think we'll push hard for a wing until they know on Kugel. The 13th spot could go to someone developmental or just a practice body.
Experienced this in Vermont a few weeks back (not tornado) but winds up to 70mph ripped my trampoline that was anchored into the ground and landed on top of my above ground pool, destroyed the trampoline, damage to the pool. Broken basketball hoop (shattered the backboard), broke 3 outside lights and several other things. I legitimately felt like the house was going to cave in and not a fun situation to be in. Can't imagine with a Tornado near
Reminder May 1st is the deadline for transfers to enter, both undergrad and graduate. Will see some trickling in after the deadline (just means they weren't announced in quick fashion) but at least there's a finality to the chaos there.

He can't share it yet but it also may be the name in the other thread. It's not a "flashy name" but "could help down the line". Stay tuned.
KU is working to figure out the Kugel situation. Both sides want him here.
They will look for another wing if no Kugel. Will be really hard to find anyone as good as Kugel tho

We don't land these kind of recruits typically. Cal was heavily involved before he visited KU so regardless of a commitment this kid was still going to experience plenty of tampering.
I don't see any reason to spend high level NIL on a High School point guard unlikely to be able to lead a Self team to a championship in likely his only yr in College.
We will see where it goes but this isn't one to lose sleep over for next year's class

Makes sense, the efficiency numbers are off the charts and he will be facing a new level of athletes. He's going to be a good shooter but yeah I don't think your expecting 49% next year at that volume again.

He got scared from a guard that hasn't at least officially committed here who wouldn't play here until Philon was a Soph. Can't buy it but wouldn't surprise me either with today's youth and those that influence them.
I have seen that it's actually Elmarko and Jamari likely returning that got them worried about playing time. Regardless Philon and his camp aren't that interested in adversity so it's 🤷

Yes Small is likely to visit this weekend it's looking. Wouldn't be a replacement for Kugel position wise but would absolutely add value to this team as a combo guard. Dooley has a connection to him.
In NCAA fashion they have changed the grad transfer rule to now have Grad's fall within the portal window rules. Before Grad Transfers could transfer out at any time after transfer windows closed, no longer the case. Of course they do this with just a week or so left in the current portal window.
He wouldn't play at all at Baylor either. Roach and incoming stud Rob Wright + 2nd year Mario Little. He isn't going to find an easy roster. These kids SMH
I think you can bet the farm he'll move on a few more times. Really liked his potential as lead guard here but now I don't have to worry

Brea still in play, did a zoom call with the staff and there might be a visit upcoming. That would be a big swing. We'll see

Reportedly has visited Louisville, could visit Memphis and may also go back to UK.

Acuff had some heavy hitters after him before KU got this visit + momentum that he may commit to the good guys. UK and Calipari were heavily involved prior to his falling out at UK the last month and I doubt its coincidence that there's been this change in his recruitment. Now Cal goes to Arkansas that also has big NIL so yeah you can imagine this recruitment isn't over. Michigan also has a new coach and there's rumor he could give look at them as well.
Getting a commitment this early is cool but there is zero assurance he'd stick for that duration (however long it may be).
Koby Brea has KU in his final top 5 list with other heavy hitters. I'm doubting we land him unless some things move in a negative direction (like Griffen not committing) and Kugel not signing due to whatever is holding him up (academics is the rumor). We shall see if Brea moves faster to pick a spot without knowing some decisions.
Can't fault the staff for keeping in this one due to his 49% 3 pt shooting last year. I don't anticipate he will improve there or replicate but with his list of pursuers his shooting abilities are noticed

I did not see Roach linked to KU beyond that tweet from Hunter. He entered the portal and word of Baylor being the destination was pretty hand and hand so sounds like Roach already knew where he was going. The word is Roach wanted to showcase being lead guard again, at Duke he played off ball a bit last year. With Harris we certainly didn't have the ability to sell him anything he was looking for.
