Must be playing into his play
Dave's mom is here for the first time this yr
At least they came to play
Foul
They literally foul on every play
Sure 8 points from 1 guy
Hoping 3 but 2 is possible if he develops the way we all expect

I agree I don't see the benefit to transferring unless he felt he wasn't playing the position he'd play at the next level and wanted to find somewhere that would promise him that role. The fact he's still in the Top 100 at all is a credit to his prior reputation, not his College rep or production as it stands. He's not getting drafted on 38% FG, 32% 3's and 54% FT.
I hope him and Devon come back.
I think it has to be at least a 75% chance that they're both back.
Dotson will be back. I'm confident that he will get good information for next yr which could be his last here. He is a possible all American next yr and definitely will be in the race for conference honors.
I cant read Grimes yet. I do think he has a good support system in place that will help him. His mom was a KU grad so I'm sure she will preach that end. They know he isnt a 4 yr guy but he is just behind where everyone thought he would be this yr so I think they will see the benefit in coming back. That's my hope. I mentioned before that when your preseason top 10 people lurch. Agents, NBA connections in unofficial ways. I'm sure they were confident he would only need a year so if he comes back I'd assume things got worked out behind the scenes. If he leaves I fully expect its because the family bet on him being good enough to leave and arranging such. We will see what happens
Well another bad look for Josh. Just a matter of time before he's out of Phoenix.

Some of those same coaches in the preseason I bet were praising Grimes and how good they thought he would be under Self. I distinctly remember seeing at least a handful of coaches say they thought he could be the best freshman in the entire class and how absurd does that claim look now..
At this point I don't think anyone should be able to blame Self for his struggles this season. He's let him play through every imaginable situation over the course of this season. He's logged over 700 minutes. Self can't make him shoot better or fight for rebounds or find the open man. Normally we'd expect Self to decrease his role or have him come off the bench at this point and he hasn't budged on starting him. If his K-St game was something he'd shown on a semi-consistent basis he'd be 40 spots higher on that Top 100 list right now.
a 60 plus drop for Grimes since pre-season. yikes

There's a lot of "he shouldn't have gone to Kansas, Self sucks" in that article from anonymous coaches. :/
Vecenie's wrap-up is really good.
Jealousy is not a good trait for these coaches
Tech just got a phantom foul call in their favor.
Absolutely a concern. I'll just leave it at that
I'm okay with TCU losing last night if it gives them more motivation to play for against K-ST. Tournament life on the line, great motivator
OU is actually in the tournament as of today and their conference record is not being held against them. There's a handful of teams with losing conference records with good chances of getting in. Not the same as other years
Bossi says Hurt could announce on his birthday April 20th. This from his dad. If this was already reported my apologies
I cannot for the life of me figure out how Marquette would be a #3 seed over KU. The difference in conference strength is not even close this year. The Big East is a 3-4 bid league tops this year while the Big-12 will likely put 7-8 teams in. Marquette has good wins- Lousville, Kansas St, Wisconsin, Buffalo, Nova. We have common opponent wins against Nova K-St plus a win over Marquette on Neutral floor. Maybe the edge is in the lack of bad loses for Marquette & a better road record..

Charlie isn't shooting well... But he's no Jack white! Lol 0 for last 28 from 3
oh my. Just looked and he went 0-10 against Syracuse when they lost in Cameron. He's 1-32 in his last 15 games. wow
Culver has played well this year. Spent last year as a post-grad instead of red-shirting at WVU due to grades so he came into College this year a year older then most (think Devonte Graham) who did the same and went to same school.
He'll be good in this league going forward once he learns to stop fouling and turning the ball over at the rates he does.
Definitely. Making shots just seemed to make a difference for him last night. Loved his effort overall and I wish we could bottle it up.
He still has a long ways to go to showing that consistently but we got a glimpse last night of the player we expected out of HS
Best defense I saw out of him all year. The effort was there and it wasn't inconsistent. He saw a few shots go in which probably helped him out big time.
He had a blue slushie on the bench, of course, that's what bosses do
The defensive game plan to switch all positions is what won this game. Made K-ST stagnant on offense in a bad way and forced bad shots. Normally K-St moves the ball well and KU completely neutralized their attack.
Between Conference & Non-Conference away games KU has been called for 40 more fouls. That's a lot of whistles

Oh and the foul differential tonight was 9 in favor of KU. In Manhattan it was 8 in favor of KSU. Tale as old as time.
Ran the numbers for the season on fouls. Even in conference home/away difference. Will be interesting to see if our Neutral foul advantage holds up in a few weeks
Non-Con Away/Neutral:
Away- KU +20 fouls called against them
Neutral- Opponent +11 called against them
Conference Away/Home
Away- KU +20 fouls called against them
Home- Opponent +20 fouls called against them
