Amazing another coach on the air giving their game plan on how to beat KU. Like we dont hear it enough
Arizona & LSU coaches will have to testify in court..
I wonder how much press this will get when things come out..
Saturday wasn't even rock bottom. They will rally tonight, I think. I hope.
But wait til Saturday in the annual thumping we take in Stillwater.
There is no chance we see the first 10 minutes of our game on espn
Took OSU 7 minutes to score
Lol Oklahoma St is down 15-0 in the first 6 minutes against Kst. KU has to win tonight and Monday
TCU holds on
Ryan on the Phog doesnt think Achiuwa ends up at KU and even said he may not visit.. interesting twist to pay attention to.
He does think if Miller gets canned at Arizona that KU Could circle back to Nnaji if needed. He also mentioned Josh Green but that's like saying Wiseman would have gone to KU, a complete joke
I was in the same boat about Doke coming back. Better to have a known commodity. Then we have started to see Dave develop without him here. We are getting 3 more years of Dave. Do we want his development stymied another year?
The biggest issues is the injuries with Doke. Hasn't had one season without a season/ending or season changing injury. Is it bad luck or is he a Greg Oden?
I'll support whatever he does with his future. Would love to see him end it here of course but we do have a big waiting in the wings if he leaves..
Shaka can't catch a break. The Big-12 has been ravaged by injuries and such. Life on the bubble just got more difficult
Thanks I get it NOW. Wow that one went over my head.
I would like to see some recent video of him to see if him becoming a Top 50 player is because he's improved that much or because this class is extremely weak and it doesn't take much to leap others.
I don't think Bedore has any inside info on Azubuike. I think its too early to tell what he will do. Self just commented on him this week saying he's out until June. Either way his NBA chances are extremely slim and he'll miss at least some of the off-season player development if he stays. Not really a win-win for him regardless. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out
Gary Bedore tweeted he thinks Azubuike will turn pro after the season.
“Azubuike hasn't announced anything regarding next year. If you are asking my opinion I would not count on him being back. Very good chance of turning pro IMO.”

247 now lists him as 6'9. Did he get measured recently to gain those 2'?
Was he previously 4'9?
Last I saw he was listed at 6'7, now 6'9 and Farmer saying he's a legit 6'10 now. So he's grown, not uncommon. I still don't view him as a true post player though and I think fans thinking some 6'9, 6'10 fast rising player is going to replace Dedric or whoever else leaves from the front court this year is begging to be disappointed. He does look like he has the tools to develop, in time into more of a hybrid 4 man

@BeddieKU23 Can't wait to see him by Sophomore and Junior year as well...
Your right I fast tracked a few years thinking what a finished developed Dave will look like. With his drive and determination I have a feeling he's going to be a fan favorite by his Sr night.
Athletic guard. Seen a bump in his ranking playing on a good team. He's ranked appropriately and would be a nice 4 yr guy for any Power 5 school.
I think he's more of a plan B type if Stanley stays West and Grimes doesn't return. I don't think he's better then McBride or Braun so I'm not sure how serious the staff pursues him. Doesn't hurt to be involved though
Can't wait to see him by Senior year..

Garrett will suit up on Saturday but is a game-time decision on whether he'll actually play. Looks like they could hold him out until Monday
Nice to have a big time visitor on a big time game
I can't stop laughing. Zion should have never worn on sale $92.50 sneakers. That's the problem. Sad sad sad media. If he comes back he better be wearing those $300 Ball shoes

247 bumped him into the top 50 after the Without Borders tournament.
Draftexpress did a 4 minute interview with him going over the usuals. Nothing ground breaking but he did impress scouts in a tournament that's been a springboard for some top prospects in the past.
KU being in this for a while should help. I think. Who Knows. I hope he doesn't have a handler
This was designed so he could sign with Adidas after the season
Yahoo Headline."Zion risks millions every step he takes". He actually has to take steps to make millions. Today's headlines are pure comedy
latest update. Nike stocks plunge after Zion's injury.
Jaybate we need ya, Adidas did some work here.
Whatever happened to warning the crowd? Good Gosh if I'm Georgia I'm not stopping until that crew is fired
saw this and thought maybe some common sense should have kicked in?? Let the players decide the outcome
Felt the same when I saw this. Zion is a team player and very few in America have a motor like his. He competes
Jaybate is missing his shinning moment here.

Likely to keep rising with the blue bloods after
All I could think of was Jaybate when I woke up this morning and saw the world had stopped due to Zion's injury.
Honestly shocked ESPN didn't cut the broadcast of the game but then they realized their other less meaningful meal ticket was playing in the same game so they had no choice but to live that nightmare.
This was some deep cover ops by Adidas to get revenge for KT being on wire talking about what it would cost to get Zion to Adidas.
shoegate
firethemaintenanceguyforslipperyfloor
Sportscenter will probably air a 3 hour special with multiple renowned knee specialist diagnosing the injury and prognosis.
They might even suggest Zion get a new leg if it helped him get back before the NCAA tourney
This is rivals blurb
Wherever he does end up, one should expect a playmaking forward that is ambidextrous to a certain extent, can play either forward position and should make for a positive impact on a high-major playing floor from the get-go.

KU still recruiting Tristan Enaruna
It was the best that we have seen Tristan Enaruna play to date as he looked like a legitimate NBA Draft target while competing against some of the most touted international prospects. Enaruna sports a great frame that he should fill out and while he has been knocked for his toughness in the past, he did show the capacity to play through contact and take the bump before finishing at the basket.
Eraruna remains at his best as an ambidextrous playmaker in the frontcourt that can throw precise passes on the go and also convert on nifty off-handed runners in the lane. What put things over the top was his consistent perimeter jumper that we had never seen before. He was one of the biggest stock boosters in Charlotte. The Netherlands native is currently hearing the most from Creighton, Kansas, Miami, Texas and Texas Tech.
So is he more of a 4 than a 3 at the next level?
Not sure I haven't seen him play. Just a few highlight videos. At 6'7 205 he could develop into either. We need post help and I'm not sure he's really the answer for that. I think KU is keeping the pot warm in case they can't get Hurt or Achiuwa

Hilarious Move. Made the Ravens job easier
Interesting. I fail to see the logic in margin of victory being a significant factor in this ranking system then. KU's average margin of victory in its 20 wins is 10. They have played 11 teams that were either ranked at the time of playing them or have been ranked at some point. Naturally its going to lead to closer games. If KU was blowing out good teams we sure as heck wouldn't need a NET ranking to know how good we are. I know this is to be used for seeding but it certainly feels we are getting hung out to dry for playing a tough schedule (something you should be rewarded for). I'm not saying KU is a Top 10 team at the moment but we are trending up and the metrics are not catching that sudden change (besides Kenpom) it looks.
Good points. I guess we will all be in wait and see mode when they announce the seeds. I thought Margin of Victory was capped at 10? I guess I'm still a little bit behind on this but I didn't think KU would be getting hosed at #18 either for weeks now. Like you said nobody has played a better schedule, nobody has beaten more Quadrant 1 teams and the efficiency models put KU in the Top 30 both Offense/Defense. So I'm really missing what's holding us back. Can it really be the overvaluing of margin of victory?
Certainly the numbers can't account for a team on the upswing and gaining chemistry. I know the last 3 opponents haven't been great but we all know what we are seeing post Vick. I don't know what is holding KU back at #18 but I don't think its accurate.
I'd rather root for Kansas St then have Lamelo and the joke show dad on this team. I'm not worried anyway hes not clearing eligibility anyway after profiting from shoes
No way Jose
When I didn't understand or want to continue fighting a topic with him I just let it go. I miss his novels though and the outside the box stuff. I felt like you just had to take what he said with a grain of salt and leave personal feelings out of it. I found it easier to enjoy what he brought to this site that way. Definitely is missed..
I guess in the game Saturday. They have been vague about his injury or severity
I just assumed him being in a boot would lead to a doubtful designation but I guess we will see if that's premature
K-St could be down two important starters going forward. Wade and Stokes are unlikely to play in their game at West Virginia tonight.
I just want to win Saturday and Monday. I'm just not worried about 15 yet. We control our fate over the next 5 games if we win out.
But I'd love to pound Tech in their gym and get revenge on K-St at home in a 48 hour span. If this team pulls out both wins its going to be exciting times.
Certainly attainable by winning out, both regular season and Big-12 champs.
KU moved up a few places in Kenpom to 15. Offense- #27, Defense #12.
No idea if they will make any movement in the NET when that comes out (they were 18th) coming into this week.
Huge injury for Izzo. Nick Ward out with Hand injury for Michigan St. Hairline fracture in his shooting hand. They are already down Josh Langford for the season. Ouch. Pretty much the equivalent of Doke going down late last year with the knee
Fuck you espn
