heard this was going up in the Rafters at Kansas St's next home game. Next year they can add to it.
The youngest brother scored 92. The middle brother is resting for State Playoffs.
Neither are as good as Lonzo but they put up ridiculous numbers
Definitely, Allen and Andrew Jones are NBA players. Jones has been playing at a high level and has been the biggest difference maker for them.
Shaka has found the only way to keep competitive is to slow the game down and rely on his defense. They would have never lasted in an up and down tempo
Chris Smith taking an official visit to UCLA.
Will have to pay attention to him after if he doesn't schedule other visits..
I have caught a few of his games this year and he's electric. The game winner he had the other night was a typical performance from him. Has some toughness and flair to him. He rebounds and passes the ball as well so its not like he's getting 30 a night because he's Kobe'sque shooting every night. He's shooting 47% from the field on 21 fg attempts per game.
He would be the most sought after transfer if he does go that way. It would be interesting to see how he transferred his ability to a Power 5 school though. Illinois is the best team they have played all year which isn't saying much for his competition.
A really good breakdown.
They are definitely not the same player and its always great to find ways to differentiate that point
I always like to point out that Josh is a year older then Andrew was when they were both freshman because I think Josh being 19 has been a major advantage for him here. He's basically a College Sophomore and when you combine his character and mindset you get what we see on the court every day.
Oklahoma St gets a visit as well. I love how OU people forget they are involved
I expected them to lose.
The volatility of ISU is why they are a bubble tournament team. Obviously the KU win gives them a major edge over most bubble teams but if you can't beat Texas how do you belong in March. They have 9 losses now and it seems a given they will have 12-13 by selection time..
JINX!!
He was 3-11 from the field at one point, maybe that was when he made that comment.
Regardless fran is the biggest piece of crap on espn
Really good points.
I think the most frustrating part of watching Devonte is seeing the inconsistency in his production. He tends to be really involved early in games and when he's on he is phenomenal but some games he has long scoring droughts to the point where you forget he's even out there. I think that has been unexpected especially after we saw him carry this team during some games last yr.
My other point is he forgets to be aggressive to the hoop. Graham has great vision and sometimes settles for that jumper too much. Again I think sometimes we are just not seeing his full game and he's settled into a role. I would love to see him drive and draw fouls or drive and dish or finish because he's been good at the rim when he is aggressive. Not to take away what he's giving us, I just feel like he can give us more.
Having seen the Duke board mention Marcus Keene as a possible grad transfer guard, got me thinking KU would definitely throw their hat after him. Can't imagine he stays where he is, either leaving for the NBA or grad transferring. 30 point scorers don't grow on tree's. Would be an interesting get if all available options fail..
I agree that a lot of it will come down to what happens from now until Early March. Last year they announced the award before the Elite 8 as the voting commences during the opening rounds of the Tournament.
I would say he's definitely at the top with Hart and maybe getting more favoritism as of late. It's going to be hard to beat the East Coast media darling on the defending national champions. Both are deserving of the award at this point.
wasn't it last year where Weber was playing defense on one of our players on the court?
I swear there's a photo of that somewhere
I probably should add these as well.
Shoe-in for 1st team All Big-12, Big-12 POY, 1st team All American, Bob Cousy Award etc. Hopefully we can add some more
Just how amazing has his season been?
13, 20 point games.
Who would have ever thought he would average 20 points a game? Incredible
On the verge of becoming the 1st Big-12 player to avg 20 + 5 assists a game.
Possible front-runner for POY.
14th place on the All-Time Scoring Record with 1,622 points. He still has at least 10 games left in his career, 17 if all goes as planned.
What else am I missing?
No matter what happens he'll go down as one of my favorite hawks ever!
Definitely, because of the lack of real knowledge half the time its just senseless rumors. Especially the recruitment's that drag on for an entire cycle.
Some really do put off committing just so they can get the exposure. Who wouldn't take 5 free visits if your 17-18 and will get the royal carpet everywhere you go. And now your parents can accompany you as well with no expense to them. Kids/Parents never had it so good.
Trevon Duval is the perfect example of taking his free visits, heck he saw an epic game last week against Baylor.
Very good point. And the 10% we get is 10% more then we were getting even 10 years ago. I remember when we knew what kids were on the team when we saw the first game played and saw someone we didn't recognize. Times have changed dramatically. Every little move these top kids make is interpreted in 50 ways.
We'll see what happens, all the heavy hitters after him. I imagine KU has kept contact by default because of their interest in Barrett. Might be one we are making progress with behind the scenes and we certainly have the Diallo/Udoka angle to work with him being from Angola. Seems like we are seeing more guys mentioning interest from KU that were thought to not even be on the radar.
Zagsblog
De Sousa, a native of Angola, listed Louisville, Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky as the schools working the hardest.
Thanks just saw it, not even fricking close!
Yeah they missed that one. I'd have to go back and see if he was or not?
Definitely he had his feet set for at least 2 seconds, all Josh could do was laugh that's how bad it was
Definitely should I keep going?
I do want to note that without KU's ability to draw fouls in the last 6 or so minutes the victory might not have happened. It was what 7-1 foul disparity at one point and then KSU had 5 straight calls against them so as lopsided as the calls were we definitely got a momentum swing from that standpoint
Not sure on that but we have to be careful about reclassification's. Sometimes you can pressure a kid to move up a class and he's just not ready for College Ball. Thornton of Duke is an excellent example of this very thing. And in the position that KU is in, in desperate need of a top flight PG you risk ruining the players development and the team as well.
Dotson just from video would seem the more ready of the 2 to move up. The more I watch of him the more I think he's underrated. I'm sure Lewis is one of those options they would look to if they missed on others. The problem with that scenario is other teams prioritize and KU loses out by chasing bigger fish.
A side not to 2018 KU is actively in it for Silvio de Sousa a top 20 6'8 big from Montverde. That is something I didn't think would happen. De Sousa is a top flight PF with some really nice offensive skill. Shittu, Sousa & Emmitt Williams are very good targets to keep after
Also the 3 Frank supposedly fouled Sneed, total acting job, or Josh's 4th foul 90 feet from the hoop. Phantom jokes
No problem.
To further elaborate about Lewis he plays for a very good HS team in Georgia
5 kids on the team will be D-1 including one that is Top 100 signed with Auburn this year. His brother also plays and is signed to UCF (Central Florida) so that could play a part in his recruitment.. He is getting interest from a lot of good schools.
Lewis has not played much this year battling ankle and shoulder injury but it looks like he'll be back for the state playoffs where his team goes for its 4th straight title.
Lewis is 6'2 180ish with a very good 3 point shot. Not an above the rim type so he's going to be in College 4 years. Nice floater and can get into the lane, not exceptionally quick, good vision for a PG.
Dotson is better, but I would never turn down either.
2018
The rules are tainted in Manhattan. He's good for KSU, ensures they never win a thing
Pass ME the ball i'm open!!
7, wow they really are getting good at it. Good thing it helps them win
Bruce Weber says K-State beat KU on the play-hard chart for a second time this year.
The play hard chart??
HAHAHA. That's a good one
Is anyone on the team more maddening then Svi?
Practically begged Wade to shoot that open 3 to tie the game. Comes down the court JJ composes himself under the basket, rifle's a pass to an open Svi who cans the 3 to put us back up. Play of the game IMO. Mason was terrific down the stretch and Landen really bothered/played aggressive defense in the paint. Guys put their big boy pants on.
Anyways just wanted to give Svi a huge shotout. That's now 2 games against KSU where he gave them the dagger
Can we start a petition to get this idiot removed from Big-12 games?
Go smurf yourself fran
Huge win
Lol if you want to score just find svi
Landen!!!
Here comes a 3
Vick hasn't missed a FT in conference play but apparently self doesn't know that
What are you doing
Mason!!!
Good thing svi made that because he deserved the bench
Poy
Pathetic just pathetic
We've seen this scenario before jj goes to theat line in a close game under 4.. when was that oh yeah it was saturday
Bricks coming
Why not throw a prayer
