@jaybate-1.0 how feasible is this solution: 6 refs per Game. 3 on each half. More eyes, less chance for group corruption due to whistle blowing.

I don't watch any television shows or sitcoms. I take my beautiful wife to a movie once a month for a date, and that's about all the screen time I can handle. I just read. And I watch college basketball from November until April. I quit watching WWF when I learned it was scripted at six years old. Now, I'm faced with the same decision with College BBall. It's a sad day for me. At least I can read more.

By the box score, it appears wisconsin got more of the fouls calls...shooting 20 some ft to 10 by UK. But following on KU Buckets, it seemed like the whistles were an advantage for the Cats.

@jaybate-1.0 it will be a new challenge for Smart to get the high elite, one-year players to buy Into his defensive based coaching philosophy, imho. These kids want a one year pit stop to showcase offense. That being said, Cal seemed to get this group to buy into defense.

@approxinfinity I don't disagree it was a huge step forward for VCU. But I'm simply saying 1. He will be middle of the pack in the big 12 2. Marshall was clearly a better choice.

Shaka will be mediocre at Texas. Might win 65% of his games. They should have gone all in on Marshall.

I'd prefer 3-4 year guys ranked 40-80 as long as Self continues to adjust his offensive scheme. It isn't working for kids who can't learn it in a year.

@ralster Didn't hear that. He can coach in the NBA, imho. I also believe he demonstrated to Self that his coaching fits the college game, but not the ever-morphing roster of an NBA team. The reality is (so far) that Self's SYSTEM is what works. Would love to keep Hoiberg in the league.

And Texas is just damn crazy if they are not all in on Greg Marshall.

@jaybate-1.0 did you see the duke game last night ? Ref called a foul with 7 tenths of a second remaining and the score beat the spread by one point after a made free throw. Noteworthy.

@VoyagingJayhawk I respect your opinion. This is such a divisive topic, that will likely never have all truths publicly revealed. I've read thousands of pages of literature on the subject, and have come to my own strong opinion just as you have. The important thing to me is that as long as it's not resolved I keep an open mind to both sides of it.
