@drgnslayr I just can't get it in my head a 16-17 year old can compete his first year at a D1. In watching some of the tapes, it looked like jr high teams. He's gotta be awesome, I trust Self, just need to see him play at this level to believe it.
@ralster I have no idea! But, wouldn't it be awesome for Haase to teach D and hustle to our young kids?

@Wigs2 there's a new video on u tube from josh Selby. It was leading up to that tournament where FOE just got beat out first round. They only had 4 players. He was wanting to showcase himself, hopeful for a return to the NBA. Maybe his luck will change! To bad a kid can't go back(college) if he can't make it!
@Wigs2 considering the alternative, I wish it could have happened. Somebody was pushing him for the big pay off. Makes me sad!
@HighEliteMajor I think it sucks! And I yell and scream the whole game on my top row! I'm on the students side. We gave our worthless women's coach a raise, there's a great deal of that money. Just my opinion!
@icthawkfan316 I also love Mari, the same way I think of Trob and Ben! Mari surprised me last year, hope he continues to improve. I loved the hustle when Tarik and Mari played together. Looking for the same thing w/Mari and Cliff. Time to move on from the Stanford game!

Update on some Jhawks
Former Jayhawks Mario Little and Josh Selby and Team FOE were not able to pull out a win against Sideline Cancer. With only 4 players active on their roster Team FOE fell 99-106 despite Selby scoring 44 points on 13-28 shooting. Mario Little finished with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.

@Wigs2 we've had quite a few kids that were down on their luck, and yet their moms and Cole's dad moved here and found jobs to get them thru till their kids were ready for the NBA, or overseas ball. I really hope Selby can turn things around, Sherron too.
@wrwlumpy guessing if this is true, they will let him retire.
@JayhawkRock78 I'd imagine coach Self would rather the students be there too! KU athletics usually does everything to please Self, surprised this got by him!

@icthawkfan316 one game, late last year, Greene did play the 4. Not sure who the 5 man was, but it could have been Mari. Just remember Greene said afterward that they had practiced it a little that week. That would be a great pressing group. I'm anxious to see Alexander and Mari play together.

@drgnslayr perhaps if Perry lived in some cars in the winters of Chicago, would make a difference! Heard quite a few past players were back in town to scrimmage us. A little playground action?
@HawkInMizery sounds like a fun honeymoon! If Mario had a chance w/ a different team, better offer, would he want it? I give him more props than others here, would love to see if he could help carry a team, more than he is allowed now.

I have often wondered if Mario was happy there. I hate they way he's treated, but maybe the rings are worth it?? Not a bad place to live either.

couple pts, the guys that don't recruit well, would get considerably better just being at KU. And, does anyone think SZ could find that coach for us? Scares me! His whole worth is attached to KU bb, he's attached at the hip to Coach Self.
The only thing good I can say about Marshall is that he has hard-working kids!

@jaybate 1.0 I thought about this same thing, many times. I think Cole's dad lost his job and moved down here. Pretty sure Tyshawn's mom and sister, Kevin Young's mom and bro lived here too. I wondered about Ben's mom, was she responsible for a lot of family members? Did she want to stay close to Bens dad? Was she capable of working? Don't know! I know Ben deserved to stay in college!
