FAU has very balanced offense. Very effective big. Can shoot 3s. And, can penetrate off the dribble...

Totally agree. Good for the conference, good for Kansas (the state). KSU will always have an inferiority complex, and understandably so, but give them their moment in the klieg lights.
And it was one helluva game and Nowell was otherworldly...
KSU had control of the game and didn't execute well in the last 2 minutes...

Refs not to blame for this game. We gave up 45 points in the second half. We missed FTs (esp. front-ends) and they made theirs. RBs were even at the half - they dominated in the 2d half, esp. with ORBs - ended up with 10 more shots. 3 TOs on Udeh's illegal screens. End of half and late game execution was not typical - hate to lay that on coaching, but....there is a reason HCBS has the record he does in games decided by less than 5 points. Adds up to a loss in a game that was eminently winnable, even if not playing that well...
Seriously, multiple times with Bobby "trying" to execute an end of shot clock play - literally anyone else...

Wow. Tennessee played its best game in awhile. Impressive defensive showing. SEC has been dominant so far. Let's hope that doesn't extend to the next game.... ;)

Ok so the selection commitee has Duke as a 5 seed and Tennessee as the 4, but odds makers have Duke as a 4 pt favorite. I guess we'll see who's right.
And, KU is the slimmest favorite (-3.5) as a #1 seed in the 2nd round - ever...I guess we'll see on that one, as well...
FDU was 20-15 coming into the game. Their best win all year was........actually they didn't have a single good win. Only P5 school they played was Pitt and they lost by 22. Pretty remarkable...
So, the B12 is just 3-2 right now. SEC, B10 and Big East all have much better showings so far... We'll see what the evening session brings...
We complain about our bench production (or lack thereof) - ISU's was 0-10, but contributed 5 TOs and 10 fouls...

This might be the most inept offensive showing in the history of the tourney. 11-54. 1-17 from 3. Under 50% on FTs. But they have 4 minutes to turn it around...
ISU may not reach 40 points...

I get rooting for the Gauchos - I love the double-digit seeds - but tough to argue on one hand that KU had the toughest schedule in the country and no nights off if the B12 lays an egg in the first round...
For the sake of conference rep, Baylor needs to win a couple of games...
Don't know whether Baylor will end up winning or not, but they look way over-seeded. UCSB actually looks like the better team at this point...

Other than LSU, none of those are bad losses - although losses all the same. SEC was very strong yesterday - 4 -1. We aren't nearly as rangy and athletic, but we are better if we play well. So, need to defend, take care of the ball, and make some shots. Hopefully, experience wins out...
