Where I was, there were scattered clouds and some showers nearby, although we just had a few sprinkles. I was able to take some unfiltered photos through the thinner clouds. It clouded over just before totality, but we had amazingly spectacular 360 degree sunset on a little hill NE of Hiawatha right on the center line.
Cool experience and a fun day -- got to see a part of Kansas I hadn't been to before, met a handful of other nice people who picked out the same spot on the map, had a nice picnic, and spent the day with my mom and sister (and my dog!).
I'll see totality 36 minutes before you do @mayjay . I'm going to be near a cemetery in the middle of nowhere. If I see zombies, I'll try to send you a message while fleeing through the corn fields.

Hoping for clear skies, but it's been a wet freaky August in KS.
I'm heading north from Lawrence to a spot in the center line of totality on Monday. If I seem weird after that, it's my body snatcher talking.
What was Lunardi's final accuracy last year. 12% bracket picks right (or something like that)? I don't believe anything this guy says is worth talking about literally up to the moment the brackets are revealed.

My wife (Royals fan) was visiting her mother in Missouri (her mom is a Cardinals fan, along with her two brothers, two sisters, nieces nephews etc.) during the four-game stretch. They're all Mizzou fans too. I grew up in Illinois, so I've been a Cubs fan for half my life and followed the Royals for the other half (my AL team) when we moved to Lawrence in 1990.
So after four days of watching games with my mother-in-law, my wife FINALLY understands what I've been telling her about Cardinal fans for the past 30 years -- sore losers, but even more insufferable winners.

@mayjay Late in replying.... We were planning to go last summer but my dad passed away and we bailed on the trip. My wife and I might go next year for our 30th anniversary, but nothing definite planned yet. March or July ish

@brooksmd Thanks! I didn't see that sidebar thing yesterday, but they had the replay at the top of the main page, so I was able to watch the parts I missed during the live stream.
I paused the live stream today in the 2nd quarter, but when I unpaused it 45 minutes later, the game was well into the third quarter. Not sure how that happened, but now I'll have to go back and watch that little stretch.
