On the bright side, it routinely gets basic facts wrong. I asked it to write a literature review and give me some citations. The articles it cited and the organizations who allegedly wrote the reports simply didn’t exist. It does well for simpler things but doesn’t do well at all for any kind of analytic thinking

Was hoping for a better game. It was really offensive the zebras let some basketball break out between foul calls. The T on Clark was spectacularly terrible

@cragarhawk Helms have to be, unless pre-BCS football titles also don’t count. I guess if we’re just looking at post-1990 there’s an argument but UConn only has 6 Final Fours. Ever. We have 16. To me there’s not really a case for UConn even if they win it all.

Yep. Almost went there for my master’s and I lived in DC for awhile. That area is crazy nice. The campus is beautiful and DC has a ton of basketball talent.
Georgetown is a sleeping giant. That whole university has a lot of built in advantages

@jayballer67 it's been awhile now. 15 years or so. Too many HS kids were entering on bad advice and never amounting to much. NBA GMs basically told the union to save them from themselves. The union was happy because it meant more veterans could hang onto their jobs.
the NBA and union have tabled the minimum age thing, so OAD will continue for the foreseeable future

@BShark I think the TL is off there a bit. Remy didn't enter the portal until mid-May, didn't withdraw from the draft until July. McCullar was on a similar timeline. So we might be waiting awhile for the biggest fish.
Caveat being it’s a little different calendar last year but our portal stuff didn’t really heat up until May last year. It’ll be a little quicker this year since the calendar is different and we have more spots to fill buuut things will drag out for another month or so. Namaste

Scheierman‘s numbers went way down too. I think people underestimate how big a jump it is from a mid to high major. One of my offseason projects is looking at how big a drop you can actually expect. A mid major conference player of the year is at best a decent starter at a place like KU
