Does anyone know when tickets generally go on sale for games in the Sprint Center?
I'm attending my first Jayhawk game December 14th (bummed its not in Allen) but falls on the same weekend as a Chiefs/Broncos game which I'm also going to. Just wondering if anyone knows when they typically go on sale, trying to plan ahead!
I don't, but I also wouldn't worry too much. I went to the Sprint Center game last year and it wasn't even close to sold out.
I got tickets to the Champions Classic again this year... I do still need to get plain tickets though. I need to quit pushing that off.

@Kcmatt7 100% agree. We all complained for years that we couldn't get channels a la carte but now we basically can for a cheaper price, and you can split costs like you said. I split my Netflix, Prime, and ESPN+ accounts with my sister so we get all that for less than $20/month. I have my own YouTube TV sub for $45. So $60/month gets me all the sports channels I want (sans NFL Network, but meh), all the cool stuff Netflix is doing, and Prime video. My internet is slightly more expensive than it was when I bundled it with cable but on net I'm saving about $30/month and getting better stuff to watch.
Yea sort of funny imo. A lot of complaining on twitter about it... I spend less than $60 a month for internet and basically anything I want to watch on TV. Really hard to complain.
Texas Hawk 10 said:
@Kcmatt7 The other cost involved in that is an internet provider. Depending on those options and deals people have, streaming is not guaranteed to be cheaper at this point for everyone.
My mom still has a bundle deal with Comcast because that's still cheaper for what she needs at this point than dropping cable.
If I factor in my internet, I'm paying about $60 for internet, $60 for PSVue (whatever the tier below the premium movie channel tier is called), half of whatever the middle tier is for Netflix, $5 for ESPN+, and nothing for Hulu because that's a free add on from my Spotify subscription. I'm paying between $130-140 per month including internet so not bad. My mom has about 100 more channels than me and is paying about $150 per month including internet.
I get quality internet for $30/mo from Spectrum and then I split most of the subs I listed above between 4 households. So, in my case, it's impossible to find a cheaper bundle.
But I could see how some would still get a better deal from a bundle.
This is the way TV is going. In my opinion, it's a good thing. I only pay for what I watch and it's so much cheaper. I get local channels on an antenna. And I get everything else streamed. In my opinion, it's better.
You can get all that for $112. Which is what it costs for the middle-tier of DirecTV. Fiber TV is $90 a month and doesn't offer near as many channels.
If you're smart, you split all of those subscriptions with friends and pay $30-40 a month.

Pooka should have left after last season if he was smart. Eligibility-wise.

@Kcmatt7 Keep lying to yourself because you're pissed off.
If you want to keep claiming I'm making excuses, then go ahead and ignore the multiple times I've already said this is a bad loss due to not having a QB.
Itâs a dogshit, unacceptable, shitty, terrible, joke of a loss to a school we should never lose to even in our darkest of times.
Trying to bring up that theyâre a 3rd rate conference instead of a 4th is trying to soften how bad of a loss it is.
Texas Hawk 10 said:
@Kcmatt7 It's not semantics because the Sun Belt is an FBS conference and has won plenty of FBS bowl games. The conference has even had plenty of huge upsets much bigger than tonight's game.
There's nobody trying to claim this isn't a bad loss, but this wasn't a loss to an FCS school.
It is the equivalent. Tell yourself whatever you want. This is exactly the loss Les needed to avoid this season.
Texas Hawk 10 said:
@Kcmatt7 Coastal isn't FCS any more, they've been FBS for 3 years now and are a member of the Sun Belt.
It doesnât even matter. Semantics. Sun Belt will never compete in an FBS bowl game. Might as well be FCS.
You canât lose this game. Period. Make up whatever excuses you want.

@Kcmatt7 Lawrence didn't begin the season as the starting QB though last season for Clemson, Kelly Bryant started the season at QB. Similar deal with Hurts and Tua and Bama. Tua didn't play much his freshman year until the very end when he won the job.
Not similar. Hurts played all season until the very last quarter of the NC.
Lawrence played every other series to start last season. Dabo was just nice enough to let Bryant try to win the job.
I gamble a lot, and Clemson is a good bet. So I watch them a lot.

@Kcmatt7 He was a big factor in the loss, 2 picks, one with at least 10 yards of running in front of him. Not having a kicker was costly as well. @Texas-Hawk-10 I agree man, I'm just ticked because we should've won tonight.
Yea I followed along as much as I could (at a wedding). The guy just doesnât have the zip. Iâve legitimately seen better QB play at the NAIA level.
You should put up more than 12 points on a D1AA team. Defense could be better, but 7 points is a F-ING joke
You cant lose this game. This loss alone loses 5 recruits. And Iâll eat my words if Iâm not right. This program is toxic until they win some mf games. I didnât get to watch a snap, but Stanley shouldnât have ever started. Locking should have been the guy from day 1. The âhe couldnât handle itâ excise is tired when you see freshman succeed all over the country. Freshman won a NC last season.
Start the better player.

That was a rough opener....
Although I don't know what they NFL expected. Love that rivalry, but that is a Sunday Night game. Not the electric start you're looking for to get the season going.
I Really wasn't surprised with Green Bays offense this game to be perfectly honest. - - Your going against one of the leagues toughest Defense in the league. - -I knew they would struggle, so really no surprise there Aaron or no Aaron.
!st year coach for the Pack - - First live action Aaron has had this year - - not 1 snap in the pre season - - -New Offense - -that will get better. - -BUT their defense matched Chicago down for down - both was very , very good. - -Out of Chicago 65 offensive plays - -they had THREE - - THREE
Right. I mean the game was intense. I just thought there were better matchups to open the season. Steelers and Pats. Saints and Texans. Panthers and Rams.
Just so that we'd see some scoring and some big plays.

@Kcmatt7 probably because instead of starting for the Chiefs (admittedly a dumpster fire at the time) he chose to be a backup in Dallas. But I didnât bring him up and actually wanted him back for another year in KC. It wouldâve been better than what they got.
He did his job perfectly.
He played well enough that he got Romeo hired. Caused them to be so bad next year that we got Romeo fired and were able to go get Andy. (Also we landed Kelce in that 2013 draft with Fisher).
Think about that for a second @BShark...
Also Alex Smith was good here. Andy was a big reason, but Alex was good.

No, but he just gets weirdly dumped on by KC fans, imo. Like lumping him in with Thigpen is just such an insult to the man and he isn't even able to defend himself lol.

Well, gives us a bad look - - - - A KU Linebacker ( Thomas Barrett ) from Cleveland was Arrested at the Hawk around 12:30 Saturday /Sunday Morning. As of Monday no Charges had been filed. Posted bond a couple of hours later - -1,500 bond.
Thing I don't get - - he is scheduled for a Sept 17th hearing court appearance - - -if no charges had been filed - -why the 17th Court appearance?
He was arrested on Suspicion of Contributing to a child's misconduct and displaying or possessing a fictitious or fraudulent ID card.
Was on Big 12's Commissioners Honor roll and the Athletic Directors Honor Roll this past spring - - Mercy
Meh. Seen a lot of people have issues at the Hawk lol.

@Kcmatt7 Here's breakdown of the KC backfield. Thompson is getting all of the goal line carries, and is taking half the snaps with the first team the last two weeks.

I stand by my statement. I think Thompson will do most of his work in 2-minute and 3rd down situations. He'll see 9-10 touches a game.

If they get Sproles impact out of a sixth round guy that would be pretty okay.
I mostly mean usage. I donât know if he ever becomes sproles. But I do like his skill set
Thompson will be good. I do think his size will limit his touches. Similar to how Darren Sproles career was extended because he was basically only a 3rd down back his entire career.
You knew he couldnât handle 20 touches a game. But he could handle 10 and theyâd all be explosive touches.
1-0
Yea they have to just put the best athlete back there even if it limits play calling

Iowa State struggling against UNI
Wow. I thought it was a TD
Safe to say we need to work on our screen game...
Or drop it for awhile. Teams will key on that knowing Stanley doesnât have the arm to convert a lot of 3rd and longs
At least from what Iâve seen. I didnât flip it on until halfway through the first
Special teams coverage has been very good
Carter Stanley suuuuucks

I've never been a huge fan of the 3-4 or any 3 man front on defense. Too easy to open up running lanes to me.
Hard on the linebackers. You better have thumpers to run it well
That puts us at 34th in recruiting rankings... it wonât hold, but somewhere around #50 seems likely
Youâre never done recruiting in football. Bill said in the documentary.
âCommitments donât mean anythingâ
Idk what the attendance will be.
But I do think we'll see a big win. 48-14. Something along those lines.
This is so damn good!

@Kcmatt7 A possibility....but I'd doubt the AAA teams would be comfortable with it (and if they didn't have AAA already, I would doubt the market would be large enough to support the Royals for even a partial schedule).
I think it would be more up to whoever owns the stadium. And my guess is theyâd love to see the Royals play while the minor league club is out of town. Thatâs just extra revenue.
Memphis, OKC and Little Rock are all good enough TV markets that if you could add them in would generate revenue.
Itâs more about TV dollars than anything else.
Saw a couple twitter highlights. Looks pretty athletic.
I do think you could see a new trend though, where the teams have 2-3 host cities. Depends on what happens with the Rays.
I'd be interested to see what TV money the Royals could get if they played 1/2 of their games in KC, 1/4 in OKC and 1/4 in Memphis/Nashville/Little Rock.
Seems like that is the way of the future for small market teams.

I guess the KC tv market is #32, there aren't many bigger markets that don't have a team:

KC is a good market with a loyal fanbase. I don't see it leaving. Royals lease is until 2031. That would be the earliest I'd expect to see them leave.
I think it's more likely that you see the Royals move to downtown or the Legends area than actually change cities when the lease is up.
As far as spending to be competitive, I think we just need an owner willing to be at the forefront of analytics in all aspects of the game. The Rays, since '08, have a winning record. The A's have been doing well on nothing payrolls for 19 years.
This was fantastic news. I'm still in shock tbh. I thought Glass would pass this down in his family.
I liked KK's tape a lot.... Would not be upset.
Crazy the staff didn't know about RJ going overseas until late.
I hope they see him as the future at QB after MacVittie. If not, they need to move him to WR or S. Guy is an athlete.
