Nova, FSU, WVU losing today helps KU's chances at getting a better seed. Hoping Illinois beats Ohio St as well for that reason.

But Kansas with 12 wins and a better %. I believe we are locked in as the 2-seed now.

I question whether Fran has watched ISU, KSU, or TCU play this season after that statement. Don't let it bother you too much; Kansas played very well, especially defensively against Baylor.

West Virginia also didn't lose this week.

Right now, Illinois or West Virginia would be my choice for the last 1-seed, particularly if either wins on Tuesday (Illinois plays Michigan, West Virginia plays Baylor). If I were seeding I'd probably go something like:

1's - Gonzaga, Michigan, Baylor, Illinois

2's - West Virginia, Ohio St, Alabama, Villanova

But it's all going to change in the next few weeks so

Edit: Maybe swap Iowa for Villanova on the 2-line.

Don't think Ohio St is going to stay a 1-seed after losing 3 in a row and being blown out by Iowa today. There will be a lot of make-up games this week and seeds are going to move around. If Kansas takes care of UTEP and wins at least 1 game in the B12 tournament I think they'll be a 3-seed. Winning one game in the B12 tournament probably won't be easy though (if the tournament started today our first game would be against Texas). Long shot at a 2-seed if we win out and the teams ahead of us lose.

Gonzaga's very good, but tonight is an example of the benefit (in terms of W/L) of playing in the WCC. Gonzaga can take games off against teams like Loyola Marymount and still win.

We should have beaten Texas too, but this win helps me forget. Happy to go 2/3 against Baylor, Texas, and Tech
