@JayHawkFanToo the website ate my post. Here is what I tried to say.

@JayHawkFanToo Ehhhhhhh, I disagree. We did make it further in the Big 12 tourney than we did last year based on toughness alone. But, how injured KU is right now and how bad they are on offense right now will almost guarantee a loss in the first weekend for us.

Everyone here should temper their expectations for KU in the NCAA's this year. By all means root for our boys, I sure will. But, I cannot realistically pick KU to make it to the sweet 16 this year. I just can't. That said, I hope against hope that I am wrong.

@Blown Absolutely it does. Thats why the Big 12 is so hard to win. Each team has to play each other twice, scout each other and watch tape on each other many times. Whats that phrase about repetition?

Really, it doesnt matter which division KU gets placed as a 2 seed. Especially if they dont play well the first weekend in a semi home environment at Omaha. Im not really going to hold my breath for that. Im just going to enjoy these last few weeks of college basketball.

@joeloveshawks Agreed. Even though I took yesterdays loss pretty hard, as did most of us on here, I really believe this sport is the best out there and I love The Madness! Every year.

@HighEliteMajor Good post again HEM. One question. Could another reason for our precipitous drop in 3pt efficiency be attributed to injury? We have Oubre, Selden, Mason, Perry,Greene and Devonte, all of them dinged up. Some more, some less but all of them injured or recovering from injuries.

@jaybate-1.0 Here I go again with my manic opinions. KU is officially cooked. The whole team is injured and now every team will have tape of ISU beating KU at its own game. The whole team is injured. Landen, Perry, Oubre, Selden, Mason, Devonte, Greene, Traylor. They are all nicked up. I just dont see how they can win their first game. They have 5 days to prep and heal. Five. This is seriously bad. We dont have our trey guns, we dont have our legs, we cant beat a team playing us our own way, much the less their way.
Gloom and doom, gloom and doom. Time to cut losses and focus on being much much better next season.

@Crimsonorblue22 For real! Massage, physical therapy, ultrasound vibration therapy, there are loads of other things KUs staff can do.

Someone tell me what happened to Oubre? Why did he have such a quiet night? Was it because shots werent falling and ISU packed in to prevent drives?

@DoubleDD Man, from before the tip I thought KU stood a good chance of getting beat by ISU, then they went up by 16 and I got giddy for a trophy. Major bummer, I dont know why seeing as though I thought from the beginning KU might lose this one.

Depending on where KU gets placed as a 2 seed, they still have a good chance at a sweet 16 showing this month.

@jaybate-1.0 I havent looked at Kenpom for a long time. In fact, I have purposely ignored it this year. But I just looked at our stats. Apparently KU is back in the top 10 on Defense Eff. ( #9)
Not surprising, our offense eff is #31. ISU is basically the exact opposite of us. Super good on Offense and not tops in Defense eff. Maybe that plays in our favor?

@drgnslayr I said I thought we were gonna lose to Baylor yesterday and that worked out well for us. I think I should continue that trend by saying ISU beats us tonight.

@Bosthawk Another thought. UK is playing second tier teams in a second tier conference. They would not look so hot against the best of the best in the ACC, Big10 or Big 12.

@Crimsonorblue22 KU has a 2 seed in the NCAA's regardless of what happens today, it just might give them a higher 2 seed with a win. Today's game is a bit of revenge with some icing on top if KU wins it.

@jaybate-1.0 I havent believed it myself until now. But, I think we can beat ISU tomorrow. If Perry is able to hold his own and be ok, not healed, just ok and our trey guns can shoot better. I think we can win. I think KU has a fair chance to win. They will absolutely be underdogs in the vegas odds. Thats cool. I hope KU knows this and hears that everyone thinks they can't win. It gives them fuel. It makes them mad. An injured opponent that is mad and on the defensive? Bad news bears man.

@VailHawk Seriously, IF KU actually makes it that far and plays UK, either in the elite 8, or FF or Championship game. We play BAD BALL and win the disruption stats like Jaybate says. KU is tougher than UK now. They can take major hits and keep on going. KU can beat UK

@jaybate-1.0 My sentiments exactly! I dont know where the ISU game tomorrow stands on the march to Myitkyina but man its gonna be tough to the Nth degree. Tough to the 10th power. KU is tougher and has a deeper bench than ISU. I honestly though the final game would be OU Vs BU. I was wrong. I hope I am wrong in my rather nervous thoughts about tomorrows game too.

@Jayrawks1 Nah, no way he is 100% Never said that. But he has access to some of the best trainers in the bizz and Im confident in KU medicine and rehab. This is completely different but I tore my rotator cuff and bicep tendon, twice. The time I had to spend rehabbing my shoulder was a few months with a physical therapist. I am not a pro athelete or 21 years old. Perry is and he will recover from this weeks faster than any normal person could. He didnt tear anything, he just had it hyperextended.
I know he wont be 100% until summer time but the KU staff will have him ready to play well enough thru March if it is possible to get him there.

@Hawk8086 I doubt that Perry would be spinning on a healthy knee. Teams are scouting his spin move and denying it. He wont do it injured.

@DanR Rock N Roll! Perry wont be doing any spin moves but I bet he'll at least be able to drive it like 90% normal. Hope he can get his average boards too. Now all we need is our trey guns back and a crappy normal coaching job from Scotty Drew to play the winner of OU/ISU

I was wrong when I said KU would not win #11 playing the way they have been playing. Im glad I was wrong and I hope we all continue to be wrong when KU wins 3-4 games in the NCAA's with a healthy Perry.
I sort of hope that Cliff doesnt come back because Lucas and Mickelson have proven us all wrong and really really stepped up, big time!

@RockChalkinTexas So far I picked 3 out of 4 right. TCU over Kstate, Tx over Tech, BU over WVU, But I picked ISU over Tx... looks like Im 4 for 4!

I had picked Baylor beating us tomorrow and OU beating ISU.
Then OU beating Baylor for the tourney title.

I hope Im wrong. ISU and Baylor are both really playing well. We Need Perry! We Need our trey guns back!
