Have been busy with the construction of my new solarium💪and then Mike's sister and her son and d-in-law came for my birthday and Thanksgiving. Then putting up 🌲 and girls turn 35 Saturday 👭. Enjoying temperatures in the 80s and hauling pea gravel to behind the new solarium. And it's wet. And heavy. May miss border war conversation

Sad to hear this. I dated Clint when I was a senior and he was a junior (GASP) and I think I may have told you about attending every home game during 74-75 season because of Clint. It was, as they say, a complicated time in race relations.

🏀 Former Kansas Guard Clint Johnson Dies
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Former Kansas men’s basketball guard Clint Johnson died Nov. 16, 2022 at his home in Livermore, California. Johnson was 66 years old.
A native of Leavenworth, Kansas, Johnson played at Kansas from 1974-75 to 1977-78 and started 87 of 108 games played under head coach Ted Owens. While at KU, Johnson’s teams won two Big Eight Holiday Tournaments, in 1974 and 1977, and one Big Eight regular-season title in 1978. The 1978 squad was later inducted into the Kansas Athletics Hall of Fame.
Johnson averaged 8.8 points for his career and accumulated 225 assists and 127 steals. He concluded his career with 951 points scored as a Jayhawk.
Johnson excelled in basketball and track at Leavenworth High School and was later inducted into the LHS Hall of Fame for his basketball prowess.
Following KU, Johnson played professional basketball in the Netherlands. Once done with basketball, Johnson settled in California where he started a family and worked in the car business until his passing.
Well-known as a teammate, friend of all and dedicated father and grandfather, in December 2015, Johnson was featured Once A Jayhawk, Always A Jayhawk.
A Celebration of Life for Johnson will be in Leavenworth with a date, location and time to be announced.

Same here. They had close to 11,000 for first game vs UTEP. I have no desire to go to Austin anymore.
After the lady left who always sent me posters etc in the past, I wrote Joanie Stephens HCBS's assistant) and the new posters (3) came today 🙌 they are so big and wide they don't fit on my closet door.
I was at that game when jamiri dunked on UT!🙋♀️
Girls and I are really enjoying the all around scoring and ❤ the lobs being back!

The '22-23 season will begin on Nov. 7 -- a Monday. The reason: it's the day before Election Day, and so there was an initiative to get teams to play on Monday instead of a day of civic duty and engagement. (Many teams decided to abide by this, but some still opted to play on Nov. 8.) It's an uncommon occurrence. And unfortunately, it will make for an underwhelming opening.
Ate late lunch but was watching...... So happy for the team and for the fans. Fans need to show up next week vs. the Clones!!
