Got to say , were in on some pretty dam good recruits for 2026 players either that's going to visit, has visited , or visiting again. They said they are really targeting Ethan Taylor visited on 2nd of June. In on pretty heavy Devion Adkins visiting KU on Sept 16th,

Others scheduled to visit-- -- -Latrell Almond 0n ( 8-38 ) IKenna Aloziie (10- 17th ) -- Billy White III , Deron Rippey ( 11-2 ) to name a few

@drgnslayr Understand that but people looking at both sides of the fence which is only logical. Common or not this is nothing to mess around with. The poor guy has some major health issues and this job stressful as it is I guarantee you that he has had some medical people tell him that it might be a god time to call it a day.

He has already said previously that he didn't winna Coach many more years , he wanted to be able to enjoy his time with his Wife and enjoy his Gran Kids. This just might be the final straw for him to back away.

However I do think he will try for this year because of Darryn at least

I agree with FarmerJayhawk about Jacque , that's what I was saying earlier and I'm just not lock stone convinced that like some think IF Coach can't continue that they are automatically turning it over to Jacque.

I also think there are other people that have the question but might just not know how to phrase the question without seeming dis-respectful but the question remains , I like all others respect the Hell out of Coach Self and the things he has done for the University of Kansas that can never be repeated and sure hope Coach recovers and has a long life still to go. Yet the question I think others ae thinking also and that is IF Coach Self doesn't come back THIS year , his Doctors tell him he needs to maybe time to hang it up and take care of himself would be in his best interest then -- - - - - - what happens to the current roster ? -Would it be possible some of the roster ask for a release or transfwe, People have to realize kids commit to play for a particular Coach not the University, these kids want to play for Self Could some want out now IF he didn't come back this year, the one I think of most might be Kohl- - just wondering if that could happen

Great Coach. Nothing we as fans can do, Coach just needs rest and plenty of it. I've thought for a long time this would be it, This kind of a job is really stressful, going to say prayers for Coach, His health is the only thing important as of now.

I'm still not convinced 1000 % Jacque WILL be the next Coach- -let's all wish the best for Coach

The big thing is that they volunteered they would be taking no revenue, none , zero , zelch in the first five years . Offered a absolutely no risk clause as to where if at te end of the Contract and they showed us where they wee bringing NOTHING to the league at all, they would or we could boot them out no questions asked.

The big thing is they are on probation AGAIN. Do we really want something like that ? putting more back eye perspective from general public ? Crazy times. Ross Dellinger & Brett McMurphy both reporting a couple of hours ago that Memphis offered the Big Twelve in between 200-250 Million dollars to buy their selves into the Big Twelve.

On top of that they were adding be able to deliver major sponsorship- -( Fed-Ex ) . There would not be any money/revenue share given to Memphis for the first five years, -- there would be right at three Million given to each Big Twelve School 7 - -And Memphis was also adding a self explosion if at the end of I think 2030 the Big Twelve decided that Memphis was bringing nothing to the table.- --The Big Twelve's response to this offer from Memphis trying to buytheir way into the Big Twelve---NO THNANKS.- - lots of pro's and cons on both sides to this story.

Hmmm , So just got through reading an article that can out two hours ago. Sounds like KU might not be done recruiting for 2025/ this years squad rounding out the roster for this year quite yet.

The article says that from a recent post from PDT recruiting KU is showing renewed interest/linked to Croatian --6'9 Guard / Wing --- -Luka Skopic . If true says he brings length and promising three point shooting to round out the roster for this year.

Not sure how much validity thee is on this BUT if any substance would be good- - -MORE length and three point shooter, watching film decent ball handler , looks pretty decent shooting the three and length.- -not sure on hops out of all high lights saw one flush-- the rest lay ups but looks solid for minutes off the bench

I'm beginning to really like our new recruit's way of thinking. I think there might be a few that just could be under estimating/value of Paul Gbiya.,While I'm not sating he will be no world beater but I think and have heard yes he is raw and unlimited ceiling.

Yet what I really love his way of thinking. I read an article where he said he wanted to become a Molutu- --which translates to a Dictator of the Lane- -I LOVE that type of thinking. Really good rim protection , relentless on the boards and that7'8 wingspan, I think we might have awaken a Bear

@RockChalkinTexas Lot better rebounder then KJ- --Lot better rim protector-- much longer wing span 7'9.-- -kinda raw , still learning he has been playing ball for three years.- -gotta little post up move --and your right he loves to try and tear down the rim at all times.

One thing about it is he is not going to have to come in and have the entire load on his shoulders. Like I read from another site actually all he needs to o is rebound, score some and defend the rim right now, spell flory a bit and be able to learn the system.

This team is going to be by far much more physical , much mew athletic.-- we have a Pg that actually can and will drive and finish , play through contact, can and willing to shoot the three.-- Not knocking Juan by any means still like Juan but this is what it is.

We have a Big that loves contact , wants to rip the rim down every time -loves attacking the boards for the rebound--- then our other big has serious hops loves blocking shots and pretty dam fluid.

Then we have a wing that can knock down threes pretty effectively , we have a dog maybe a coupe defensively , we have extreme length at every position, we have multiple guys that check in at 6'4- -6'5 interchangeable in many areas.

Then we have a very capable all around players sounds like a team to me.-- -Most the time we are the HUNTED - --This year we are THE HUNTER. I think we are going to be over looked and not enough respect given. -- -LET'S DO THIS let the games begin- --ROCK CHSLK

@BeddieKU23 I myself would love Myiba, the kid is really solid. Defends the rim well things starting to shape up. Also I think Tre is a solid player to might surprise some.

I would think hopefully good news because he committing this weeks chances are more then not he had cancelled his other visits with Texas A & M and Caylor and others. Thing is with Rosario hearing wants big bag & wants lots of minutes, not sure how that is going to go over with staff. on top of that thought we were hurting in NIL money, with I'm sire Reterson & Flory NIL.

Do we want to spend big on Kohl , unproven or spend more om Mbiya who has college experience and try for McDowell for less

@dylans I agree with you 100 % & this is exactly what I've been saying also all College ball is a minor league now for the pro's NIL ha destoyed the game of College Basketball there is no NCAA basketball anymore. I have never watched any G league ball either, your spot on.

Like the article put out though would be if he came who is your starter ?- Flory or Mbyia ?- - Mbyia -6'11 and 260 with that 7'7 wing span, gonna be a lot of Schools on him

Mercy , who really knows 100 % for sure just exactly where we stand on recruiting ? I mean through misses in our recruiting with High School & portal we have really hit the international route really hard this off season trying to find that back up Big and that scoring wing.

I'm just starting to get this feeling that in the end we may NOT be in quite as bad of shape as it seems. It just maybe , maybe might be with these guys being international bottom line is things JUST TAKE LONGER , RIGHT ? - --could be Visa's-- - - Could be eligibility , - ---- there is no way we can possibly know the whole story as to where we stans, Hell they might have already actually given a verbal , now just waiting on the process.

As far as Ege or Koren as to who I would take ? -- --- that is a tough one for me. Like has been said by BeddieKU23 we are further along with Demir , sure fit -----I would take Ege because of his rebounding aggressive attack of the rim & length-----BUT I would take Korem because very fluid, makes some nice passes , looks like he can hit the three occasionally , handles the ball well- - I dunno I will take either and be fine if they commit.

Yet like Kcmatt7 says when we see that Karem is following KU on Social, does kind of seem like we have seen this before usually means interested for sure and might be heavy interest- - -in the end I think we will be fine,-- like they say I guess patience is a victual

@BeddieKU23 Ya I had since read that Demir like you mentioned had actually verbal to UCLA a few years back but didn't meet UCLA'S standard . of English. Crazy score he needed to qualify for UCLA- -had to score a 100 for them, was referenced just silly, as even Harvard and Cal which are very High Schools their scores needed in English is 80.

KU score needed is 79 but if a individual takes a paper test in home the score drops to a 60 , so yes your right a lot better chance to qualify.

Interesting enough I had thought about this before they brought this up ---Demir reminds them and me as a some what smaller version of Doke right at a 7'3 wing span , very aggressive rebounder, attacks the rim with vicious dunks. going to bring strong rebounding , good lob go getter, poor free thrower, needs to reduce turnovers
