Tristan come on man.
I figured Disney made him an Ewok or R2D2 unit on Mandelorian and we were rid of him.
Is this the first game we've had Fran this year? Can it be the last?
@KirkIsMyHinrich facts.
I wonder how much our FG% improves with Harris on the floor.
Dajuan making this game feel like !
↗
I mean is TCU even on the court right now?
DAJUAN = KU BBALL
@Kcmatt7 nah man. the confidence is good. just dont reward him. keep his PT the way it is this game.
@Kcmatt7 I honestly wish we'd just see one more game with Harris running point. It makes me upset that Marcus will come back and likely take PG back.
@BeddieKU23 Bill Self has had that one circled for a while. I don't think he had us amped for Texas like we'll be amped for Baylor.
By the time we get to Jan 18th we're going to be ready for Baylor.
YAY LOB!
Fran stopping short of saying "....and Marcus isn't part of it."
Yeah I mean I would never blame someone for judging a player before they radically get into freak shape. That's a magic transformation.
@jayballer67 he is way faster than he looked before this year.
I'm happy with Dave's impact on the game. light touch, played ok. Position isn't on lock, maybe the word is out, Mitch and Roman Numerals showing signs of life.
Yeah I mean I get that jossell is little but what's the point of having skilled depth at PG if you don't use it when it's needed
Best pass by Dave all year.
"Jalen Wilson has a magical bag of tricks." - Fran
It takes one leprechaun to know one.
You know what. It's fantastic when Wilson is the low block rebounder and does that!
@BeddieKU23 laughter like my 2 year old pegging a rock I just handed him at my head.
Yeah i don't get this lineup at all. What's the point? What are we attempting to discover with Dave Ochai Braun TGF Wilson?
@jayballer67 well Harris isn't out there.
@Kcmatt7 enjoyable.
I liked how Ochai slowed down that 2 on 1. Almost.
Ro... Man... Nuuuu.... Meralllllls......

At this point I wouldn't even mind just seeing what Jossell looks like over TGF or Tristan just to have an actual guard in.
Yeah :hundred_points:
@DanR wow. I think Tristan has been working out a lot with Javale Mcgee... Taught him a few things.
Disney / ESPN is really starting to piss me off this year. Appsanity to get this game showing.
@jayballer67 well I'm willing to let Marcus shoot volume from 3 and see what happens. We will see if his 38% from deep is fools gold or not. I'm inclined to agree with you, but the last game his shot looked good. Give him volume and let him sink or swim off ball. Maybe with Harris in ball and finding open guys, Marcus gets open looks where he's set and magic happens.
@justanotherfan yeah if Marcus is fit to play tonight, then I agree. Harris Marcus Braun Ochai Thompson has to be the starters. But with Marcus out I don't think I would start that group replacing Marcus, would you? Thompson probably still injured. Maybe get TGF in? Hope he gets it by seasons end?
I want Dave to start and play like game before last. Also, I want guys not to feed him in the post much. And plenty of Mitch time if things go sideways.
@drgnslayr I am totally OK with getting a quick 3 in transition as well, provided it's a good shot and other guys are crashing boards. I attribute the problem to our recent teams relying on playing through our bigs in the half court. I don't know how Self can't say this is a personnel issue of his own making when he builds rosters around guys like Dedric, Udoka and Dave, and advertises them as our lead scorers. So I guess he's realized this. Hopefully the new bigs can run, gun, and rebound out of the gate. Maybe Enaruna will find new life in this future run and gun reality.
This should be Bill's year to Stop Worrying And Learn to Love the [Trey] Bomb.
@Texas-Hawk-10
Unfortunately, I don't think he would be a 40% three point shooter if he took more 3's. He's taking wide open set 3's when they give that to him. But I'd like to see. Couldn't hurt.
If he can hit 3's off ball, it makes it way easier to run him with Harris. And I like that a lot.
@Crimsonorblue22 ha. We've never played well mornings.
@hawk4life It can. We could have kept that game close if we played the right personnel, and we could have won if we were hitting 3s. But thats ideal circumstances.

When Braun is a non factor this team cannot beat good teams. His good games are great but his bad games, well at least he is a sophomore and will be here 4 years.
you're absolutely right .I thought about mentioning that very thing in that post where I elaborated on us being a good team. I'm assuming that Braun will show up when we get to tourney time, but given a few off nights recently, that assumption may no longer be correct.

Kansas is a good team. We just need to play to our strengths.
What exactly IS our strengths right now at this point ? - -Serious not knocking just curious what you think our Strengths really are - I don't see any that stand out. Well unless defensively and even that didn't stand out today
well, we're a good 3 pt shooting team. 3 guys over 40% I think. Our defense is pretty good when Dave isnt on the floor. Yes,we give up size to bigs like Sims. But our guards are good at perimeter D, play good positional defense, are plus rebounds for their positions, and if we're trading 3 for 2s, stopping as much as we can in the interior, knowing there is a size differential, we have a good chance of winning on any night.
@hawk4life agree about Dave. Marcus was one of the reasons we stayed in the game yesterday, I thought.

Braun a non factor. Would have liked to have seen Harris in longer. We were still in the game before he got the long ride on the pine.
Marcus seemed to draw the "beat up Sims and take him out of his comfort zone" assignment. Appeared that he punched him in the balls accidentally on one end and then caught him with a forearm across the face accidentally when boxing out on the other.
Mitch with continued effort to start the 2nd
@jayballer67 can't disagree with any of your points.
Ended first half on a bad note. Guy blowing by Dave like he's not there.
Okay, force fed to Dave for a bricked 10 footer for the 5th time. Can we not?
Mitch with a couple big blocks. Playing with heart. If only Enaruna had progressed at an even pace from last year.
