I think I was a little harsh on Dave. His performance against Gonzaga was bad. There's no denying that, but @BShark 's post reminded me about how COVID has affected my own sons soccer team. Notably an aversion to play the same tough physical defense that they hung their hat on in seasons prior. With this being the first time Dave was banging with other big bodies he really does deserve a pass for not being as physical in the paint. Weird times. Better times ahead.

@BeddieKU23 he had a nice move yesterday where he dribbled through two defenders and was able to maintain control and get a nice shot off. His x axis quickness doesn't seem connected to his Y axis hops.
This was the most enjoyable game for me in a while. I'm going to appreciate this season, a game at a time, however much of a season we get.

I mean... You could either have a bad 5 (at this point) who doesn't rebound or defend or bump Dave for Dajuan and have a legit PG and wings that all are plus defenders and rebounders for their size.

Bill has some great pieces. But this is so different than rosters past. This team feels positionless.
