I thought I would understand by this point whether Trae Young is great or not. But I still can't decide. It's maddening. I watch a highlight reel of his 49 points in this last loss, and its very creative shots, but it's all iso.
Then I look at the box score, and either his team just sucks, or it feels like they play down around him. His line is great.
Is Trae Young a kid that could be second wheel to someone else and still score like he scores? Will he find himself a cast of players that mesh well with his game?

Wow. The Dayton game made me rethink everything I thought about Dokes chances in the NBA. And it should do the same for any scout watching.
With Dokes added agility, his ability to create his own shot with baby hooks and spin moves, his devastating high screens for the 4-1, his passing over the top of the doubleteam, his ability to defend the perimeter, run the floor, and shot block with those long arms. Doke is a modern 5!
At 77% FG percentage, Doke gets 1.54 points per shot. That's equivalent to 51% for a 3 point shooter!
Health is everything. Break a leg Doke, we need you!
We'll see if Doke makes it through the season. Silvio is a great insurance policy.
