I've seen that error rarely as well. When I get it I reload the page and it goes away. The animation issues are all resolved though?
@ParisHawk also let me know if this alleviates some of the layout concerns you had.
UI change to something you're deeply familiar with is always an uneasy feeling. I'm sympathetic to all the angst. I feel it too. Once we get the colors down right, as well as any legibility concerns, i think we will be in a good spot, and we will all get acclimated and I think this will be very comfortable again. Functionally, it looks like we may have resolved the chat issues that @mayjay had, the posting issues @Crimsonorblue22 had and the date issues on posts that others have reported. @JayHawkFanToo please let me know of the scrolling issues you had are now resolved.
@jayballer54 oh! So for emojis type colon and start typing the name of the emoji. It will autocomplete. As for the readability I am very sensitive to making this thing legible. That's good feedback and I'll see what I can do there.
@dylans Thanks man!
@Crimsonorblue22 Hey! I changed two things, can you tell me if either them resolve your issue with composing?
1 I turned on "quick reply" feature, which automatically has a post quick reply box at the bottom of a thread (try posting through that)
2 I changed the composer to be a separate route, so it no longer opens as a modal at the bottom, it opens in a separate page. Can you tell me if that now works for you also?
@brooksmd if there are specific elements you dont like, that would be helpful. I'm trying to make this feel as comfortable as the old theme. I can tweak specific elements in the theme.
Gotta quit on this for the evening. Been tweaking the CSS with overrides with the jayhawk hexcodes trying to get this feeling more like the old theme. A couple known things that still need tweaking. Active color on nav menu seems messed up on some browser (white background around item). Progress bar below is still teal (not jayhawk blue). Clicking on reply button dropdown makes yellow -> teal. Outline around menu items is unnecessary when hovering over.
EDIT: Also, changing the image set for the categories so that they center around something meaningful, as they're much smaller than what we had in the other format.
If there are any others you guys see, let me know.
Had hoped this theme would fix it.
@Crimsonorblue22 nah, I'm here. Sorry :(
I did an update to a new version they just released (that was the down time)
I'm going to move us over to a different theme and try it out for a bit. If we can get to another theme and get it the way we want it, that will put us in a good place with updates, as the other themes are well maintained. So let's try one out and that should fix a lot of the functionality issues you guys have expressed, even if we might not be accustomed to the layouts.
Yeah looks like it fixed it. Damn. That was my fault. I misconfigured the site to www.kubuckets.com instead of kubuckets.com . The SSL cert didn't like the www. NodeBB guys caught it. :angel:
@jayballer54 Think we should have a fix for the emojis now on all devices. Testing. :smile: :octocat:
@jayballer54 On desktop you should be able to allow the certificate (see top left, there's a lock or some sort of icon. Allow the certificate there) and get the emojis back. On phone, I don't have a resolution yet.
@jaybate-1.0 said in How Do I Delete My Notifications?:
accumulate
I wonder if they time out or if there is a limit as to the number displayed. I haven't looked at how this is configured
@mayjay
On the road atm. Normally Virginia.
Yeah I don't think they delete from the list but they should remove the highlight and the count should decrement.
Mark all notifications as read worked for me. Hm.
I'm not a Christian, but Happy Easter guys. Hope it was a good one. Surrounded by beautiful churches here. I'm inspired by what inspires others.
@Crimsonorblue22 the lurkers at bottom is a feature the nodebb guys call thread presence. When I asked they acknowledged it was very cool but very unperformant but they are looking into revamping and bringing it back.
@Fightsongwriter yeah man. Me too.
@Crimsonorblue22 Cant hate Lawrence and Self over this. Same kind of stuff will be available when Josh is making millions. She may not care much for LV.
@mayjay so would your definition of hypocrisy be the deliberate attempt to deceive by presenting duplicitous opinions? Not to be confused with the presentation of duplicitous opinions over a course of time, however short, where the individual expressing the opinion has changed his mind, possibly due to the exposure to new facts and opinions?
Can a line be drawn between the two? Or are they indivisible?
I'd argue that attempting to evolve one's opinion to stay in line with one's moral code could be noble, while changing one's opinion to leverage social media could be evil, but the ability to discern the difference might be more difficult that one would hope. If the individual expressing the opinion believes he falls in the former group, is he exonerated of all evil, though he surely falls in the latter group as well?
@mayjay man. I wasn't even thinking about politicians. Do you think our macro social (Facebook induced) perspective and media spin perspective on hypocrisy has lagged behind reality, thus creating an increasing rift between public and private personas? Might this rift escalate personality disorders in American presidents?

Kansas / Memphis Aug 8, 2008.
FG% disparity / number of 3s Kansas made / rebounding disparity.
We made 6.7 threes per game in 2007-2008 compared to 8.8 this year. How far does that number go down next year?
Lawson pipeline makes me think we see the high low reintroduced next year, maybe this year.
Anyone want to venture a guess on which key stats change and by how much, year over year?

@REHawk well put! The media doesnt do us any favors. They love that emotional churn! I've been amused by the label of hypocrisy and its valuation over the last couple decades. In the 90s hypocrisy felt like a serious condemnation. Now with the accelerated rate of change and the explosion of information it would require isolation and fiercely stubborn deliberation not to have changing opinions.
@mayjay thanks, excellent. Ill dig in. On the road atm.
@dylans good lookin out!
@mayjay Thanks man. What make and model are you using and what version of the OS and browser?
@Blown lolol fantastic
Great raw talent. His McD and Hoop Summit performances were dominant, but just clueless in a D-I system. I have to assume that the lightbulbs just weren't coming on in practice. Offensively I'm pretty sure he would have been a non-factor at best.
However, that said, on defense we had no rim protector and pretty sure Cheick could have helped out in the middle of a zone. Unfortunately in man, he kept getting lost.
I think I have to agree, @JayHawkFanToo . i think Bill tried to develop him with the limited time he had him, but it just wasn't in the cards.
@Blown I'm all for talking about issues and working toward resolution, even if it's distilling the problem and passing it on to the nodebb guys. I agree with the sentiment here. The misalignment of elements in the layouts is annoying and it would be nice to get the ball rolling on a fix.
Locking this one up.
@jayballer54 dude come on. You already said you were walking away. Let it go, let's talk about something happy or take a break.
@CostaRicanHawk hey, welcome aboard!
@stoptheflop Thanks man. Yeah. I also want to mention, if you guys are tech savvy and can explain the exact device / os / browser and steps to reproduce the issue consistently, you could really help out and submit the issues to the nodebb github repo.
https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB ↗
I submitted one a couple days ago and they've already fixed it;

Guys simmah down nah! You guys are escalating. Come on, what HEM said is correct; we have different values. Me, I think JJ found himself in an unfortunate situation that I'm pretty sure he regretted, but if I were Apples I'd be damn proud of my son. Regardless, let's not get personal about this.
@ParisHawk So here's teh thing. We are using the lavender theme, because it seems more legible to me than the other two officially maintained nodebb themes. Lavender is the least well maintained of the three, so I need to dig into the other two and evaluate if I can tweak the the things I don't like, which may include overriding certain elements of CSS in the newer themes, or if we should stay with lavender and possible tweak CSS and/or edit code to handle some of the bugs that are likely not present in the other two themes.
Seeing issues on my phone. No emojis.
Test :8ball:
@BShark I don't know man. He hit a lot of threes for us, right up there with Devonte/Frank in terms of volume, and he had some key buckets in the Kentucky win and in the tourney. I think he'd be missed. Of course, Bill would develop someone else, but Svi is still poised to do good things for us next year.
@Crimsonorblue22 Really don't like that other theme, at least not at first blush. If it didn't fix your problem it's a moot point. I might be able to tweak the css to fix the problem. For now, can you download another browser? Clear some room on the ipad and get chrome or firefox to buy us some time on this?
So it doesn't work for reply?
@Crimsonorblue22 if you're not seeing the new theme, you have to refresh the cache.
I don't like this theme. At least... its very different and feels hard to read.
but I'm curious. @Crimsonorblue22 does it fix the posting problem?
@Crimsonorblue22 So... I'm going to switch the theme for a minute. Let's see if that corrects your issue, and lets see how bad life is with a different theme.
@Crimsonorblue22 oh man. lol. that's great.
That's a beautiful quote.
@Crimsonorblue22 try again?
@dylans alright. here's what we did in the other thread....
