YES....YES....YES.... Come on.. Come on.....
Give it to the Big Fella with the endless legs!
:boom:BOOM!:boom:
TOUGH D. LET'S GO!
@Blown Lyles slapped kid in the face, reviewed, no call, then Townes flops on other end on Hayes' drive, called offensive foul.
@wissoxfan83 This is garbage.
@wissoxfan83 Let's go Nigel... you know whats more beautiful than that reporter? !
↗
@wissoxfan83 He got fouled by that guy's balls.
@VailHawk yeah, looked like a travel.
@brooksmd its by design supposed to lazy load the posts.. so it'll load some of them, then when you got to the bottom, load more. The problem I've seen is sometimes on my phone it won't load all the posts.. I hope they have fixed that either in this version or a later version.
@VailHawk Yeah, I think so. Seems solid. I watched the logs for a while and wasn't seeing any errors. Let me know if you see any problems.
loving these and-ones! TOUGH!
@brooksmd Yeah I worry about the depth of Kentucky wearing them out. They look like they're spending a lot of energy on the offensive end.
Calipari didn't watch any tape in preparation for this game, supposedly. Make him pay!
@Crimsonorblue22 testing....
@DCHawker I'm seeing them on Phone. You on desktop?
Holy sh--, this version has a really enhanced admin section. Be very afraid bots!
And the tags actually work now instead of that broken {tag} message. Maybe there are a few other goodies in here.
Anyway, I'm off to dinner. will play more later.
@Crimsonorblue22 thanks!
False start. So I was still having problems and I did a partial upgrade to the latest point release of v0.5.x to fix the issue, as I saw there was a bug fix for what I was seeing. Seems to be stable now.
So now we're not on the latest v.0.6.x, but we are on the latest point release of the stable v0.5.x. I was having problems getting it all the way to v0.6.x last night, so I'll hold off on that.
Guys, sorry for the site outage. I believe I may have caused the problem because I was backing up the site last night and started building a new server to test upgrading to the latest of the nodebb software. I don't know how that may have caused the outage as of yet, but seeing as I was working on it, it seems likely to be related. Thank you for the emails. I'll keep an eye on things and get to the root of the problem.
@Blown Consistently getting to the tournament and advancing in it has been a huge step forward for VCU over the Capel and Grant eras. What Shaka has accomplished at VCU has been tremendous, and it is a sad, sad day for VCU basketball fans.
I would say he's better than Tubby. And in terms of recent success, I could see making an argument for being better than Kruger and possibly surpassing Huggy, esp if you presume that he will now get higher-ranked talent and that said talent will equate to greater success.
@wissoxfan83 If you remember it, you weren't there....
@REHawk Best in the business. He needs to find a way to beat K on Saturday.
@Blown You forgot Self on that list... what number was he again?
1 - Larry Brown
2 - X
@wissoxfan83 They're doing a great job using backdoor cuts and reverse layups to negate the size advantage.
BOOM! Time out!
@wissoxfan83 Sam Dekker is a MAN!
Living in Richmond, VA, I have a very hard time seeing Shaka fitting in as Texas' coach. Under his watch, VCU has become a brand of basketball that is geared toward undervalued athletic players giving their all in the Havoc full court press, yielding transition baskets. I can't see it jive with "Everything is Bigger in Texas". Though I guess I have a hard time seeing Marshall fit in there also for similar reasons. I can't remember Texas ever being undersized and pressing hard and living/dying by the 3. While maybe that's because of Rick Barnes, maybe it's also because he had to play it safe. Havoc brand is risky. It could take you deep / it could be a quick out, and I can imagine Shaka quickly finding himself in the hotseat if things go poorly. He's a super smart guy though. Maybe he's not married to Havoc, it just worked for what he had. Either way, it could be really interesting. He does have the pedigree of a champion as a disciple of Donovan, and has had great success at VCU.
And as for having another great coach in the Big 12, I'd love to have him (night and day in terms of class compared to Marshall) and would wish him the best (except when we play him).

But you have to pick.... Duke or UK... who is it going to be?
I'll take rat face over the squid any day of the week!
The TV does not need to be on at that point.
This is miserable.
@drgnslayr remember how much it likely helped BMac to have been forced to redshirt a year.
Speaking of Big Mouths... who's ready to watch Calipari get punched in his tonight? I'm so amped. Come on HuggyBear!
@wissoxfan83 Here's another Nigel Hayes moment for you:

WSU is better than KU and you guys just need to get over it. They have better tradition, the better venue, the better coach, more all-time wins, better school colors, a better mascot, better fans, a better education, and all around more class.
And their Head coaching position is a destination job, not a stepping stone.
So just get over yourselves.
That's fantastic :)
@Kip_McSmithers because we lost everyone in 2012 and then had Naadir quit and BMac went pro, our new guys lost the opportunity to really experience the culture that preceded them. Playing alongside some of out 2012 studs could be massive for the young guys.
@Blown I can't stand Marshall. If the elbow smash to Perry's face is any indication of what playing Texas 2-3 times/year under Marshall might be like, I'm not looking forward to it. We need Sasha to come back and teach our bigs Facesmashing.
To paraphrase Gladiator....
I will [smash your face], Aleks Maric, in this life or the next!

.... TROB continuing to play well in limited minutes.
@jaybate-1.0 Yes, the replay was something. I couldn't believe it wasn't a flagrant. It wasn't nearly this bad, but it reminded me of Coach K's goon, Gerald Henderson:
[
That one was called a flagrant. In our case it was an offensive player who did the thuggery, and that is the only possible excuse I can come up with as to why they didn't call it a flagrant.
@chalkaholic I just wanted to point out that your name is fantastic.
@jaybate-1.0 awesome man. when you're happy, you glow. several times this year you gave me the warm fuzzies.
@VailHawk I miss Dooley. But I also miss having upperclassmen. Having everyone leave in 2012 devastated the ecosystem.
@Lulufulu I'd hardly say Coach K plays the game like it's meant to be played. Yes, his teams press well, and he knows when to call timeouts and is a good in-game coach. But his teams are floppy, whiny, cheap-shotting, and arrogant, and that all comes from coach.
P.S. ESPN, just because you name your Christian Laettner butt-kissing video "I hate Christian Laettner", it doesn't disguise the fact that you are in fact running a PR campaign attempting to rebrand Christian Laettner (and by proxy Duke) to soften up the haters so you can use him in your advertisements.
I hate Duke. Always have. Always will.
@VailHawk I'm okay with Izzo. Miller I don't care for; Calipari and K I despise.
@drgnslayr I've loved reading everything people contributed and it's made the season much more fun. Thanks everyone.
I'll be playing w upgrading the board sometime in the off season. Should be some nice new features in nodebb. Hopefully we can kiss the spambots goodbye for one.
Looking forward to Royals chatter!
@dylans aren't Oubre's minutes enough for him? Plus, I think if he steps up, Brannen's minutes aren't set in stone. I see lots of time for Svi, with no incoming wings as of yet.
@SoftballDad2011 Fun video, thanks for sharing this.
@brooksmd Of course, man. It was a fun year.
Oh well. I'm out, no sense in me channeling my frustration by Mr. Momming you guys. Please be kind and just walk away instead of starting fights tonight. Let's not riot and trash the place (figuratively speaking) because our team lost.
@Jayrawks1 so his behavior justifies yours?
