Crowds unhappy with Landon. He doesn't get it.
3rd row opposite the visitor bench even with the goal. Looks like graham is already cramping from here.
@Texas-Hawk-10 you started this...
Man who stands on toilet high on pot.
Man who stands with hands in pocket feeling cocky.
I thought Coleby was terrible and playing near his ceiling. I hope I'm wrong, but if KU must rely upon Coleby we are in for a long season and a short March.
As bad as Coleby was, the other bigs were worse. Lucas looks gimpy and out of sorts. Lucas was the best big last season because he allowed the offense and defense to smooth out. It wasn't because of his skill or athleticism. With defenses able to concentrate on him in a 4 guard lineup his stats are going to be terrible.
Bragg still is learning. The Soph jump in production is occurring, but KU needs more from him to be successful. He is still far too raw.
Jackson looked like the best post player last night. He was able to score at will from 10 ft. His release is so quick from just outside the block, it'd be very difficult to defend.
We need Bragg and Udoka to play to their potiental to realize the season we have predicted.
@stoptheflop Lucky for Texas and Oklahoma!
Does anyone else think that the new "most interesting man" looks like an old southern Michael Phelps?
@approxinfinity weee! More fun!
A lane violation can cause you to miss a free throw, but the end of game buzzer won't mess with a guy's shot? He wasn't rushed or frazzled? Tough situation for both teams. MSU shouldn't have to defend twice, but Joe's team should get a fair shot also.
Tough luck, but now they have a legitimate complaint.
@stoptheflop Argue with Self.
“I think it’ll do us some good,” Self said of the victory, calling it more of a must-win game for Kansas than it probably was for Duke. “For the first time we won a game when we shot it like crap — 2-of-17 from three, 9-of-19 from the (free throw) line — but they don’t get transition points and we controlled the glass. It’s not that complicated.”
Don't get back, don't rebound- Don't play. Do both and play plenty. How fast will they learn?
I missed that Doke didn't go after a rebound. I know fully understand why he only played 7 minutes. Rebounding has been a point of emphasis so far, if you don't do it you sit. Now let's see how Doke responds; I predict a double digit rebounding effort next time out.
The other option is to run a smear campaign against UK and DU. I'd enjoy that personally. The problem with that is the number of Duke grads working at ESPN. You will never overcome that bias and it's spilling over into the masses as they become brainwashed. We need to embed our own KU people!!!
Worse case scenario : Coleman goes to 'Cuse. Quade goes to Kentucky. Opening up the Duke pressure on Duval.
One comment I found more than a little concerning was from M. Jacobs mom (our Jr. signing). She said (paraphrasing) Now that Kansas has offered you, you should see if you can get an offer from Kentucky or Duke.
Kansas (UNC too)isn't on the same level as Duke and Kentucky in many people perceptions right now. Obviously not mine and I'd like to know how many stinking championships it takes to change that view? 2 more National championships???
@Statmachine Hope you're right! Anything on Twitter/Facebook etc. that would lead you to believe Duval will commit to KU? Soon?
@YellowBeak Yes, but Kansas far makes up for the lack of traditional natural wonders with a lack of humans. Less of the state is spoiled by overpopulation than most.
Some would describe my town as peaceful, quiet, calm, no traffic, nice people, and few to no crowds. I would describe it to outsiders as boring, nothing to do or see, and no one to do it with. But that's because I want city folk to remain in the city...far far away from here!
HEM blew his gasket, was posting nothing but negative crap and finally just went away to hopefully get his head back on straight. I missed the HEM from several years ago, but not the last 18 months. I'm hoping his time away has rejuvenated him and allowed him to see some positives, since he doesn't have to mercilessly defend his negative position.
Whatever the case I hope he's found peace with himself.
Grayson Allen was crying to the refs so much that even coach K said something about it afterward. That's bad!
Paraphrasing - he was looking to the refs for calls instead of playing ball.
I was impressed by Dokes hands. He's a vacuum from which no rebound can escape.
The way KU came out in the second half is how they need to play the whole game - intensity wise.
Aaarrrgh!!! GO KU!!!!!
Run clock or miss a layup...
Cracks me up watching Prince kill Duke!
And one!
2 plays 7 points
Fudge! Only he said it...
Allen looks like Ellen
The starting lineup is long and could be disruptive when they figure it out.
Yea! Go Frank go!
Bull :poop:
A real lineup!
@Bwag They don't help anything. No flow. Trying to figure out the new points of emphases by over using the whistle.
Allen's all show.
@dynomitehawk He's still writing his first comment from the opening play.
@dynomitehawk See his face when he realized he wasn't getting a call? Pissy crybaby- he's fine.
I like to take on the best and all, but come on
Why does KU always end up playing the stiffest completion in the champions classic every stinking year?
@approxinfinity What was the T for I missed it?!?
@BeddieKU23 No one fouled out
No inside presence currently
You could practice free throws in your luxury living room guys...
Gutsy travel call. I was expecting continuation... (Sarcasm_font
Doke needs to get his legs so he can play more!
Duke refs...
I like that Duke zone
Jackson is thinking too much. He'll speed up when he catches up. More minutes/ more practice/ more time = better Jackson/ better KU
Crowd's quiet. I could hear the slap/foul. That'd never happen in Allen fieldhouse.
Graham keeping with it!
