So Bol Bol is a 7 foot version of Perry Ellis? A finesse post player with a good jumpshot. I can see how we would be used in the KU offense. I can see how he wouldn't work well until he mastered the offense also.

At this point I'm more likely to go to a volleyball game than football. (Slim and none are the odds) Why wouldn't you take care of the winners? It'll take $2-5 million for renovations or a new facility. You can't do anything for $5 million for the football team that will matter. They will still have sub-par facilitiies and a team that is years away from relevance. At this point WSU's football team has the same odds to make the playoffs as KU.

So KU got both of Texas' coaches fired a year apart. Took an accumulation of beat downs for Barnes to get canned, but only one for Charlie.
@JayHawkFanToo You really think KU would've picked Texas to play at? Hell playing in Omaha would be better for KU. Think about it a bit, KU wouldn't choose to go to Texas. Anywhere, but an opponents home would be better. I know what you've been told you've repeated/restated it several times.
Also if Texas loses and KU wins KU gets to pick the site...per Tait's earlier article. So your argument that KU couldn't hold the tournament is moot as that is what they could have to do. I realize it won't be in Allen or Horejsi, but it shouldn't be in Texas either.

@mayjay We are complaining about a perceived injustice forced upon us by a committee that doesn't have to answer to anyone. The team is soldiering on. Not all complaints are whiny, hope I'm not coming across as so. I know exactly how annoying some of my friends are on facebook right now whining about the election.

The difference between a four and a five seed in this tournament is huge. If it were on a neutral court it wouldn't be a big deal, but this gives Texas home field in games 3-4 that KU should have. And we all know the girls love to play at Horejsi. It's a disservice to the hard work they did in the regular season to do so.
The selection committees too often rely upon RPI to do their job. I don't know enough about volleyball to be objective, but in general I'd take body of work + confernce champion + eye test over RPI/BPI/BSPI.
I had a mouse destroy the wiring harness to my work truck. Apparently it was crawling up under the hood for warmth when I parked at the shed. The mice have all since been killed at the shed. Let's just say it was fumigated.

@wissox yes, I'd prefer to forget that one. I caught so much crap at high school from the KSU faithful after that 💩😷. KSU fans really delight in others misery. I prefer to bask in our teams success.
It would be great if Josh could crank it up another notch, but he also needs to cut down on fouls so he can stay on the court. I think he can do both, but it will take more system familiarity. Once he figures out how to help defend 2-3 passes away our team will be scary on the defensive end.

@KUSTEVE I don't know. Experience in the system for a high talent guy vs. a freshman with elite talent??? If Newman had a year of playing under his belt I could answer better, but depth is an issue if any 4 guard line ups will be used down the road.

I'd hate to be North Carolina right now. They are playing near their peak in November. A college team can't maintain peak play for an entire season and the post season. Heck, the Warriors couldn't either!
I'm glad to see our team have some early season difficulty. Overcoming adversity will make the team better. They will figure out how to play with their backs to the wall. They will figure out how to play together and will grow as the season progresses into a thing of pure beauty. Time, effort, God given talent, and Bill Self are all it takes.

@mayjay His back may be sore, but im sure his ankle is. He would grimace every time he jumped and would rub his ankle/lower leg every chance he got. It doesn't look good- he needs rest, but he needs playing time to figure out how he can legally establish position too.
I don't know how much was shown on TV, but Lucas is a hurting unit. Between plays he would grab his ankle/lower leg even during a few live ball situations.
My wife is of the opinion that he is a whiny crybaby, but I think he's more injured than we know.
