Am I allowed to do this?!? I feel power.

I hate the Duke brand of basketball. After our guards get 3-4 flop/charges, we settle for bad 3's. We have to work on ball movement. Drive and pass in the 1/2 court. Duke will not allow a cleanly defensed layup.

Man, I saw that the LJW let Gary Bedore go. That was a big mistake. They really f'ed up that site when they made FB drive posts. Had to slash staff. Was an award winning site.

@tundrahok I think I saw more of the potential today than the rawness. Not sure if I ever felt that way about Diallo against decent competition. Size probably is a huge factor in that. Also, he's pretty darn quick for his size.

Obviously happy for the win tonight - but mark my words - we will get our asses handed to us on a regular basis if we don't start hitting some 3 pointers, but especially if we don't learn how to shoot free throws. Missing free throws is on the coach - i would guess he doesn't have them shoot FT's for 5 minutes during any given practice.

Sweet. I hosted a KU Buckets live game chat. Lots of fun. Duke got exposed. Kentucky looked long. Not good, but really fast and long.

Losing Josh really hurt. That said, his performance tonight was otherwise quite nice, hopefully he has turned a corner.

I don't care how it happens, but any win against Duke is sweet, even if they played with only 6 guys all night. Udunka gets a game ball as does JJ who is going to have to learn to keep his head focused. His stupid T led to him fouling out when we needed him. Frank of course though is the MVP. I love that we can be a lob team one game, a slashing team the next, turn on the on-ball pressure and create turnovers after halftime... we have so many faces this year. Bill likes planning ahead, it makes it less predictable when we can be so many things so well.

The only constant in our victories in the Champions Classic have been having Duke as the opponent and Frank Mason being an absolute star. This win tonight was so much more than just one win. It was a win in a tournament we have struggled in, a win against the #1 team in the country, a win against Duke and a fabulous bounce back game after a tough loss. Certainly the best November win in a long time even though the game itself was a war against the refs by both teams!

A win is a win.. Frank is once again the man.. and although I say this every year... sad face.. why for the love of all that is holy is our late game offense 4 guys standing around waiting for Mason to make a play... I fail to understand this. There is no explanation. Why do we run offense the other 36 minutes of the game if that's the best option? Now, ya may argue that it worked.. tonight.. Frank hit the shot. Won the game for us. But I disagree to a point. I believe if we run good offense the last 4 minutes instead of the everyone stand and watch Frank game. It isnt close enough to require a last second heroic from Mason to win the game.

Rock Chalk. Gritty down to the wire and thank God for Frank Mason. I can't wait to listen to Coach K show on Sirius Thursday as I believe he will give us the credit we are due for fighting back in the second half with great D and being in the position to win it. Vick had a couple of great drives to the hoop and Bragg may be getting his role worked out in his own head. You gotta know everyone was beyond exhausted after that game and tired of hotels. Bet they can't wait to get back home.

Did Larry Brown and Sasha Kaun bring the mojo we needed? Thought our fans showed up big time.

With our atrocious 3 point shooting, eventually teams might come off of Vick, for example, to triple team Frank. Might be possible with a quick team. In any case, I wonder what the strategy is there, if there is one. Could it be a strategy to do this at the end of the game? You do see a lot of this kind of thing in the NBA.

Love his attitude and he's letting the game come to him. He's not overplaying at all.

The way KU came out in the second half is how they need to play the whole game - intensity wise.

Duke fans are mostly terrible. After many pleasant encounters online before and after the game with Indiana fans I must say it's been the complete opposite with Duke fans. They are such pompous windbags. Befitting of their coach I suppose. Mini-rant over.

@BShark Most Duke fans never went to Duke and are TShirt fans. TShirt fans of any school are usually the worst fans because they have no real connection to the school.

I have encountered people who are actual Duke alums and the interactions I've had with them have been nothing but pleasant. The only 3 fanbases I've dealt with that involve tte alums also being delusional jackasses are Missouri, KState, and Kentucky fans.

Beyond those 3 groups, TShirt fans tend to be the cast majority of jackass fans out there, including KU's fans.
