Iowa St looked like a team that had kind of given up. Hard to take a lot away from playing a team like that. I know some Iowa St fans that are hoping they go winless in conference so Prohm gets fired. I Can't say I blame them.
That being said, we were a 15-point favorite and we won by 33. So good job there. Just need to keep developing players (emphasis on Thompson, Braun, Jalen, and I wish Enaruna would play more) and hopefully start putting together some win streaks.
I still think it will be a LITTLE more competitive game in Ames tomorrow - not saying how much but I think they will have some added fight, not wanting a repeat and actually they had played fairly well against others before last night recently. I do think in our game they kind of gave up not much there, just got this feel might be a little different

Agree. They can finish really strong. The last three games, effort is there, guys are playing together and some shots are finally going down.
Bryce is huge to this team and allows Self to tighten the rotation down. I think he saw enough good last night to continue that. I can't mention how key Bryce is to this team going forward. It was awesome getting to see him making plays.
Going to be interesting to see how things go in the next few weeks. So many postponed games that could be rescheduled especially with Baylor and Texas. West Virginia/Baylor sit 1-2 and haven't played each other yet. Could be a wild finish to conference play. KU has played 2 more conference games then everyone else. Baylor technically has 9 conference games remaining
KU needs to take care of business Saturday and Wednesday and then its a 3 game series with good teams. I would be ecstatic if KU could win 2 of them
I was really impressed for 1 st game back actually. Brought energy there was a time or two he got over sped but I'm telling ya he made some shots and just overall presence was nice big piece for any future we might have

seen a ne name that KU just offered.- - - 6'9 Isaac Traudt out of Grand Island Neb, Very Capable shooter from distance , can put the ball on the floor as a big or stretch 4. - - -Has 28 offers right now most recent has been KU & Virginia. Gonzaga has shown interested -N Carolina , Michigan St - Gonzaga hasn't offered just yet - -Duke has shown Interest - -lot of big time schools

@BeddieKU23 Ya that seems actually pretty high, and not trying to take away from our guys either but hell even with our better teams that's a stretch. - - I think all things considered how we have struggled lately , might be showing some signs of coming out but still our struggles , only 2,500 fans in the stands, Iowa State 3 pt shooting although that's not for the entire year - still can stroke the 3 going to have to defend the 3.
Once again we going to have to go through Dave , Iowa State has no answer for the inside - -I think I read off their board Cundiff is hurt - take advantage of size. Off their boards they talked about our size & length we overall average 6'5 - - -Iowa State 6'3 - use that to our advantage. -They talk about getting worked over on the boards by other teams , we got to make sure that continues.

Well another take on these streaks that KU has lost in the past couple of years. I think and it's been said by others also and that si - - I don't think you will ever see these streaks broken by another team - - so even though ours got snapped we will STILL hold those records. - -Your not going to see any other team win 14 straight Conference Championships in a row, having said that though this might be the one closest to getting snapped. Gonzaga playing in that pathetic Conference they play in that could happen for that streak.
The others like our 231 straight weeks being ranked in the top 25 -no one was even close to that streak - -were talking like 12 straight years of being ranked , that happening now in this era won't happen. - it's safe.
Then our streak for which we hold the record and still going straight NCAA appearances I think we are at 30 right ? - - Duke I believe was the next closest and their streak is going to be broken this year & like I said our streak for this is still going and unless the NCAA bans us likely to continue for some time yet.
At the end of the day , I think we as fans get a little TO WRAPPED UP in these streaks , when in reality we need to be a little more involved /concerned about our team coming out of our slump and continued improvement. - - The streaks are nice - -great for fans to thump their chest about bragging rights and such - - BUT at the end of the day it's more or should be more about the state of our guys - -our beloved JayHawks that they continue to improve and play well - -the rest is just Gravy. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Gary Parrish from CBS sports saying or welcoming KU back to the rankings already, saying we are already back in statistical ranks Ken Pom at 25th, was back in them Tuesday after Monday Nights game.
Parrish made the statement and you really sit back and seriously look at it - - he is right. Parrish stated that The Jayhawks body of work was never as bad as some wanted to make it out to be. Per CBS Sports saying KU is ONE of just 14 teams with ZERO losses outside the first Quadrant games. - -so maybe we need to just relax lighten up a little and realize things could be a lot worse. Things just seem magnified because we just not use to losing like this in a Season - - Again a lot of this comes from being spoiled me included. -- we need to step back from the edge of the cliff and breathe deep things will get better.
Could be like the UK fans. read from a poster and he had to be a KU fan, saying that he hoped Kentucky fired Cal and that way Cal could come and be the next Coach at KU after Bill left or couldn't Coach because of Show Cause - - I have to say PASS on that one. - - - - Thing is a lot of Kentucky posters said we were welcome to him, so many want him fired /ran out lmao - -don't bring him here

Saadly I have to agree. -- I think Jimmy Dykes has made a good point. He said multiple times and it true just seems come the last 4 minutes of a game when they are close , they just can't seem to close it out.
I think now it's playing HUGE in their heads, and the pressure from the Kentucky fans , you know those kids read/listen to that stuff and they are roughing them up pretty bad - -JUST HAS to play games in their heads. - -Almost like that final 4 minutes something bad starts to happen and it's like - - well here we go again. - -you have to figure a lot of their problem is at their PG - -Askew re-classified he still supose to be a Senior in High School and he getting thrown into that type of situation on such a big stage - like some have said doesn't seem fair.

Yeah, I've come around, guess we all have a tendency to get caught up in certain games and moments. Without McCormack our season would have been a hell of alot worse, that is for certain.
It's easy to get caught up ,I was some what guilty myself, & I have always been a believer in Dave -but human nature you have to find some scape goat.
The ONLY reason I tried to cling on to faith about Dave was & I have to refer back to before the Season even began , someone in the media at one of those sessions asked Coach they asked - - - Who did he feel had made the biggest improvement strides forward during the off Season , and he said without any hesitation -Oh that has to be David McCormack no question about it - - huge strides.
So I've been waiting to see what he was talking about and there have been spot times off and on through the Season -there have been times like you said if he didn't do what HE DID DO where the hell would we be. Now is Dave a Doke ? - - Hell no , not even close , totally different type of player. No he is not the shot blocker, not an intimidator like Doke on D - - really not fair to try and compare him to Doke. Doke is Doke - - David is David , we got spoiled with Doke.
One thing Dave is - -that Doke isn't , more mobile/range he IS a guy that can step away further then 3 ft and hit a jumper sometimes - - not what we want to depend on but still just saying he can do that - -getting better little by little on rebounding just needs to be more consistent , BUT hell the guy I think they said over the last couple of weeks is averaging 18 points a game and close to like 7 if not 7 rebounds a game , got to face it - - Dave just isn't going to be a guy to lead you deep - -deep in a tourney - still kind of gets caught up /sped up if you notice when he slows himslef down a lot better of - -it's almost like at times he tries to over think things - tries to do TO MUCH. - -Don't feel bad a lot of us feel or felt the same way about Dave - - I read it on here , and I to an extent am just as guilty. - -Bottom line Dave isn't Great but he sure isn't a waste by far either - -we gonna be ok. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
