After listening to this interview , I will say obviously the guy sounds pretty what he is talking about , I guess just wondering how he will relate to the players , meaning the age gap. Thing with Dearmon was being younger and being able to connect just curious.
I know it has to be just as frustrating for the players as it is for the Coach's I mean a lot of these guys came because of Dearmon being the OC , now having to yet learn a different system , offense. frustrating. One thing is picked up on doesn't really sound like he will be leaning one way or another as far as what type offense were going to be playing, kinda sounds almost like could be like a 50/50 split run and or pass equal could be wrong. Yet he said he wasn't really or having a distinct offense.
Was ask what was it looked at with what was here coming in at KU ? - -Interesting 1st thing I heard him say was he looked ar the O-Line -- technique and such - -got WORK to do for sure with the O-line , talking about RB'S well I think out top priority would/should be BOTH line O -Line and D -Line , really doesn't matter how good our backs are if our Line can't maintain a block open holes .
Got to give the guy a chance , hopefully he can get this going our offense was just sad not sure of the yardage per game scoring per game but really low I know. - who knows maybe this guy can get it done, has very nice background as to where he has Coached for sure but this is kansas WERE TALKING ABOUT - Keeping fingers crossed

Read an article on Mason from Eric Bossi he had this to say about Mason : A kid who commanded the offense and led the team to a blowout win over Springfield MO Greenfield lab featuring a 5 * forgot to write THAT kids name - -anyways Mason hitting SEVERAL deep 3's scored 32 points and had 6 assists , wooza a kid playing point that can score the ball - -this is what we currently ar having issues with - -no PG that is a scoring threat this kid can do that.
Bossi says Mason has a clever change of pace , & Skill off the Bounce . Mason played for Mokan Elitte in Summer and Bossi says Mason showed MAJOR improvement as a scorer off the dribble and continues to improve as a scorer around the rim he says Bossi also says that Mason also creates easy points by making his way to the free throw line with Regularity.
Schools that are currently involved as he is picking up a lot of offers lately but right now are : Neb , Southern Ill , UMKIC , Clemson , Colorado , Colorado St , KSU , Loyola & Missouri State.
You would think and from reading this from Bossi after Bossi watching him I think it was this past weekend you would think his ranking is gonna jump right now just listed as a 3 * and like 263 ranked player. - - This could be one of those hidden gems , that undiscovered Diamond like a Mason and or Graham possible, you would think Coach would of at least scoped this kid out -- -right here in our back yard right under our noses - -hope they are least put out some feelers might be a big mistake not to - -what we got to lose ?

If your talking about the incident that I'm talking about in here not sure how the hell you didn't see anything , so you must be talking about another play. Because they T'd Doke for alot less and I've seen other players T'd for a lot less. Have to say and all know I really get wrapped up in games , I cuss the guys call some names I didn't even realize I had in my vocabulary lol.
THEN after a cooling off period I realize I'm probably to hard on the kids. Just not use to losing, they have spoiled me - -spoiled us all. I mean 13 Straight yrs of Conference Championships , how many straight weeks in the top 25 ? - How many straight NCAA appearances ? - the last two references holds the record for longest in Nation - - that's how you get spoiled.
So we have this year , guys just aren't as good , not as Athletic however were not alone by any means. Here is a little something the other bluebloods suck this yr also, were actually better then some of them. Duke 7-6 and just showed tonight Duke 0-3 against Quad 1 Competition - - o-3 against Quad 2 Competition and has like a 20.5 % chance of even making the Tourney.
This Saturday will mark the 1st time since 1960 that when Duke & North Carolina play one another - - -neither will be ranked.
Look at Kentucky like 6-10 - -they are not making the tourney unless they just go insane - - - Hell Michigan State suck this year too , Michigan St scores 37 points can't shoot worth a dam - - 37 points against Rutgers - - Tonight the newly ranked # 9 Oklahoma had 18 points at Half against # 10 TT ugly ugly game.
Jerry Palm made a good point on CBS sports , talked about WHY KU was still in the rankings with 6 losses and how they are dropping in the Bracketology but dropping slowly , STILL in their latest bracketology KU is a # FIVE SEED 11-6 on the season and STILL a 5 seed. The Reason ?
KU is 4-5 against Quad 1 opponents big difference. - -just boils down to we are so use to all these wins , some blowouts - -good shooting then we have ONE year of a bad team not super bad but far from what we have had in past and we just can't seem to comprehend why it feels - looks so bad. The Reason - - Because were just not use to losing, of having this type of season - -just are not use to seeing the guys struggle. ya I have been battling with the idea, I told my daughter I was thinking about it and she says why? - Saying everyone she knows that has gotten it is almost instantly getting reaction but , I think it's like looking a gimp horse in the face, I mean ya very well might be reaction BUT what if I don't and then get the COVID. I think to an extent , at least to some degree I think one of the underlying problems , and has been discussed before is this team does not have a leader. In years past this team has always had a guy - -that guy with that bulldog mentality , that stand back type.
In years past you had a guy that could and would just go out and get it done , that almost that I refuse to let this team lose who is it this year ?
I think in recent past I can think of two guys for sure was that way. I don't know maybe and hell I don't know for sure if it was their thinking but just seem like they had that approach of a little chip on their shoulder thinking they had something to prove , SHOW they belonged and a guy that got over looked , under recruited so they took the team and just went out and done it.
Those players ? - # 1 Frank Mason. Seemed like a man of little words , BUT a Man with big time response - look where it got him NCAA POY.- Tough as Nails , more clutch baskets , plays more often and not. # 2 - -Devonte Graham, again more often then not CLUTCH. These were guys that more often then not they were going to get the key bucket in game time - - Crunch time - -Show time & again these were players that was basically un recruited and look how it turned out. DAM what I would give to have someone like that again on this present team.
So , who IS that guy on this team ? Answer , NO ONE. Who is that guy that's willing to step up and try. Believe it or not even though he may not really have what you need to be that type of Guy , the guy that might actually come the closest to that guy very well might be Marcus Garrett, Hard to believe take for example yesterdays game - -the guy that fans just seem to try and rip up and spit out , the4 guy that other team backed off and people just cringed when he attempted a shot. - - turns out that he is now the only one who can hit a dam 3 until the game is no longer in question then OTHERS finally make one.
Again not saying this is THE PROBLEM but for sure a part. - -We need that guy that can and will get in a team mates ass and give them a wake up call someone that can pull the team to get their crap together a guy that can also lead by example and take that shot we just DO NOT HAVE THAT GUY.
This team has no shooters at the present time , it's been brought out multiple times and I agree this is one of the less athletic teams in recent memory You know when you have to rely on your 5 guy to provide your points for you , your in big time trouble with a guy like Dave - not a knock on Dave but he just isn't that type of guy. - -The one thing he has proven that he at least does have a little more offensive game then just Dunks , not sure where the hell the defense has went really sad display lately the last few games other teams wide open 3's and open drives to the hole - no help defense These players have lost their selfs - - No Confidence at all, just haven't seen where the entire 5 has hit the wall like these guys have, very rarely seen that before , again I know this isn't THE problem but is for sure part of the problem
This is a year when a lot of teams get pay back against KU after we have been good for so long. - -Your sure not going to have anyone feeling sorry for us this year and our troubles
The sad part right now is, might need different combo line up yet but what the Hell can Self do not a lot of options

One common thing with the way we have been going - -we dig ourselves such a huge hole from the get go - - just adds that much more pressure trying to come back. get's to the point the guys get to thinking and it's true you have to almost make every shot to crawl back and opposition has to miss makes it really hard
