Noted today on 247

"The potential growth of both prospects during their time in Lawrence will be exciting to see. However, they might not be the only frontcourt members of this class as the Jayhawks are in the mix to receive a commitment from four-star late-blooming big man Jonas Aidoo."

Ya I have heard we in the mix anyways. I don't know but for some reason I think if we were or could get him to commit i think he could be a pretty good player in time pretty solid on the inside defensively from what I heard rim protector and has some game to him seen some highlights- - but as we know they are hughlights - I just get this feel he would be a nice pick uyp

Bigtime looking forward to some Jayhawk basketball.

Don't hold your breath for a complete season. The way the Governor was talking during her conference just now Basketball was brought up. They were talking assuming about High Schools but if the virus is bad enough which it is - -getting really insane all ICU beds now full in Wichita at both hospitals but anyways talking and saying we got lucky with outdoor sports but now we are dealing with indoors. - -Saying we might have to find a different way to shoot a 3 pointer.

All these States spiking really big I would be willing to bet were going to see Cancellations and or inneruptions and if it doesn't improve as there are Schools now talking about total remote/on line again we are going to end up losing our season to this crap - - AGAIN

Well things just keep getting worse. 5,920 new cases from last Friday to Monday - -15 more deaths - -count for this , is at 103,553 cases since it began

K-State has huge problem Riley Co health listing K-state Football , Track & Field & Cross country teams with out breaks. - - K-State football coach said they have to be really care as they have seen Huge jump - saying they have counts of 20 upwards players with the COVID. - Saying they have to be care and play against themselves as they have no Scout team.

Governer Kelly was asked about Basketball with the Schools , and she said some schools are already discussing the Basketball Season saying what might be and she said we had got kind of lucky already from the fall sports BUT those were outdoors - - NOW we are talking about indoors , and the reporter saying that's kind of a hard situation for a Basketball State - - she responded said yes , but we might have to figure out another way of Shooting the 3 pointer - -I'm telling you I am afraid our Basketball Season is going to be screwed again by this virus - - starting of cancelling some games and if were not careful losing the Season - - AGAIN

The MSU/Duke game has nothing to do with how pull Duke has. They played each other at MSU last season in the ACC/B10 Challenge so logic would dictate the next on campus game between the two should be in Durham at Duke.

The reason they're playing on campus instead of in Indy with KU/Kentucky is because of the ACC and B10 Covid protocols not matching what the B12/SEC have in place in regards to neutral court games sontte ACC/B10 couldn't come to an agreement to play their game in Indy as well.

well thank you for that

Ha Iowa, what a joke. They'll be good, but what ever talent they have gets negated by the other Fran I dislike. They have almost a worse basketball resume than the state they share a border with misery. 1979 conference champ (their last) which is impressive actually as that was Magic's championship season at MSU. FF in 1980 and a couple in the 50's That's it.

Of course maybe this poll accidentally posted here was the wrestling poll. Then Iowa deserves to be highly ranked.

NEVER have liked Iowa , don't ask me why , maybe the Coach just something about them rubs me wrong

Is this going to be KU fooball's worst year? The 38 to 23 loss to CC was our most competitive game. I'm sure we've never fielded a worse offense. I was expecting (hoping) for baby steps forward. Instead, the offense has taken a huge step backwards so the defense has no chance of keeping the games close

Our offensive line is killing us - - Daniels has ZERO time spends almost the entire day running for his life. - - Course it doesn't help when you missing key offensive lineman - - you have lost your top 2 running backs - - Williams opting out and then Garner out, -- missing three of your top recievers - - things like that sure doesn't help - - - then we lose two of our top defensive linemen - - Terry & Harris - - when your fighting to keep your head above water you just can't afford these kinds of problems

How in the hell can they call that an intentional grounding on Daniels when he is getting hit ? - - make up call to Oklahoma maybe ?

@Crimsonorblue22 said in The other thread pretty lengthy - new one Covid:

It would help if elected officials in Kansas would wear masks, specifically dr roger Marshall and dr Mark steffen(hutch) doctors, no less! Hospitals are full and on Halloween they had a big ass trump rally here, trump train, ending in a bbq dinner in a building, none of them wearing masks! We are working so hard to keep kids in school and businesses open by following safety protocols. Steffen wants to get rid of all of those!

I think also too is that so many people are just so tired of the virus that they are taking an they are not going to tell me what to do attitude. - - They consider wearing a mask as an incovience no ones really wants to , but we just need to do our part - -WEAR the mask - -easy enough. let's do our part at least , I don't think we are really that close to a cure - it's gonna be here for some time

Another question I have is - - when they DO find or develop a cure , then the question becomes who gets the injection ? - -how much is the injection gonna cost ? - -give it to the one's that can afford it and the one's that can't doesn't get it ?

I know guys , I know people get tired of hearing about it - - reading about it , the Virus BUT it is what it is.

Read this today : It said the daily c Saying that we had been warned for months about a 2nd wave coming well it's here counts is climbing in 48 States, The US recorded it's highest number of new daily cases, & as a result now some regions are showing signs of 2nd shutdown , new restrictions on restaurants , & bars and saying to avoid unnecessary travel , some States issuing curfews in order to stem the number of new infections. - 13 States at the present showing signs of shutting down. - -Some of these numbers is staggering:

Florida : - - -New cases have jumped/increased by 42 % over the past 2 week

Michigan : - - - New COVID infections up -114 % - - -holy crap 114 % from daily average count over the last 2 weeks. - - imposing restrictions like masks MUST be worn when more then 2 people present at stores or office or School - -more restrictions then just this

Conn: - - - over 50 % increase in cases over the past 2 weeks - new restrictions of restaurants down to 50 % Capacity event venues down to 25 people indoors & 50 outdoors - - Capping religious gatherings to 50 % or 100 people - - -other restrictions

Mass: - - - A increase of 70 % over the last 2 weeks they are instituting nightly stay at home from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. - rest , gym's , theaters , casinos must close by 9:30 - -other restrictions

Illinois :- - - new cases up 86 % - over the past two weeks ban on indoor dining , and ban all outdoor dining must be done by 11 . Any gatherings are limited to under 25 guests and 25 % of capacity overall

New Mexico : - - -Over 40 % increase - have a stay at home order gatherings of only 5 people and bars , rest , and retail business

Colorado : - - COVID increase of 130 %

Wisc - -having restrictions - -

Idaho - - Big increase

Didn't bothering writing the others just to long but you get the Idea

I know here in Shawnee Co - St Mt Vail said hospitalizations is as high as it's ever been - -we jumped 70 % in new case and the positivity rate is at like 14/15 % - -1st time it's been over 10 % since the pandemic we are falling deep in the uncontrolled of the virus

Was talking to my friend who has a daughter in the schools and the Prinicpal of USD - that's all Topeka public schools that safd YES they will be closing the Schools - - Again hoping to make it to Thanksgiving then will be all at home until at least after the 1st of the year.

Bottom line don't be surprised when we start to shut down again - - fully believe it's coming and coming soon - -all signs pointing that way and it's already started

@mayjay said in Billy Tubbs... RIP (for once!):

@wissox Well, in fairness, OU averaged over 100 pts a game and it was by no mean just Billy Packer who turned out wrong--nobody expected KU to run with OU in the first half (both teams slowed up in the 2nd). And Brown himself didn't expect it. Letting the team loose was a response to the fact that KU shot the lights out in the first half while playing fast, missing only about 3 FGs. He would have reined them in otherwise.

Trashing Billy P makes it sound like the KU victory was somewhat expected, as if he was some aberrant pessimist about KU. KU had Manning, but no one expected the Miracles to play their heads off.

YA I remember that game for sure. - - Seems like I remember Billy saying that KU didn't want to get into a running game with Oklahoma or up and down - -something to that effect I think, I had a hard time watching that myself and just thinking point blank - - - DAM what a game in that 1st half 50-50 right ? some role players making big plays, remember Clint Normore hitting a huge shot from the top of the key late if I remember right, everybody play some really important parts in that game - - what a game.

@FarmerJayhawk The AP has already called Arizona for Biden. They currently have Biden leading by about 100k votes with 84% reporting.

The only states the AP hasn't called yet are Alaska, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

The current totals as of about 2:30pm Central Time have Trump leading Alaska, Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania and Biden leading Michigan and Nevada.

Only chance Trump has is to hold all 4 of those states, he'll win Alaska and probably North Carolina, and flip Nevada, but Pennsylvania will almost for sure flip to Biden once the votes are in.

I think it's going to end up at 290-248 Biden with Joe taking Michigan, Nevada, and flipping Pennsylvania and Trump winning Alaska, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Arizona has come to play with Trump - -something more on the votes - this whole thing is jsut crazy/ugly lawsuits - -recounts - - people saying ballots shouldn't be counted that was post marked to late just insane.

Area's of needed improvement : Question was wondering how much more he could improve , shot a very low 44% from the free throw line , How he will fit in Modern Game , And at times has an inconsistant approach to the game causing friction between him at staff while at KU

Projected Role : Imposing throw Back big
