I don't follow womens volleyball too much, but Penn St is good enough to have beaten Wisconsin earlier this season. Wisconsin has spent most of the year at the top of the rankings, but had a key injury which is when PSU beat them. But they're very dangerous and I can just imagine KU wasn't too thrilled to see them as a potential 2nd rounder.

Should be interesting, playing at home. Amped up , Penn St ranked 14th----KU ranked 15th in the Nation, - -We owe Penn St - -it's pay back time-- for them taking Coach K. - - Actually record wise KU is better. - -KU is 24-5 on the Season-- Penn State 22 -8 I believe- -pretty much a wash.- - KU the # 4 seed in the region - -Penn St the # 5 seed, and then /wissox the winner of this match tonight gets the task of taking on the winner of the Wisconsin/Miami Match- - -yippee

They have a very good 7 footer so someone to legitimately give Hunter a hard time down low. They brought back a few other key starters from the title team, added a guard transfer from Rutgers that has fit well and is scoring for them. They play hard, they know what they are doing and I don't see too many weaknesses from them considering all the talent that did leave from that title squad. They also have a very good freshman that he has been hurt but apparently will return tonight and he's a projected lottery pick so far.

All to say, they have an equal to better roster with legitimate NBA talent at guard and in the post. It's a tough matchup

I was just listening to a podcast and they were saying even though Nationally -they actually thought the promotion of Peterson in the grand scheme of things was even bigger retaining him. Kinda of what like you said ( SURPRISE ) lol that he is such a huge recruiter and had his foot print all over this 24 class including very much our Arizona trio -and talking about how current or a good portion like him as the Coach alrady, will take some of the pressure of losing players & recruits. - Does this mean we won't lose some players, no - -the change might make some players change their mind - -maybe transferring or whatever but don't think it will be massive - -thanks for your input bud.

Well tell you a little maybe help about tomorrow, as you know U Conn # 4 - -- Ku # 5. --- There is suppose to be at least 34 Pro Scouts at the game tomorrow night, that was the count as of Wednesday.

Step Castle their Freshman guard really good , is out / will not play recovering from a knee , but Alex Karaban & Tristan Newton both NBA prospects Newton has posted team leading three triple doubles.

Clingman is dam good, projected as an NBA Lottery pick, and they are saying that the Clingan and Dickinson match up will be or should be a good one to watch.

KU is going to have to play a hell of a lot better then they did the other night, these guys are really talented/good.- - They set a record the other night by winning their 24th straight Non Conference game by double digits -so there you go, maybe help you understand a little about U Conn.

Had to edit some lol. Found a little more on U Conn. -They have eight players who average double digit minutes in the game , They have five players who are averaging double digit scoring ranging from the top 16.3- -- to 14.5 , pretty balanced scoring. Clingman averages 15.0 per game but looks like just average rebounder at Six per game.

Looks like strong rebounding team though s they average 47.0 per game and they have been beating their opponents on the Season by a plus 28 points per.

Leipold did promote Jordan Peterson to co-defensive coordinator so I'm guessing Borland won't be back next season either.

Wished I had an argument to this , but I don't. & it sure doesn't look good, from TOS they had a thread/link of from the Penn St 247 boards . most the responses there sounded like from their fans it was pretty much a done deal. Someone even mentioned a possible press conference, I didn't see that anywhere and someone said there hadn't been one or anything, just a matter of time I'm afraid.

Well - - -How should I reply about the game last night and what I saw - -felt - - -thoughts about the game without offending somebody here, or feel like I stepped on someone's toes , or somebody takes things entirely wrong and think I'm just a hater ?

I guess I would have to say if anyone felt good about the way the guys played last night then --- holla. - - where to begin ? - -first I guess like has been mentioned in this thread Hunter and I've said this before Hunter is just a bad fit just doesn't seem like the right fit. - -As was mentioned by another here Hunter is a really bad liability on the defensive end. How many times did he get blistered when he was pulled out away from the basket ? They were drooling at the mouth when he was up high on D. Sure offensively he is fine, and yet even then he is slow , when we have to run a pattern offense we bog down a lot this year, like we have been in the past, these guys are at our best when we can get out and run - - run before the other guys have the chance to really sit up on D. - -I'm not trying to bash , just trying to tell it like it is- - -it is what it is. I am glad he is here BUT - - - -

This game really wasn't one persona fault for the play last night - -it was the entire team almost..- -How can you explain a team that was a 38.5 favorite is struggling like hell leading by ONE point very late in the game ?- no excuses for that - - NONE. - -ok try and try and justify it but using Hawaii - -great I give some credence for that - -I'll give you up to Twenty points off for that if you like - -what about the other eighteen they were favored by ?

Juan was sloppy with the ball , - -We got out rebounded by this team - -we shoot 3-14 from the three- - -we shoot like 67 % from the line. - Answer me this Hunter by the like eight minute mark of the FIRST HALF already had TEN rebounds, WHAT HAPPENED ? -HE GOT ONE REBOUND-- ONE the rest of the entire game, what the hell ?

I could go on but I won't I'll simply say if we continue with these problems : - -Juan scores ONE point doesn't really even look to score that often - -other teams will and can ignore him as a threat. Don't even try to justify his ONE game outing as we know that was more of an abnormality then the norm. - We have a 2 guard who can't shoot or is just reluctant to ( Jackson )- we have a four man ( KJ ) I love the guy but can't shoot past 7 foot so not a factor unless he can get a dunk- also non factor when comes to rebounding , horrible rebounding the ball- so in reality most or a lot of the times other teams have really two guys they need to guard - -Hunter & Kevin.

I'll tell you this , if I were coaching a team against KU I would 100 % play a zone against these guys and make them prove to me that they can shoot the three consistently in the game. - I'm not talking about makin one, two , three, even four - If you shoot like they normally do, and say even like four out of eighteen - -twenty I can for sure live with that , but they would have to show me that they can knock down the trey on a consistent bases in the game.- -Hunter wouldn't see the ball on the inside.

If we continue to play like we did last night - -U Conn will run us right off our own court.- -However I feel Coach is going to have a great practice today and I bet we see a different team totally Friday Night---- ROCK CHALK

Does he have any ties to Penn St ? - Old friends, former associates , Relatives ?

SOB - -I was just saying I thought keeping Coach K was just as vital if not more even then Coach Leipold-- thought Ku needed to do whatever it took to keep him here. -This is not good, and usually where there is smoke like you pointed out Farmer- -there is fire,

Just wonder if this were to happen, , if it would effect any of our recruits of 24 ? -Dam this is not at good day , as I heard this other places also

Not one good thing about this game, very un-inspiring. - -Juan was warm dog doo , just bad ball. outrebounded,-- If we don't start hitting some outside shots we are in BIG trouble. --- for the most part I'd say 80 % of the game if w didn't make a lay up we had nothing.--We play even close to this Friday we just might get run out of the gym. Plain and simple.

just came out Howard entering into portal as a grad transfer - -had heard this was coming, but he is done with K/State. - -also heard probably Bee , Bee, and Sinnet probably won't play in the bowl games

wll just saw K/State also losing one of their main RB'S also - -- Treshawn Ward the transfer from Florida St hitting portal for his grad Season

You raise a good point with UT/OU leaving there is going to be a power vacuum in football. If Lance hangs around long enough, we have as good of a chance as any to fill that void.

I'm not even sure what you can describe the upcoming Big-12 schedule as anymore. So far the Big-12 has won 83% of their games. The newcomers to the league are a combined 22-2 so far, 9 teams have 1 loss or less. Of course, it's early and some of these teams haven't played anyone but sisters for the blind but it certainly looks like this league could be even more difficult.

It will be interesting to revisit this before conference play starts.

My friends, wanted to post this morning to say how proud I am of the team. You can tell they have really been putting in the extra work. I have to say I am so proud to have a back up QB like Jason , I mean where would this team of been without him this Season ? To think he could of chosen to move on , but instead he came back and HE thanked the team and fans for allowing him to come back We should of been thanking him , or we should be. -Do you realize we were SEVEN POINTS - SEVEN from being a 10-2 team this season instead of 8-4 ? -I mean I'll take the 8-4 for sure , just goes to show the turnaround , this protectory for the future I think.

I know you really can't make comparisons ---but still fun , and here is one. Think about this - -We go to Iowa State and we win with our 2nd so called string QB -28-21.
Iowa St goes to Manhattan and like has been posted runs what like 35 plays and Hangs double that amount of points against K/State at their place , scoring 42. - -K/State has their starting QB Howard. - - ya K/State scored Seven more then we did, but again we went to Iowa State without our starting QB and won - -K/State at home with their starter and loses. I truly believe and see we are closing the gap on teams.

Something else to prove we are getting there we got this thing turned around and being a good team , did you realize we are ranked the FOURTH BEST team in total defense? - -FOURTH - -we are no longer the laughing stock in this conference. - -we rank 2nd in pass defense at 210.5 -SECOND in the League - -& we are 7th against the rush. total yardage in defense giving up 377.6 per game -but total defense we are fourth, nice improvement.

Guys some of you may laugh and that's ok , but I'm saying with what we have coming back on both sides of the ball , I think with Texas & Oklahoma leaving I really think we have a legit shot for the chase of the Big 12 championship - - I'm serious, We lost to the teams that we knew or probably thought would be hard. - -Like the media said the Conference did us no favors when they made the Schedule- - Tex , Okla , K/St , /Texas Tech , Okie St -that's a tough row - -really tough. - -Other then Texas we WAS NOT blown out of ANY game. - other then Texas our worst loss was 7 points to Oklahoma St -39-32

Well the Ladies finished their regular Season by beating UCf - -3-1 -tough match, looked like we were going to set 5 but Coach challenged UCF last point and won the challenge , The Ladies won the lsat 2 points & took the Match.

KU Ladies and end up 23-5 overall and I think 13-4 in League. - -Find out tomorrow night whether we will host first two rounds next week- -would be huge. - -ESPN tomorrow night to find out - great job Ladies

The ladies came up just short against # 9 Virginia Tech yesterday - -59- - 58 . - The Reason was simple - -a player from Virginia Tech named Kitley
her line ? - - - 31 points - -18 rebounds - -5 blocks - -& 3 assists , but even putting that aside- -the Ladies should of still won - came down to free throws - - -KU - -8-16-you not gonna win games like this when you can't take advantage of free points. - -Ku missed their free throws - -and Virginia Tech didn't - plain and simple.

Ya buddy, I think we will see Jamari for 3 for sure unless he just jumps leaps and bounds. - -I think he is going to have a very solid career when it's all said and done. Now I could be way wrong on this but seems like he keeps his composure , again might be wrong but I like him
