South vs Midwest Region • Mar 11, 2020 02:33 AM

BYU doesn’t really scare me, I do dislike playing teams we have beaten because it gives them extra motivation and a chance to see exactly what they did wrong on tape.

NCAA has announced that its going forward with everything at this point. No plans for canceling or playing in empty venues at this time.

@DanR very nice my friend

@approxinfinity all fiction no malice lol

@approxinfinity bully haha 😂 😂😂😂

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 10, 2020 10:37 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I’d be fine if the B12 did the same but too much money at stake for the bigger conferences.

@jayballer73 the other 30% aren’t dead. The morality rate they are saying is now closer to 1% depending on the source. In your case buddy, I’d stay at home as much as you guys are able. Hopefully y’all have some family that can help bring you supplies when needed.

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 10, 2020 05:48 PM

Lot's of interesting games will be played in the major conference tournaments. I think the B12 is set outside of Texas, I believe they have to beat Tech and maybe even the winner of our game to feel comfortable. I don't see a major upset coming in this conference, I bet whomever wins it is already in the field of 68. The most intriguing games this week are in the Pac 12, Big 10 and SEC IMO. The Pac 12 has a good share of teams that will make or break their chances. Stanford, UCLA and ASU all probably need at least one win maybe two for Stanford. I think this conference has a chance to have an upset and a team on the outside gets the Auto-Bid. I think Oregon is a solid team but the rest are evenly matched, if someone can upset the ducks, it's anyone's game. I personally don't think its anything other than the usual suspects in the B10. Maryland, MSU and Wisconsin have the best teams and one of those teams gets it done. Indiana is really the only bubble team for that conference, Purdue has an outside shot. If one of those teams can win 2 games, maybe even 3 for Purdue. They should get in but Purdue would have to play MSU in the second game and I think that's a easy win for the Spartans. The SEC I think is another where you could see a team get in that wouldn't without winning the tournament. Mississippi state, Florida and South Carolina are teams that still have a chance to get an at large bid. I wouldn't sleep on Arkansas, they got back their man guy (forget his name) and he makes them a much better team. With Florida and Kentucky on the top side and the other 3 on the bottom side. I think the one of the trio of MSU, SC and Arkansas gets to the title game and upsets UK or Florida for the auto -bid.

Edit: i don't care care about the ACC lol

I think people are getting a little too crazy at this point. Over 70% of people in China that got the virus are now recovered and doing fine. That’s where it hit the worst. Sounds like it’s high risk for elders and people with immune disorders. I’d recommend them folks not going out unless it is a must. Everyone else wash their hands often. I bet it blows over by the end of April.

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 10, 2020 12:55 AM

@BShark Steve Forbes should be headed to a power 5 job as soon as he wants it.

South vs Midwest Region • Mar 09, 2020 05:29 PM

I'm gonna agree with the positive vote here and say the South as well. Venue to me is nice but its also should be noted that teams don't usually shoot the 3 as well in the huge domes made for football. Our 3 point defense is suspect at times and we don't seem to shoot well regardless.

@BShark for sure they are probably on the 12 line, liberty is probably a 13-14 and Utah state a 10-11. So we probably won’t see them baring major upsets.

Liberty and Utah State look like a couple of teams that could pull an upset. I don’t want to see ETSU again personally.

Big 12 Awards • Mar 09, 2020 12:27 AM

@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Big 12 Awards:

@BeddieKU23 said in Big 12 Awards:

Self goes 17-1 and doesn't win COY. Gtfu

Voters should have their rights revoked

If you're mad about that, check out the Naismith COTY Semifinalists. Somehow Calipari is on there and Self isn't.

That’s really quite laughable, preseason #2 team in the land that’s currently ranked 8th. Won a crap conference that probably has 1 or zero teams make it outta the first weekend of the tournament. All with bought blue chip players, La Te Da..

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 08, 2020 11:36 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I like WSUs odds to get in if they can win a couple of games in Fort Worth. I really want to play them.

Big 12 Awards • Mar 08, 2020 10:05 PM

Crazy to think Garrett leads the conference in assists and is the best defender but is on the 3rd team SMH. They just didn’t want too many hawks on the first and second team I guess. We did completely dominate the league...

Big 12 Awards • Mar 08, 2020 09:56 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Drew has a good season but I just feel like Self doesn’t get it as often as he should.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 09:47 PM

I’m not sure Mitch starts next season. I think we could see a Garrett, Ochai, Bryce, Braun and Dave line up. With Mitch playing some off the bench at the 4 and 5. We know Mitch will go to war for us but I’m just not sure he is a major D1 guy if I’m being honest. Hopefully I’m wrong he has upped his game during this redshirt year.

Big 12 Awards • Mar 08, 2020 09:42 PM

@BeddieKU23 I agree and as I said earlier, they had to have voted for that a week or two ago.

Big 12 Awards • Mar 08, 2020 09:19 PM

Must have voted for Drew before they Drew’d and lost 3 of 4 😂

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 08, 2020 07:33 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 haha don’t blame you

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 08, 2020 06:35 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 how close are you to Fort Worth? Would be fun to watch, I think 5 teams could win that tournament given the right day.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 06:31 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 rightfully so, dude fouled out in 4 minutes. I’m not sure if there is a record kept on that but it’s got to be close lol.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 06:30 PM

@BShark agreed, I think next years team will be much better offensively. The defense will be a question outside of Garrett. At least probably easy on before Self breaks them in.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 06:26 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 Dot and Doke won’t be replaced. I think we could see Dave score more than Doke but not have his presence in the game. Will be hard to replace Dots speed and driving ability.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 06:22 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 we didn’t and sometimes players just don’t fit and that was probably was the case with Grimes. I just didn’t appreciate his Dad running his mouth. @Texas-Hawk-10 you could very well be right.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 06:13 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 I agree about Grimes’ dad, I’m glad he is doing better in Houston.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 06:06 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 I do agree that Dokes injury was obviously crippling to the team.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 06:01 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 I’ll agree to disagree with you. The same sources that told me Grimes was withdrawing from the draft and transferring, that everyone disagreed with me on. I’m am very curious as to what games we won because of Grimes and last season was arguably Selfs worst here so we were kinda screwed lol.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 05:50 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 my inside sources had nothing positive to report on the Lawson boys. They were all about themselves is what I heard repeatedly. Grimes didn’t quit and leave the team but I’m watching him play against Memphis right now, he has scored 8 straight points for Houston and is without question playing harder than he ever did in a KU Jersey.

Jacque Vaughn new Nets HC • Mar 08, 2020 05:05 PM

I really hope this works for Jacque, one of the all time greats here and a member of some of the first teams I remember watching. I think if he can be named the HC, he will have a much better shot than he did in Orlando. This team has some good pieces assuming KD and Kyrie return healthy next season.

Win It Outright Game Thread • Mar 08, 2020 05:01 PM

@dylans I really like coach Beard, he’s pretty much the new Eddie Sutton to me. A good coach that’s really good friends with Self and is pure class. I personally like Huggins and Boyton as well. Weber is really the only coach in the league that’s a total dip stick.

Team Chemistry • Mar 08, 2020 04:56 PM

I think this team is very close to one another and Self seems to be enjoying coaching them. We don’t have the cancerous Vick, or Grimes/Lawsons only worried about themselves.

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 08, 2020 04:24 PM

Both Miller brothers seem like d-bags, them and Cal are coaches I just can’t stand. They seem counterfeit as soon as their mouths open.

2020 Bubble Watch • Mar 08, 2020 03:32 AM

Belmont has won the OVC tournament, joining Utah State with an Automatic Bid.

NOA response from KU discussion • Mar 08, 2020 01:26 AM

It will be very interesting to see what path this goes down. The NCAA as KU pointed did jump to conclusions and break their own rules. Also sounds like 90% of dirt on KU comes from Zions recruitment which they have apparently refused to look at. Also they had pretty much put the hush hush on Arizona tho supposedly they have a recording of Miller talking about giving Ayton 100k. Miller was so guilty he even said good bye to fans after last season but nothing has come of it. At this point it plenty obvious that a good chunk of schools are breaking rules. Over 60 were listed in this probe. If they only go after KU, I’d expect a discrimination law suit at this point. It looks really bad for them that none of the Nike schools that have dirt are being punished. That’s before you get into UNCs fake class scandal having zero consequences. I’ll just called like I see it Nike is funneling money to the NCAA some how. I’d pretty much put my life on it.

Other Games • Mar 08, 2020 12:56 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 if more bubble teams keep losing, the door will be open still lol.

Other Games • Mar 08, 2020 12:53 AM

Oklahoma not doing themselves any favor at this point either down 11 to TCU with 4 to play. B12 is gonna mess around and only 4 teams in.

Other Games • Mar 08, 2020 12:51 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I agree, I’ll add this OKSt all the sudden could be dangerous. They have won 6 of 8 and gave KU and WV a game early. They also got completely robbed in Waco by the zebras.

Other Games • Mar 08, 2020 12:39 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 that was good ending to start the official madness season!!

Other Games • Mar 08, 2020 12:34 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 that was a shot! I enjoy watching these smaller conference title games almost as much as the real deal. Utah State as a 9 or 10 is a tough out. They guard and can shoot it.

Other Games • Mar 08, 2020 12:21 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 a loss doesn’t knock them out or really move them down. But just about every source has them as the 2 or 3 team out currently

Other Games • Mar 08, 2020 12:10 AM

Big game for bubble teams on CBS with Utah State up 4 on SDSU. This is a one team league if SDSU pulls it off. I’d not a bubble team gets bounced.

Other Games • Mar 07, 2020 10:27 PM

Texas trying to keep out of the tournament today. Getting absolutely destroyed at home by 16-14 OK State.

Win It Outright Game Thread • Mar 07, 2020 10:26 PM

@jayballer73 I don’t think it was a foul, a trash shot that was too early. Players don’t try to come down doing the splits lol, he only kicked that leg out to make contact. The reply from the front you can clearly see it. They got garbage calls the whole second half.

Devon Dotson Appreciation Thread • Mar 07, 2020 10:17 PM

It will be interesting to see who gets B12 player of the year but I gotta think both Dot and Doke will be on at least the second team all America.

Win It Outright Game Thread • Mar 07, 2020 10:01 PM

Solid win against 8 most of the game, continue to be worried about both 3 point offense and defense going forward.

Win It Outright Game Thread • Mar 07, 2020 08:54 PM

When their 5 can shoot better than our guards. That’s a problem and speaks just how ungodly bad this team is shooting. Maybe the worst shooting KU team in at least 70 years
