@Crimsonorblue22 highly unlikely, last time I looked he is the 12th highest paid coach in CBB. He makes more than a couple of coaches with a national title. With his big contract and very little pressure where he’s at, I’d be shocked if he leaves. He’s struggling in a decent league right now.

@bskeet I read several time that the government has taken money from social security. That obviously doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. What I mean by spending money that ain’t theirs is the fact that it isn’t lol. They have a tax for just about every thing, that is the American populations money that’s supposed to be used to help the said American citizens. I’d recommend googling what some of our tax money is spent on. 200 million was spent a few years to see if monkeys were more sexually active while on cocaine. Imagine you and you wife going over your budget and deciding to spend much more than you make on silly stuff like that. Then see if how it impacts your household. There is no consequence for their actions, no pay grade based on their performance. They’ll still have their mansions and benzs to go home to. If you budget like that, you’ll be on streets.
One other thing getting back into defense and Self being set in his ways is going under ball screens on shooters. I love coach Self but some times I believe he’s too set in his ways. We seen it this year when he continued to start 2 bigs tho it got us in a hole almost every time. Going under ball screens doesn’t work, you can’t give a shooter a clean look at the hoop. It’s not 1994 anymore, multiple guys can hit a 25 foot jump shot at a 40% clip these days. It lead to some open shots last night. It was absolutely killer vs Michigan and VCU in the NCAA tournament. I’d love to see us not do this so often.
@stoptheflop I think that is some of the trouble. Last night as stated Garrett and Dot stayed with their assignments most the time while the other 2 guards switched most the time. That lead to some confusion. I think if you wanna switch, you should do it with everyone to eliminate mistakes. We saw Doke on Bane twice and he left him wide open, which lead to 2 easy 3 pointers. As I’ve said before I’d take a contested 2 even with a smaller defender over leaving a shooter open by 10 foot. I’d say no switch with Doke but all guards switch at this point. If someone gets hot, I put Garrett on him and tell them not to switch at all.
@dylans I have been less excited this season than any other that I can remember to be honest. I had a rough year in 2019 personally, that coupled with the NCAA NOA had tampered me a fair amount.
WSU down 12 to Memphis on the road late currently. They came back from double digits against SMU to remain in the last four in on several bracket predictions. Hard to imagine them getting in without winning the American conference tournament at this point. They have a solid record at 22-8 with a loss tonight. But have 1 win over a quadrant 1 team. Would be tough to make a case for a team finishing in 5th in that conference to get in.
Wake Forest isn’t a job that I’d would’ve taken in Danny’s position. We know Danny is a competitor and wanted to make the jump to major college basketball from Tulsa. I don’t blame him for trying but we all know how KSU and WSU are both our little brothers because of the success of the program here. That’s magnified in North Carolina because they are not only the little bro of blue bloods UNC and Dook. But NC State has a decent program and is historically much better than Wake. Outside of the Tim Duncan years and 2003. They have done zip for the most part since the 60s. It’s also bad that there are 13 D1 basketball programs in that state. Some guys probably over look them because they think they’d play more at a Davidson type of school and be successful rather than get stomped by the other ACC teams in the state on a yearly basis.

@wissox I’m the same exact way, I don’t get excited til the elite 8 game. We have had realistically 10 teams in my lifetime that had the ability to win a title IMO. We have 1 in that same time frame. I like this team, I still believe defense wins championships. This team arguably the best defensively Self has had. But we still have flaws, last night we definitely saw some of those. If that was a second round NCAA game at a neutral site, we probably lost. As good as we are defensively we struggle mightily guarding the 3 ball. Some of its Selfs philosophy, he believes the 3 is fools gold. I’d rather give up a contested 2 than an open 3. We do have the line moving back and teams overall shooting at a lesser percentage working for us. I love this time of year but I’ll stay reserved for awhile yet. I feel like our fan base is super cocky right now and when that happens it spells trouble in tournament almost everytime.
@Bosthawk I’d much rather have Wilson healthy than have Grimes on this team. He’s shooting the ball worse from 3 and averages 3 points more per game than last season. But he’s shooting the ball 3 more times a game. He seems a bit more engaged defensively but I don’t see him getting a ton of minutes if he was here.

I’m against the two party system and believe them all to be crooks so I will vote for an independent but most the time when I see the stuff Democrat’s are putting on social media. Ochai is more likely to turnover the ball if he catches it. He has been a turnover machine as of late. Obviously Dot and Moss are the go to guys when getting the ball in late when other teams are looking to foul. Marcus is as good as a ball handler as Dot and is the best passer on the team. That gives you a better chance once the ball is entered, Garrett shoots 62% from the line and Ochai 67% so you are pretty much a wash there. As @Crimsonorblue22 doing it quick is usually the best.

Self said in post game that both Marcus and Doke said they felt good before and after the game. He said if they had a set back he would definitely consider resting them going forward but doesn’t seem like they are in too bad of shape.
OSU was able to extend KSUs losing streak to 10. Winning 69-63, I got a good laugh watching the last few minutes. McGuril for KSU ran into a ref and laid himself out and they showed highlights of Sneed missing a break away dunk he tired to showboat on (second one that I’ve seen, Diarra had the first). Haha that is one sorry club at this point, may finish the season with not only more punches than wins but missed dunks 🤣🤣🤣
Odd that KSU vs OSU is the U but we are on Plus... I guess they have to sell it some how...
Notre Dame is hammering FSU to make a push late. I’m sure there is a scenario where we aren’t a number 1 seed even if we lose the next 2.

One of the reasons college basketball is so lovable. Gives guys like Svi and Doke to name a few, a chance to turn not only their lives around but their families. Goodness we went from no seniors in 2016 to losing some great guys these past few years. Guys that grew so much as players and people. Never heard of any of them getting in trouble. I love all my Jayhawks but Mason, Graham, Svi and Doke are guys that I’ll never forget. That list keeps growing, it’s sad but I’m glad it happened. Thank you Udoka Azubuike!
@Crimsonorblue22 TCU has played above their heads the last 2 games. They wouldn’t be 16-14 if they played that well on a consistent basis. Usually they only have have Bane offensively, other guys have actually put the ball in the hole recently.

They are 9-15 from 3 in the first half good for 60%, but up by a bucket. Guarantee you Dixon is telling those guys they have to shoot at least that hot again because KU missed several FTs and open 3s.
Several 3s were contested, no reason to panic at this point. Hopefully the law of averages kicks in and we keep feeding Doke.
