Look up how many people are dying from the flu in this country, then look at cancers, starvation and suicide. Tell me which are an epidemic? As @dylans said, those people in Washington died in an old folks home. Which doesn’t mean that it should be ignored but most virus are fatal to the elderly. Never trust the media my friend.

Tech had a guy wide open under the bucket on a fast break with 13 seconds to go down one. It was noticed way too late and was a crappy pass. Both teams were super sloppy late. I thought Baylor got lucky on a timeout out call that should’ve been a tie up or a travel. If he has possession to get a TO, then he travelled. That play lead to a Baylor 3.

Overtime

Tied at 60 with a second left both teams have turned it over 3 straight times.

Unfortunate for Doke, I honestly wish they’d consider medical redshirts for guys in his situation. I doubt he’d take it at this point anyway but he has missed time in every season due to injury and over half the season as a freshman and junior. Ankle injuries can be minor and not a big deal or they can nag for months at a time. I’d consider setting him til the second round of the NCAA tournament if it means he will be close to a 100%. It just will suck to not see him play on senior night if it turns out to be the serious type.

@BigBad Awesome for you and your son! If you have GA tickets get there at least 2.5 hours before tip. If you have reserved seats, I’d still go 1.5 hours early to get to walk around. I’m not a 100% sure but I don’t think the Booth hall of athletics was there 15 years ago either. The Debruce center doesn’t take long to go thru, the Hall has tons of KU sports memorabilia. The Debruce center houses Naismith’s original rules and has some cool quotes. I’d recommend driving by the Fieldhouse at night, the Debruce center has quotes that light up and it’s cool to see at night. The Holiday Inn on the south side is nice as is the Hampton off if 6th. We usually stay at one of those, the price is usually fair.

Your son with have a blast on Massachusetts street. Can’t really go wrong eating anywhere in Lawrence. My wife and I usually go to a different spot everytime and it’s always been good. Jefferson’s has always been one of my favorites but you can’t go wrong with the Burger stand, Fuzzys tacos or Minksy’s pizza either. Tons of fun shopping there too. I enjoy finding names in the back of the Jock Nitch (former KU athletes have signed the walls). Looks like the weather is supposed to be good, walking around campus should be fun and very doable.

@approxinfinity I saw that, I personally thought that the double technical was weak. Other than a couple of pretty hard fouls on Doke, it was business as usual.

@approxinfinity I noticed the same thing and on mobile when scores, they won’t show them and didn’t last lost either. You have to click see full scoreboard, even tho they show every other ranked team on the drop down.

To anyone that watched the end of the Dook game, now you know why I get mad when our bigs bring the ball down. If Carey goes straight up as soon as he catches it. The defense doesn’t have time to close in and they probably win the game.

My gosh, good for him but that’s crazy. That’s more money than half the starting QBs made last season. I wouldn’t pay anyone that much for commentary, I don’t think people are tuning in just for him.

I think Brandon may get another year after this, I’m not sure if I like it or not. He has had a ton of injuries to star players since arriving and this team is youthful. Not crazy to think they could be a tournament team next season.

A interesting day for sure, WV and Tech continue to fall apart in this conference and Dook looks bad right now the national scene. It will be interesting to see what happens with Texas and OU in regards to the tournament.

With Ok st beating ISU, KSU has clinched a last place finish.

@FarmerJayhawk they are 9-20 now, people don’t want to watch losers. Attendance was 9,003 I’d say that was a little generous.

A good win with Doke on the bench hurt for most of it. If we played hard for more than 10 minutes, it would been a 15 plus point win. I know you can’t bring it every game but against a rival, I’d be lying if I wasn’t a little disappointed. A win is a win especially against them turds.
