@jayballer67 TCU is really the only bad loss we have, I think every team we have played has a good shot at a bowl game. UNLV, WV and Illinois are all much better than predicted. The trouble is we are going to likely end up playing 4 ranked teams in our final 6 games. Needing to win 5 of those. It’s all about getting reset here during the off week and starting a new season against Houston.

He was the most penalized player in the league last season. He has consistently moved early or held not sure at what point do you plant his hind end on the bench

@rockchalkjayhawk JD is better on the run IMO, I liked most of the play calls last night. Usually on a roll out the QB is given more time to throw and had better vision of where he is throwing. JD has struggled seeing linebackers and underneath coverage in the pocket. That has led to many of his picks.

@jayballer67 defense was definitely the issue last night, not sure anyone would argue that. But several other games the offense had chances to help and didn’t or turned the ball over. Last night was KUs first lost in a long without a TO.

I really think the bye week came at the perfect time. I think you just have to sit everyone down and start over at square one starting tomorrow. If you are making a coaching staff change now is the time to do. You let every player and coach vent, let out that frustration. Do it behind closed doors hopefully fists fly and straighten up some folks. More forward as a team.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I think the defense is mostly to blame for last nights loss. I just don’t get how you get so pissy when a coach’s is from Texas that has struggled and gets called out. Cobee without question should’ve been smart enough not do that tho I see more physicality at my daughters ballet lessons. Watch a couple of Grimms catches on the sidelines and tell me he isn’t shoved several yards out of bounds considerably harder. It was silly mistake and an even sillier penalty. If you are going to throw penalties for hand fighting they probably missed at least 50 penalties last night. The inconsistency is the issue there, the commentators said the exact same thing. Several plays they let that go so I guess I’m at least not the only blind idiot. As stated the defense has several starters out due to injuries and returned only 5 guys. If you would remove your face from Grimes groin area. You would see that this team has one the best WR and RB rooms in the conference with a line that is rated top 5 in the same conference by PFF. Every talking head locally and nationally has talked of Grimes stupidity this year. But once again everyone is stupid but @Texas-Hawk-10. Grimes is a god and we are lucky to have him.

On the hold if you watch it the receiver grabs Cobee first and they hand fight it happens on almost every pass play and they had let it go to that point on both sides. Then the late hit where the guy flops a second and a half after barely barely being pushed with one hand. We can use a little bit of common sense looking at Cobee’s size and sniff out it wasn’t Shaq pushing him. You seem to be mad at anyone that calls out Grimes on here. Yes the great OC that’s now 2-18 vs FBS in his last 20 games as an OC. What competent Coach that was fired from Baylor apparently unjustly in his greatness.

Well the Royals had an obvious Out not called and dropped game one. It’s all gravy at this point don’t get me wrong just wished something went right today.

Anyone have any idea as to how in the actual F*** USC is ranked in the top 11? I’ve never been sold on Riley in the slightest, he’s one of those guys that started coaching on third base but hasn’t proven he can even make contact with the ball.

@Kcmatt7 as much as it pains me admit, coach LL has to start taking heat for losing 5 straight games we led in the 4th quarter or late in the 3rd.

As one of the guys that has consistently got on Grimes this season. I didn’t agree with everything tonight but he easily called his best game as a KU coach in this one.

@Crimsonorblue22 I agree Cobee had a bad game and some mental errors but 2 of his penalties were pure garbage IMO. He as a senior has to be much smarter than he was. Oddly enough if they called Qs catch incomplete we prob use another minute and win the game. We are back to every thing that can go wrong will for us.

@jayballer67 I’ll give Brian a little bit of a break in the defense because they have played good enough to win every game but the last 2. That’s dealing with some key injuries and only having 5 returning starters. The defense looked better when healthy IMO.

@Crimsonorblue22 that’s a positive, the offense looked pretty good much of the night. The game was won by the better team in the trenches which happens often at this level. We had very little penetration up front, several times they got offensive lineman on our linebackers. Thats a recipe for disaster in any football game. The biggest issue with the offense was the first and goal from the five only got 3 points. They also had zero points off of two turnovers. The defense was just plain bad 2 turnovers were really the only bright spots.

@FarmerJayhawk don’t set yourself for that heart break man. This team likely ain’t winning another game as @nuleafjhawk said. Maybe the world goes back to normal with KU stinking in football again.

@FarmerJayhawk yep we just said they are wearing down been on the field all half. I honestly think I’d be a better OC than Grimes with zero experience. If you told me this was his first year coaching I’d a 100 percent believe. Either way glad to have the 6

@wissox the refs ain’t the reason we are losing but they definitely had some head scratching calls and of course all of those calls went ASUs way. I don’t get how every iffy call has gone against us since 2009. We have enough trouble with football as it is.
